Much more of this shit in the states. Our own soldiers will do the same. They will up hold their oath. And we have tons of domestic enemies in the government.. go get them boys!! Death to tyrants
To be fair, that is one of her nicknames. Iirc she got that nickname after she accidentally rammed a destroyer in the mid 50s and received the bow from her incomplete sister ship the Kentucky
"Did someone say _GOBLINS?"_ "Uh... No? We said 'Russians'." "Oh! _THOSE._ ...Might as well be goblins. Say, if you see any. _Give me a call. I'll deal with it."_
HOW TO INCREASE THE US DEFENCE BUDGET One ship for russia's navy Two ship for the black sea Three ship for russia and wisconsin can go play with n. korea
USS New Jersey: "Yo sis the Reds are talking shit again!" USS Wisconsin: *Excitedly foaming at the mouth.* Russia: "HOW DOES YOUR SHIP HAVE RABIES!" USA: "Don't worry about it."
Hmm... If you take a minute to think about it, I think Congress would agree to send the battleship. Add a few AA destroyers with it, and that would be mortifying for any coastal forces. Artillery rounds are way cheaper than missiles.
Just imagine how it would feel to be a corvette being hunted be a battleship. Captain, we just told 3 Zircon's. Load forward turrets we are going hunting. Full speed, ahead.
Some say that there is still a room in the bottom of the Pentagon, specially prepared with unholy unguents, ritual knives, and a herd of goats for that exact purpose.
@@stealthyezio1273 I thought there were working on the Montanas and those got scrapped long ago. *goes looking for some info* Looking at the last few BB classes in the USN, there were 2 North Carolinas (BB-55 USS North Carolina and BB-56 USS Washington, yes, that Washington if you've ever heard of Admiral William "Ching" Lee,) 4 South Dakotas (BB-57 USS South Dakota, BB-58 USS Indiana, BB-59 USS Massachusetts, and BB-60 USS Alabama,) and 4 Iowas (BB-61 USS Iowa, BB-62 USS New Jersey, BB-63 USS Wisconsin, and BB-64 USS Missouri) The Montana class was planned to be the successor and BB-65 USS Illinois and BB-66 USS Kentucky were both laid down before being canceled in 1945 and 1958 before both were scrapped in 1958-1959. What I'm a little confused on is whether Wikipedia is right and they were Iowas or whether what I heard from someone who should know is right and they were Montanas. I guess it hardly matters since those hulls are long gone by now anyway.
If you bring Big Whiskey. You know damn well EVERYONE else will want USS Texas, IOWA, and the other 6 IOWA class battleships back in action too... Actually, I will laugh so hard I'll become light headed seeing our enemies underestimating the power of the Battleships. You know damn well any of those original veterans crew is jumping out of their seats itching to show everyone AMERICAN Dream! Imagine the headlines. "70+ year old ships just ended the war just by showing up" Second headline: "The PTSD rate of old folks has Quintupled! America is at fault!" I'd laugh the entire time reading those newspapers 😂
Having lived Near The Wisconsin for several years and toured her..She can be put back in action very quickly if they want her.. They have kept her up and done some upgrades over the years..There are large sections of the ship you can't tour because if this.
Pretty sure every Iowa-class has areas you can’t tour because of recent upgrades, with maybe USS Missouri being the only exception. I mean, the last time those behemoths fired on hostile targets was only around 25 years ago in the early ‘90s, and most of the stuff we use currently is upgraded stuff from then. Heck, I think the only major stuff we have currently, that we didn’t have in some form or another in the early ‘90s, is the F-22 and F-35, and those are both aircraft.
I'm pretty sure it's because of the safety issues for tourists and not because of any upgrades. The u.s navy bringing back WW2 era battleships to serve in modern combat is quite frankly absurd.
@nil981 it served in the Gulf War..its not terribly far behind tech wise..it was already upgraded with cruise missles..now some of the others like the TX would be a massive undertaking..upgrading the Wisconsin would merely be an electronics and computer upgrade.
Honestly they need to make some updated battleships, it would be cheaper than refurbishing the museum fleet, plus those ships used outdated tech for their powerplant. Outdated, fuel guzzling steam boilers. Powerful, don't get me wrong, but something new could be equipped with a decentralized power grid, making it tougher to kill, not that the museum ships ever took such a hit. And lets not forget they all also used technological components that cannot be easily acquired and must be specially manufactured, nevermind there aren't many people left who had functional knowledge of most of the equipment on those ships. A lot simpler and a lot cheaper to just build a new one. If they do though, they should make sure the saillers retain the ability to do component level repairs, because having to send it to the manufacturer is just messed up when you're in the middle of the ocean without mission critical equipment.
Conveniently, the US Navy drew up plans to make another battleship class called the Montana class (basically the Iowas but bigger and with an extra turret on the rear) back during WW2 but canceled it due to carriers being able to attack anything from way farther. Let’s find those old plans, and edit them a bit so we can make the Montana class but with modern just about everything
This channel is so much better then HLC and was around first but gets no where near the views. I can't imagine a dude stealing your idea and then getting more popular then the original and selling merch based off someone else's ideas. Wild world
