As someone who straps wood for a living you all need strap corner protectors they make them in plastic, cardboard and metal.

Yep, definitely recommend those. For the initial wood shipments they should use cardboard and reusable metal corner protectors. They can save those and ship them back to re-use along with the cardboard. The individual boxes should use the smaller cardboard sections (~2-3") to reinforce it a bit and distribute the load.

I should say that one of the boxes for my table was basically destroyed (one end open, one end slight crushed and had obviously been carried by the straps so much they dug holes into the box and were loose) and my only issues were fitment, not shipping damage 👍

Of the 3 options (No logo, Branded logo, Wait for the laser logo) I would wanted a branding logo even if it wasn't perfect. In the gaming space, you guys have created a brand identity that has value! I think the reason MGT was a smash is because is the first piece of furniture with a wormwood logo that people could afford.

Im not a backer, but even I would want my table on hold until it was sold exactly as advertised. Laser engraved and all. I genuinely dont mind the wait for a quality, loved and cared for product.

Same. The logo is important because it marks the table as made by Wyrmwood, not some other random company. Especially if it's only 2 weeks, I'd rather have the logo.

Yeah, and you know that with Wyrmwood, any wait is because there's some throughput bottleneck they have to resolve as fast as humanly possible, and not because it's some company that doesn't GAF and does things haphazardly.

as a backer I'd rather just get my table. In the kickstarter exclusive video they already said if the logo was a problem they'd ship new aprons to backers after the kickstarter was finished.

The angular arm wasn't great, but kudos to Ed to trying everything. Also, I'd gladly take the table with no logo rather than pushing back the delivery date.

You know it is weird that from looking at these episodes nobody would even think that they have a kickstarter running right now. These campaigns do super well but feel kind of abandoned once the goals are hit. I have way less concerns because of this than I had with MGT, but it feels somehow wrong to be part of a multimillion kickstarter that has so little happening. If possible could you grab some of the Dispel Dice next episode and just roll em on camera? I would really like to see what they look like in normal lighting.

This is an odd thing they do. MGT photos are still scarce. I just looked to preorder from the corrupted collection and they have yet to update some photos.

Personally, I can tell you why I wouldn't want my drink holder on the arm of the chair: elbows. Anything sitting attached to the arm of my chair is going to be knocked over six thousand times just going to the bathroom.

I had the same thought about spilling a drink by knocking it with my arm. I do think the rail on the arm is still genius. Would it be too ugly to have rails on both the arm and the seat so each user can decide the best place for their various accessories?

My taste tends toward the more "rustic" side. I'd actually prefer a burn brand than a laser brand. The tiny imperfections that often come from doing it by hand just fit, for me.

I hope Crazy Ed has a test Prophecy back there because between the armrests and the cupholders to the side, I'm curious to see how many of those chairs actually comfortably fit at a table.

@CrazyEd's a champion - always has been. It's just like I said with the big Hex dice tray - make it modular, so you can fit sets of them together, and so it links in with the tables. The modular idea is great - keep it, expand it.

I have to say I really like the quality of the videos as of late! It feels like a nice blend of the old style and the new. It just feels like people are having a good time. Those arms are totally uggies, but then again if I can warm up to a Cybertruck, maybe I could warm up to them.

• I like the curved with the bevel, before the polygon one. • I love the armrest rail add-on feature. However I'm concerned about knocking your drink with your elbow during intense games. But then again, that might just be due to individual human error. • Love that ending segment. So hilarious.

Yeah, just you. I want my table now. :) I'm half joking. I am willing to wait for the overall quality of the table... the absence of a logo or a logo which is 2 microns off... is not going to bother me. I want the wood and the build to be good... I don't care about the logo as much.

I'm really enjoying these sneak peaks into the development of the chairs. I personally am not in as big a rush as others of getting my table. I want the logo, looking the best possible it can. I bought a table from you guys because I wanted a Wyrmwood table with the Wyrmwood logo.

My only issue with the rails on the arms is I would just be waiting for someone that talks with their hands to knock it over. That said, its a super convenient place for the charge pad. I don't hate the angular arms either, I just don't know if it goes with the style of the Prophecy.

I like polyarm, but not at a prophecy. Smooth curves and N64 don't work together. Accessory rail on the arm is pure genius.

We want tables with laser logos, chairs with no arms (although if there is not a no arm option, the Crazy Ed arm accessory rail for sure), and to see you make better vector files for your laser - it would cut half the time required to cut each coaster cork. Come on Mr. Dougficiency!

My two concerns about the magnetic drink holders in the arms would be people gesturing and hitting the holder out of the chair; spilling the drink and trying to pull the chair up with the armrests under the table while a drink is in the holder.

