Wow, you handled this well with how much money was spent. I'm having the same issue and this is so frustrating that the factory tuning was so terrible the only fix is to re-flash it. A $20k+ machine and they couldn't get the factory tuning right? Complete lack of real world testing. I will never buy another Polaris again.
Currently going through this same situation.. Put a new turbo pressure switch on it that was recommended from my local dealer and it seemed to have just made it worse.. Started researching and found out this is a known problem. I take it you would recommend getting it tuned before throwing hundreds - thousands of dollars away towards engine and turbo work? TIA
Just pulled that code on my 2020 pro today. First time ever seeing the engine light on this one. Had it since new. 3,800 hard trail miles. Never blown a belt. I'll look at it this week, might need your help!
@@dom_offroad OK cool, it's funny because shortly before I noticed the engine light on I noticed I could hear the pssst pssst more coming from the blow off valve when I hit the throttle and let off. This was the second day in a row in major snow, no thaw in the shop last night like usual. I'll look at it and keep you posted. Thanks for your time! Subscribed!
All hoses look good. I pulled them all, charge tube too. New stock bov going in for $35 in stock at dealer. Ordered AA stage 3 kit. Thanks for your time!
Is the overboost code present on these machines even if only turned on ignition and haven't started the machine? That's the problem I'm having, makes no sense since there isnt any boost if it isnt running so Im under the impression I have a bad sensor or wiring issue.. think a tune fix the issue? Thanks
thanks I have had the same problem. a few years ago I changed the waist gate and it fixed it. but now its doing it again .I hould like to know more. any help would be great.thanks John W
Were you getting the code only after pulls or was it there with just ignition on? Please share the solution 😅 mine has the code as soon as I turn ignition on which has me thinking (I could be wrong) is a sensor or bad wire since there is zero boost when not running🤷♂️
The tune fixed it. The machine was bone stock and was having issues with the code. As soon as I put the Dynojet tune on it the check engine light never came back on and I didn’t have any issues
My engine light comes on and off , when I floor it and pass 60mph it will turn on and loose power . Keep riding it and it won’t go higher than 6k RPM .
Damn did your buddy that "specializes in Polaris " atleast spit on it before he rammed it home ? Definitely not low compression or a bad turbo 🤣 what the hell I've never heard of such you ruled out the engine and turbo as the problem by loading the parts cannon the problem was still present meaning those were not faulty these are very sensitive electrical and ECU systems on the rzrs the programmer dials back that sensitivity to prevent a limp mode condition like you had you could've just tuned it out of the gate and been fine 🤣🤣🤣
Must have literally missed the entire video try watching it again bud. The machine had low compression first of all. The previous owner beat the hell out of it and sunk it. Second of all, the turbo was basically eating itself and throwing metal shavings into the motor due to all the shaft play. Yes, after I got it back the code was still there but due to my guy knowing what the hell he was doing, it saved me from having to do an entire rebuild of the entire engine instead of just the top end and a new turbo. Next time know what you’re talking about before you comment and maybe watch and listen to the entire video 👍🏽
