Full build of Rye Field Model Sd.Kfz. 181 Pz.kpfw.VI Ausf. E Tiger I Middle Production Full Interior 1:35 (RM-5010). The video provide a detailed step by step guide as well as in depth hints and tips which I think will be proved useful to people who want to build this kit.
This is the second video which include the full construction, paint and weathering of the hull interior including engine, gearbox, ammunition and driver's/radio operator compartments.
I hope you like it. Enjoy!!!

Very nice. You've done a great job of painting and weathering that interior. I've just finished the Takom King Tiger with interior - it definitely feels good to get to the stage you're at.

Thanks man. You should definitely need to build one of these. The amount of detail is phenomenal and the final result very rewarding. At the same time everything fit together the way they suppose. However equip yourself with patience. I am building mine from November and still have like a month to finish it. I will check your channel.

Thank you for your kind words but I think you overexaggerate. I feel like just ok modeller especially compared to other RU-vid modellers (like Nightshift or Plasmo). All it takes is time and energy, valuable things that money cannot buy unfortunately. I struggle to find both the last months but hopefully will get better :)

In the latter part of the war, the Germans started to manufacture steel cartridge cases because they ran out of brass. These cases were lacquered a sort of dark green semi matt colour.I don’t recall the stencil colour as it had rotted off the fired examples I found in the 1970s.

Very very hard! Sorry it was impossible to film this part and I do not 100% remember the process. Just take your time and apply very sparse super glue. Also to be honest at the end, all the PE at the bottom of the hull were barelly visible.

I'm wondering about the accuracy of armor thickness. 25mm of armor is only .7mm at 1/35th scale. This is one area where scale models truely have a hard time being truely scale. On a model car for instance the sheet metal if the actual car is .75mm the model if to scale at 1/24th would be .03 mm or .001 thick. The smaller the scale the worse it gets. The form of modeling which actually comes the closest to scale thickness is card or paper.
@GeorgeModellingforBeginners
@GeorgeModellingforBeginners 2 года назад
Totally agree with you. The main issue is, as you highlighted, the armour thickness. A King tiger for example would be quite easy to replicate the armour thickness while a Panzer 1 almost impossible as the thickness of the required plastic cannot hold the model. I saw some accurate 1:35 kits in terms of armour thickness but again not for every area (turret roof for example).
@mpetersen6
@mpetersen6 2 года назад
@@GeorgeModellingforBeginners A Panzer would probably be possible in styrene if built from sheet stock in 1/35th*. Using .010", and .015". Possibly even .005". Certainly with metal shim stock. Not easy I imagine. Beyond me I know that. In terms of what is possible in paper models take a look at the prototypes on the Halinski web site. Theres a Sherman Firefly and a JU 88. The JU 88 has folding landing gear. Then theres the one guy who has spent years build a 777 out of Manila folders. Working flaps. The engine reverses move. And then theres the 1/96th Scale Crawler from the Apollo Program from MicroArtWork.com. If the builder goes whole hog the parts count is somewhere North of 14,000. He has a free download on the website for the swing arm that mated up with the Command Module. The instructions for the kit are in Adobe where you can rotate the assembly in 3 dimensions and zoom in. Something every high quality kit maker could learn from. www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.halinski.com.pl/indexgb.php&ved=2ahUKEwjc7cmVkYDzAhVcAp0JHdmxAPwQFnoECAsQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1q9J2XTGBlMCl-UY706-lJ www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.lucaiaconistewart.com/model-777&ved=2ahUKEwi28r_OkYDzAhVGBs0KHagiAuAQFnoECAYQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1e4Ra1dWg6SRP2itUAkClW www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.microartwork.com/Products/prodindex.htm&ved=2ahUKEwiN8rHhkoDzAhWLXc0KHV4cAUIQFnoECAgQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1RI1nyenklvsuclR6gUb1N.

@GeorgeModellingforBeginners

The kit costed me £40 but I got it second hand (like new). The tools I recommend are just the standard ones that you need to assemble any plastic model kit: liquid cement, a hobby knife, sanding stick, a tweezer, some clamps and a masking tape. I hope I did not forgot anything important.

Wait.. Want this model with movable suspension and track links? Why not kept it with movable suspension? I ordered this kit, but I think I might do it work movable suspension. What made you NOT do that?
@GeorgeModellingforBeginners
@GeorgeModellingforBeginners 3 года назад
Good question. I was quite worried that the movable parts might fall apart along the build. The glued sections are quite deep into the hall and if something snapped, it will be a nightmare to fix it. Saying that, I really enjoyed the RFM Sherman with both workable tracks and suspensions. However in the case of Sherman, the assembled movable parts are far more robust than the Tiger.