Nice episode back to the core of making furniture and the trails and tribulations of it. For the logo- ask the backer if they want theirs only with a logo (brand or if must be laser) or if ok with unlogoed, and the slide folks in the ship queue based on the responses.

I think it could work if they offered a table and chairs that was completely angular like that. And you could call it dwarven or retro-polygonal and it works either way. But yeah, doesn't work with the Prophecy though.

I personally like a bit of curve in the arm, but I'd be happy with some of the other designs too. The third chair looks great, and that idea of Ed's to have the accesseries on the arm instead of the base of the chair's genius!

that arm makes me think of 'nightmare before christmas' kind of vibes, while i dont think it would be a great idea on the 'standard chair' maybe in the the next MGT kickstarter the chairs could have the arms be the 'modular' part. that way we could pick and choose ourselves. love that you guys continue to put out great insightful content.

The armrest that Doug didn't like, reminded me of Lloth and the designs of the drow in the underdark. I really liked the way it looked in the chair, like you were sitting in Lloths Throne. As a Dungeon Master , that is the chair i want to sit in. It speaks volumes, then you add the accessories and boom you are balling.

i like Ed's angled arm IF it matched a theme for the rest of the chair. for example if they did themed furniture for different core races of DnD, that would be insane. flowy, curvy, nature-ey designs for an Elven line, Ed's angled, geometric, stone-ey look for a Dwarven line. i admit, i've got lothlorien and dwarrowdelf in the back of my mind, but the possibilities are endless! future kickstarter?????

If all the hex tiles are going to have coasters on the bottom, magnetize those chair arm cleats so people can use their chair/table accessories and/or the hexes on their chair arms.

I like the final arm with the rail. And honestly, I'm 6'2" and pretty husky. Those original chair dimensions would probably fit me like a glove. Also, I think I'd prefer the branded logo over the laser one.

@Wyrmwood you posed a question " Why would anyone want their magnetic holders on the seat rather than on the arm of a chair", simple, when it is attached to the seat it is out of the way. Also the movement of grabbing something low on a seat like that isn't that strange, ever ben to the park with a folding chair. Test both out and see which you like better. Finally, interesting shipping test.

as someone who works at a ups I know that people will end up picking up big packages like those by the straps themselves and it will end up cutting into the box so what I would recommend (just to be extra safe not necessary) is to tape down the straps so that doesn't happen.

In the chair design where you have the drink holder in the arm, why not make it hollow in the middle and have pegs that you can put in different places in the arm so that it secures the holder in place. Knowing gamers, the more secure the drink holder the better!

Genuinely curious, yall ever thought of putting a rail cover of some kind on the magnetic rail to avoid getting stuff in that crevices. Seems like it would be a pain having to clean it on the regular

Doug! How can you not recognize the value of a brand . . . or a brand? I wasn't able to back the MGT, but to me the Wyrmwood brand actually is more than just a mark of trade, and I'd be willing to wait an extra 5% or 10% of the long expected wait time to have the logo on my table.

Doug is right about the arms on the chairs. Curved is much better. I like the idea of them matching the prophecy even though I'll probably never own one. The rails in the arms are super smart. My only concern though is how it looks. I wonder if you can put in a wooden "cap" of some kind over just the arm rail so that it can look like nice solid wood if you're not using the rails. Or just make it fit well with the overall look. Armrests are just so visible.

So far my preferred arm is the one that doug drew alterations on, if it was altered. I agree that the curvature doesn't go with the rest of the chair, but I think that if the outer corner of the legs was rounded like the mgt, and the seat made less square and more tapered with the front lip maybe rounded or lightly chamfered, it would tie in nicely. I think it's about making the little changes that tie it all together. It's not a good looking chair right now.

You should have a polling system for asking backers what they want. I'm sure some backers feels strongly that they want the laser ethced logo, some feel strongly they just want it ASAP and some are fine with a branded logo. If I was a backer I would be fine with either as long as I got to choose and didn't just get sent something unexpectedly.

the coloseum is pretty much an ellipsis, so you could fit many different curves against it depending on which part of the wall you use.

The magnetic rail in the chair arm almost makes having arms on the chair worth it. But I still don't see the point if it goes at a table.

Not sure if you figured out the chair drawer. You could have the seat open up to have a storage compartment. You would have to stand up to use it.

I've had this thought for a couple of episodes now. Anytime I was looking at making chairs, there was a "standard" height, depth and width. Has anyone looked at this instead of "playtesting" builds over and over. Design is where you win, build for function and go from there.

Please reconsider the sharp corners on the inside of the chair arm. People who are larger or don't sit in the traditional way are going to scrap their legs on those inside corners. That said, the rail on the arm is awesome.
