Great video as per usual Dan! I always enjoy the videos when you get your dad and the guys out, even the new guy. Beautiful glass Mike! Glad you all had a great day out. Cheers all!
glad you and dad with friends are together. my dad and i both lost sons and brought us closer. we both enjoyed making woodworking our hobbies. his death broke my heart. Make sure each of you has a will!
That’s what I figured and loved how he didn’t say bowl ( then I figured he is in Canada maybe ha) I’m in Massachusetts so legal here as well . That’s where y respect was earned because even though he doesn’t smoke but knew what it was and still put that awesome close up of it . It’s not an evil herb . Still a stigma but from the looks of all the different kind of people at dispensary here in mass that stigma will fade soon awesome to hear from both of you made my day
I always say that being born in B.C is better then winning the lottery, beautiful places to explore in any directions you travel and beautiful people to meet along the way. Thanks again for sharing another AUtiful day on the river.
Hi Dan the fellow British Columbia resident I have been near most of your claims and even lived very close your most recent one on the Pristine Similkameen, I had three and a half acres Riverfront all black sand, never been panned, I have always wondered, and would love to go on one of your excursions but now unfortunately I'm sure they're not wheelchair accessible so I enjoy living vicariously watching you thank you.:-)
I want to prospect that river system one day! I've seen some beautiful course gold come out of there. When I lived in Alaska I did a moose hunt out in that area and loved it! I appreciate you're videos I've just gotten heavy into mining. Been building my own highbankers for a few weeks now got my first claim gonna hit it hard after hunting seasob
Dan,why do you not use a three bin systen .two smaller bind to catch your runoff behind your high banker and they fit into a much larger bigger bin.the small bins ,one ate a time sit inside the bigger one and catch the water and dirt that gets processed.afther a bin is full or almost full of dirt t you take it out of the large bin.the large bin catches the water so after you get a certain amount of water in both bins and the high banker you just pull water out of the high banker.the bin full of dirt you can toss aside and keep on going instead of just 5 minute runs
Im thinking of buying this unit with the moss instead of the matts. Im very new to this but see how it could really help. I like metal detecting too and need to get better. Thanks Sir, Jonesy
In my opinion, British Columbia is the second most beautiful province in Canada. New Brunswick if first (SORRY!). ;) I have not been back to BC in over 35 years. My wife and I are hoping in a few years to spend a few years exploring Canada. I hope I get to meet you and come out to one of your claims while there. Wife will be busy taking photo's of the mountains! She's never been and is in for some beautiful scenery!
It's funny muddy waters great for fish and other river life because of all the nutrients being moved about from years ago.it's a totally different matter throwing heavy metal and poisonous things in with separation ponds bursting and seeping into them.
You should be abe to get some large knobs with the same threading as the wing nuts. They are much easier to handle and less likely to be lost (especially if you paint them yellow or orange).
I bet all that moss on the tops of the stones Will be loaded.it wouldn't take long to find the line testing the moss, then dig deeper on the line.moss is the miners best friend remember😉🍝🐶
Well I learned something today that surprised me. For however long it is I've been watching your videos I was sure you were talking about plaster gold, now I find it's actually placer! I always did wonder why it was called plaster...
Can you do a video on what you do when youre separating the gold from your black sands snuffer bottle and black sands table..etc) cool stuff. Nice scenery, btw
WOW, I live In Ontario, so there is not much in terms of rich, geography, or Rich precious minerals, but there are some areas with nice finds. I want to go on a tour with you and your wife, I would pay of course. Just cause I am a woman so I’m sure it would be fun to hang with your wife, I do not know anyone who loves rocks more than me except you guys.
Some silt fencing around the small pond would add run time? , seems like the water feed pipe could be given a better angle entry, more pressure and fuel efficient? 👍🏻
@@Danhurd I wonder if you became a sovereign man of the land in Canada would you need to buy claims off of a defacto government 😉 I would be hard sold on recirculating water in such a small pond, the big guys like clean water for a reason? Thanks for the reply and interesting videos
Great video cant wait to come up and do some prospecting this coming summer! Maybe we can meet up and do a colab! Hope to see you down at Cape disappointment someday!
