Yeah I think Russel needs to change the way he portrays his videos. Before I started listening to them they always looked “clickbaity” with the thumbnail pics and “over aggressive” titles. Basically the opposite of what I’ve found Russ to be.

Note: On second thought, it's unlikely that Russell has a 130 IQ, most likely 110-120 (still smart and above average, but nowhere near genius levels, which is a big difference).

Though I am not a JP fan, I'm understanding more & more the value of embracing those with differing opinions as a means for us all to connect & reducing the division between us. Nothing is gained by trying to shout each other down &, in fact, so much is learned by having open discussions. In fact, I'm hoping to have some meaningful interactions with JP fans on this thread. In the past I have found people willing to talk openly about their opposing views, without resorting to name calling & belittling of course, & got a lot out of it. I've found that a lot of people's beliefs stem from fear & personal experience, which is exaggerated by our modern day disconnection. This means that solutions can & will be found in talking, listening & connecting with each other. So it's a good thing that we're starting to understand how important actual human contact is & will be encouraging each other to connect on the simplest level possible, face to face.

I kept noticing how when Brand talking about change and challenging power, Peterson had an alternative, lukewarm position, when he wasn't simply pivoting away from the topic with his infamous bullshit world salad. Time and time again, you see that Peterson is deeply conservative and will not talk about undermining hierarchies, because he believes that those hierarchies are merited and built by men, who would not be there unless they deserved to be. Therefore their place cannot be questioned or assailed.

Same thing happens (not always as bad) in any "shared" or unpaid for property.... they HAVE TO DEFEND it... nominating a leader to negotiate & a hierarchy of buddies to protect. The true test is if one learns from the mistakes brought about by thier flaws. To learn, and truely be sorry for one's mistakes is shown in thier deeds, not thier words. A person who is truely repentant will take positive actions to do thier best to not repeat the mistake(s). The unrepentant that says they are sorry will repeat the "mistake" with regularity.

I love the man but I don't understand why he speaks so much about his own health . Yes his dear wife and daughter have suffered heath problems very much but talking about his health problems so so often seems strange to me . Unless I've mistaken your meaning, you come off as very judgmental when all humans deal with deep-seated issues and deal with them in their own way. Some people medicate and some do it in their own way. But meth is not part of this situation. And I'm also not sure that you understand what sleep apnea consists of. It's a breathing complication that manifests during sleep, usually due to muscle complications. It's not something that requires uppers to stay awake while suffering from. I've had multiple relatives with it and they never required any uppers. Jordan is a college professor and public speaker. He is used to talking alot and also to having to explain ideas in-depth to defend himself from uneducated people attacking him. Just because he talks alot and is obviously going through multiple hardships doesn't mean someone is on meth.. You are making a lot of assumptions about a person whose mind and hardships you can't even claim to know

@@umwha I'm a Libertarian atheist. In my opinion, he straddles the edge between libertarian and conservative. He is towards the individualistic end of the individualism vs collectivism spectrum. He emphasizes individual responsibility instead of collective action. He says that he chooses to "live as though there is a God."

@@BobBob-bh4qd he's stated multiple times in multiple interviews that his stance on bill C16 has little to do with trans people, which he affords the same respect as everyone else, and everything to do with the legal compulsion of speech which is unprecedented in western democracies. when asked if he misgenders trans people he replied that he addresses people with whatever pronoun seems to match their expression and if respectfully asked to do differently would comply. I'm not going to take time out of my day to find you a source to cure you of your own assumption. Why don't you give me a source to add credibility to your implicit claim that he's unsympathetic towards trans people which is as baseless as it is ridiculous. Start questioning the ridiculous headlines you must be getting your information from, they are never forthright.

n we can certainly learn to care for one another more if we would care more about the planet first seeing how we haven't elsewhere to go..but sadly while technology gives us the means to accomplish this it just as equally overcomplicates things and gives rise to destructive behaviors to keep its system erect. one could say we cant take care of one another without accepting that for every person that wants to do something positive there will always b someone to do the opposite to ruin it for us all. bernie madoff destroyed thousands of lives, hitler murdered 6 million jews. the list of bad shit that humans have done through the ages is so lengthy and immense that it makes all the good things seem minute by comparison and while it doesn't and likely never will eliminate an eagerness to heal the planet before we heal one another it still poses the greatest risk to the survival of the human species. n with the sun having a limited lifeline it makes one ask how would things by any different on any other planet? Our own existence is to blame for being vehicles that can channel both love and destruction, peace and war. n yet where would the police dept be without the violent criminals to keep cops employed? where would calmness and solitude be without chaos and anarchy? people will tell you that there is more good than bad on earth yet the news focuses on mainly the bad shit maybe cuz they understand the human psyche, that deep down we crave dread and chaos more than puppy dogs and ice cream. anyone who tells you otherwise is likely pulling the wool over your head that we will one day solve all of our problems. I totally agree. I feel as if watching video's of Jordan he really has changed (physically and mentally) over the last few years. Some are quite obvious and some more subtle.
