Seen vids like this, make me want to get my Cavalier Turbo back on the road, to re live my youth, as I've got to used to driving my range rover...hopefully one day soon she'll see the road again.
What a stunning Cavalier, credit to the owner! I absolutely loved my H Reg SRi back in the day! Had it mildly tuned with a Bill Blydenstein head, chipped, air filter etc and the thing use to keep up wih my mates red top Calibra!
Didn’t release what a safety conscious audience you had Adam 🤣 Give the man a break looks like he had a stiff neck to bd fair. Love everything about the Cav, surely squeeze a bit more from that turbo though after a full build.
Surprised when he said 295hp, a stage one map alone on those engines with standard turbo gives 230 - and he didn't need a built bottom end as they're good for 450+ stock, totally over engineered, typical Saab! Boxes are chocolate though.
I use to speak to kirk when I had my 5mk3 astra Gsi b204 500bhp and also when I was building my cav.. Top bloke and fellow trucker.. This cav is absolutely mint.. Definitely more than 300bhp
Nice motor! Love a Cavalier and Calibra, used to have a calibra red full black leather heated recaro, added EVO R alloys and a Janspeed sports exhaust, was a '94 pre-eco tec Red Top 2.016v(so was much faster than the newer ones) that and that was my second car back in 97 i was only 21, was a bloody lovely car and a big step up from my little 1.2 Corsa I cut my teeth on for my first car commuting into London every day! Only had Calibra 18months and regretted selling it ever since! The Vauxhall's don't get enough recognition/respect imo, they were great cars in their day compared to the competition at the time and proper fast for what they were whichever one you had as standard would alwats trounce tbe equivalent Ford or other competitors back then. Great video mate! 👍
Lovely. I miss the 90s car days every single day, had 75 cars now and not one modern one I've had (a45s, m3s m5s, rs6 etc) compares in any form to any of my old motors (lancers, scoobs, sierra sapphire cossie, etc) for fun factor. Just the stench of fuel in the cossie cabin when on full chat is now an incredible but long distant memory!!!
All in the details, Alpine....oh no its a pioneer! head unit , ellesse trackie top....oh yeah and no belt...but there better be some 6x9s in that shelf! Nice car all the same i had the hatchback and then a Calibra which i sold for pennies many moons ago.
Great car i had back in 95 the opel version of the mk3 cavalier here in Ireland it was a 1991 opel vectra GT same engine 2.0i 8v great car..... but it was rusty even back then!!! 😂
I love the Sri 16v Redtop they were lovely cars saloon’s and hatchback’s lovely sound on them and lovely looking the Cav 2.0 8v was ok but not in the redtops league nice video though lads 👍🏻
Good vid, and Nice car fella. I like the colour. N plus hopefully one day, I wanna get my Audi up to 300bph. And I can see points coming his way for no seat belt, you know what people are like for moaning to RU-vid police
Now then Adam. I tracked my old cav mk3 Sri rep down. This is exactly what the new owner has done to my old cav. Not been done good at all. Still looks mint but the engine bay is a shambles. Nothings been done right. Just thrown in and a right mess. I’ve been trying to track it down for years. All I can say is I’ll not be buying it back after seeing that mess
Every car had all options wiring built in back then. I made looms for trains, plains and automobiles and it was because it was cheaper to buy and fit one type, only suckers bought higher spec options at POS