@@Danhurd winter is the best time the hit the beach I don't recommend summer because you have to do way more work to get to the Good Sands we have a few more weeks of hitting the rivers and then my mining partner and I are going to start hitting up the beach! Check out my channel one am I first videos is s mining down at Cape Disappointment and you can see my setup!
I like the way you think, only one thing...Not just a sunny day, how about any day! Funny how people will talk openly about alcohol, but mention cannabis and...

Great video! I love how you get to be out there with your dad and everyone is laughing and having fun. You just can't put a price on that. The Gold is just a bonus even if it's a little rusty looking! Lol
Well Helloo! This is quickly becoming one of my favourite channels! I know nothing about gold, panning, prospecting or any of it but I'm really enjoying the vids and learning all about it. I came across this channel after watching a random gold smelting vid that looked interesting, ended up here and stayed a while! Well no need to hope, you did earn my subscription! Looking forward to watching all the older vids now.
That's how I first got into panning/prospecting. I was bored and watched a few vids on youtube and started to get curious about if there was any gold in my area (southeast Indiana)and what literature I could find said there was small amount of placer deposits but everyone I asked said it was far too little to ever really make any money at all at it. We have exposed limestone bedrock virtually everywhere in my county and the last glaciation stopped at our northern county line so I thought there should b a good amount here I played around with panning once a month or so for a couple years and found flakes and flour gold in minute quantities but then a couple months ago I planned at a creek and found an 11 gram nugget and a 4 gram nugget. I guess there is more here than people know....
Dude, that's literally what happened to me. Started with smelting videos and ending up here. Be careful tho, if you continue watching, I guarantee you'll find yourself standing in a creek sifting dirt with the gold pan you just bought.
An awesome wonderful marvelous day. Love how you honor Mother when she gifts you part of herself. The rules make sense, leave no trace and no trash in her waters. If i could be a sponsor i would but no matter, i will always watch your content as i feel you and your friends are kindred spirits. Peace.
I love your videos both for the mining education and the gorgeous scenery. I dream of having a hobby or second job that would take me daily into such wonderful country.. You are blessed to be in such a tremendous environment! Enjoy!
AWESOME video Dan once again just love how u bring ur dad with you doing this sort of thing and I wish I lived in BC I am in Ontario wasaga beach NO gold around here and that is a AWESOME bowl that Mike made look really awesome
Mike Astral Ill have to keep an eye out for some of your work. Do you have a website or anything like that where I could check out some of your glass ? I would love to have a pipe with gold in it .👍
Dan I really enjoy your videos, thank you! I do want to comment on one thing you said: dang RULES, I agree but one thing I’ve observed is that you follow them to the letter no matter how ludicrous and I’m impressed! You’re a great example to others!
Dan, I'm a new subscriber. I enjoy the videos. They have started me down the read of gold prospecting seems l;like a good new hobby. I live in Edmonton Alberta firt trip will be Prospectors point in Devon. Any Tips? I wanted your opinion on the "Gold Rush Nugget Bucket" I am thinking of buying one to start my adventure off with.
The rusty Gold indicating there's a iron/gold deposit just north of Boston Bar ... which wouldn't be to surprising, considering several of the big mines in the BC interior are predominately copper/iron/gold deposits.
I would really hate to be there in that horrible place find all that horrible gold!!! Gold it's to heavy to be carrying it anywhere!!! What you need is a drone to be Carrying it all out for you!!!👍😉😂😂😂😂
It is great to share what you love to do with friends who love it to....By the way I love your view and thank you so very much for taking this old lady long.. Have a wonderfully blessed day
The gold plus the scenery plus you and yours make a great escape for me , I'm no longer able to get out of my house anymore or not I escape my 4 walls ,watching you thank you for the trips.
Love watching your videos! I can't get out and climb around on the rivers panning like I used to so I live vicariously through your adventures- thank you for sharing your trips !
