You missed the most important enchantment you could possibly have in that deck. The amazing Quest for Ula's Temple. I have a Sultai Sea Serpents deck that usually does nothing, but sometimes is just overwhelming in power. Runo is in the 99 of course.
Love it, every once in a while you gotta make a themed deck for fun. I am in the process of a all out mono black, zombie. Good old zombies, so much out there, but I am just collecting them as I go and as new sets come up, I search for that theme of dark, zombie, apocalyptic.
Yoooo I also run a zombie deck with a similar goal. It makes going through new sets so much more fun for me when I'm trying to gunt down specific themes or art.
I had wrexial in here but found the legend rule was really hurting their value. The art looks so cool though it will probably end up making it's way back in lol
I've been wanting to make this one since seeing the alt black and white art. Hopefully will have it done soon enough before people catch on the fun of some of these Innistrad commanders.

If you want dark depths to work combo with thespian stage, thespian stage becomes a copy but didnt enter the battlefield when becoming the copy so it gets no counters and make a big old monster
I also want to build a sea creature deck, but I'm stuck between running Runo for UB or Brinelin and Ikra Shidiqi for UBG which opens up all the nice UG sea creatures
Nightscape Familiar can make blue spells cost 1 less. He's a zombie, but that's undead adjacent..?? Aethersnipe and Great Whale are sneaky good here! Negate from Ixalan is water-themed too. The card Foil has a water-themed version as well. You Come to a River can bounce or make something unblockable. Into the Roil's new art is water-themed. Expel from Orazca goes from bounce to 'put to top deck' if you Ascend. EverFLOWING Chalice, eh? EH? I have a Kiora, Behemoth Beckoner Oathbreaker that's as good as mono blue, because sea monsters.
Yoooo thanks for the recommendations!! Just picked up an aethersnipe and ixalan promo negate! The great whale is a little pricier but def might need to pick it up that is insane ramp with some of the reanimation spells.
I love the theming of the deck, but bro.....Vesuva needs to be in there as a land to make Dark Depths function. The art on it fits so well with the water/ocean theme.
So unfortunately vesuva doesn't work with dark depths as it "enters as a copy of" so it still gets the counters but I do have Thespian's Stage in there to help get my girl Marit Lage out.
