Unfortunately for Ironwood, this play of his that you're suggesting may prove to be the downfall of both him and the whole of Atlas/Mantle. Winter will practically be signing her death warrant if she takes the Winter Maiden's powers. Both Winter _and_ Neo will be in serious danger of death if they get the power before Cinder, since neither of them can stand up to The Black Queen, who is presently the third most powerful being on Remnant. With or without the Maiden powers, neither Winter nor Neo can hope to defeat Cinder in a fight. If/when Cinder does add the Winter Maiden's powers to her growing arsenal, she will not only secure her place as the second most powerful being on Remnant, but gain access to the Vault of the Winter Maiden, which will allow her to claim the Staff of Creation for her own. Once that happens, she will potentially cause the deaths of countless individuals by setting Atlas on a crash-course with Mantle, since the Relic is the only thing keeping Atlas high in the sky. If events do play out like this, Cinder will have virtually single-handedly taken down an entire kingdom - the second out of four that she's managed to do so to, since being the architect of the Fall of Beacon.

To be quite honest, Watts may be in more danger of death than Ironwood. This battle could go either way.

Whether that time will be now with Ironwood or later on will be decided by the doctor's own skills. Will he be strong and smart enough to get the better of Ironwood, or will he be overcome?

Also, whilst it's true that Cinder was the mastermind behind the Fall of Beacon and the one who gave Roman and Neo their orders, the blame for Torchwick's death does not rest solely on her shoulders. Firstly, Torchwick himself was to blame, as despite having knowledge of the Grimm's behaviour, he still made the grave mistake of spewing out negativity in his rampage on Ruby, which ultimately resulted in his own death. In this way, Torchwick had a hand in essentially killing himself. Secondly, Cinder was not wrong, Ruby Rose is _very much_ a contributor to Roman's demise, as it was Ruby who knocked Neo out of the fight on top of the Atlas command ship and riled up Roman to the point of him unwittingly bringing about his own death with his own negativity. Cinder NOT be lying; Ruby is just as much to blame as the rest of them, if not more so. And lastly, although she herself does not see it, the other person that takes an equal share of the blame for Roman Torchwick's death in fact none other than Neo herself. After all, it was Neo who allowed herself to be defeated by a weaker and less-skilled opponent like Ruby; either Neo was overconfident or just not fast enough, as she was able to be overcome by Ruby's ingenuity and rendered herself helplessly floating away and unable to defend Roman. Torchwick's death is as much on Neo as it is on Cinder and Roman himself, if not more so. If Neo had not allowed herself to be defeated so quickly and easily, and had remained there with Roman, she may have been able to defend Roman from the incoming Grimm, or if she hadn't been knocked away and she and Torchwick were still whaling on the girl, Roman would never have any reason to be angry and the Griffon wouldn't have come to devour him in the first place. Cinder may be the one-eyed one here, but right now Neo is blind compared to her.

Well, you have to remember last episode before she left to help Mantle, Oscar decided he was gonna tell Ironwood the truth about Salem. There was a good chance that she thought it would put him off or make him more paranoid about how his plan may fail, especially when she's seen what the truth can do to people (Lionheart sided with Salem, Qrow lost his faith and became a full time alcoholic etc.). So the fact that Ironwood now knows this information, and kept to the plan of telling everyone instead of flipping his lid probably was a shock to her.

This guy gets it. I'm sure Robyn had reservations about using her semblance in a disingenuous way but it makes sense, to say nothing of how it worked perfectly to lure both Watts and Tyrian out of hiding and take them off the board. Of course, that was before finding out about Cinder. I don't think they'd have made the same gambit if they knew someone much, much more dangerous was still in play and so close to home.

​@@SeanCC Indeed. None of the heroes _or_ villains have any idea that Cinder is here in Atlas with Neo, planning to very soon claim _both_ Relics as well as the Winter Maiden's powers for herself. The question must be asked: Will the Black Queen Cinder lay waste to yet another Kingdom, as she did with Vale?
