I felt this video was worth sharing because Martin and I were so goofy and fun the entire time. And he managed to get the Norseman’s unscrewed!

To me its wonderful that you can have fun and laugh at your self while still getting your work done. Bees will find any place they can to help protect the hive and queen, most often where we don;t want them. Take care Nicole, be safe and toil on.

Just my two cents as a beekeeper, Have the beekeeper came now and get the bees out, it will be easier on the bees and you, once they start building a home it will be very messy to get them out. Of course I am realizing this is not in real time…..
@tjack49er
@tjack49er 5 месяцев назад
I concur entirely, and I’ll add the fact that allowing the bees to build a comb and establish a nest will lead you to quite a job in cleaning it out, and it’s quite possible that they will build the nest in an inaccessible area requiring disassembly of your interior you may not want to do.

Taijin was loving life on the scooter. As long as he with you life is good. You and Martin are fun together. By the time of the big float you will know everything about the boat from stem to stern. We are all very proud of you, Nicole.

WD40 is a water displacer. They do make a version now that can break up rust. Best bet is PB Blaster if you can get it.

The threaded rod that fitting was on was probably slightly bent, that's why it didn't want to move. It's not a bad idea, imo, to use swaged ends at the top and only use mechanicals on the bottom. Top swages almost never fail because water doesn't get in them and cause rust like it does on the bottom. But they allow a lot more flexibility where it's needed at the joint.

You should have put a plug in the through hull to stop the bugs from getting in. Gerard.

When your rigging is that jammed you have to crank it so hard just to seperate it, take the hint, it is showing results of a long good life of use and thus many hidden stress points. Sometimes the best thing is to simply replace than try to repair both ease and money wise. Time for dyneema?
@SailingArtha
@SailingArtha 5 месяцев назад
Norseman’s are designed to be re-used. I think it had more to do with the locktite than anything else 😊 I’m doing dyneema for my lifelines but I’m going with 1x19 and new wedges for my rigging.

When you’re using 2 wrenches like that to undo tight bolts or nuts only have them about 30 degrees apart with the one your not pushing flat on the ground and the other one that you are pushing up about 30 degrees and then push that to the ground
