Yes, beautiful Canada that we came to 50 something years ago as a newly married couple. We came for a safer life because the crime in our homeland was escalating and a family member at our wedding advised us to start looking into applying for landed immigrant status for Canada. A year later we were accepted. We went through many interviews and medicals to reach that point and here we are now, once again, with safety concerns, almost back to square one. Boy, am I ever mentally exhausted and concerned about what decisions to make for the safety of my family because I foresee big trouble on the horizon. If you are awake and willing to face reality you can't help but foresee trouble ahead. Take care Toni, and thanks for discussing reality.

It's a shame all the violence. So much hate. These days are so different than when I was younger. I came at the tail end of the baby boomers. Praying to God and trusting is good advice. Thank you and stay safe. ❤

Don’t let things get to you so much. Just stay focused and do what’s necessary. I make a to of do list every day and try hard to get it done. Sometimes I don’t succeed on bad weather days but then I switch gears and focus inside. Security can be an issue but when I am in Scandinavia with my fmiky I feel safer there than I do in the US. Here people seem to be going nuts with hate and discontent. I am always aware of my surroundings and never take risks. Be well and safe.

If it helps.... know that -at least- you Aare NOT Alone in being alone. Sadly, there is a lot of us out here, too bad so scattered, we'd make a good community come SHTF. Anyway, the mental struggle is real, tho I've come to figure even alone ** with knowledge based reality, kills, Survivors mentality & all the prep work one can muster now while the getting is still good is worth more than most- literally more than most- could rub together collectively. , Keep On Keeping On, WE'LL be NEEDED, we'll find our place when it comes down to it. @@HerHomesteadSkills Toni, I think Im terrified more than worried. My health is so bad and though my (9 year) stockpile of preps should reassure me - it just reminds daily on what is coming. Perhaps across the Atlantic, you don't hear as much about food production collapse, the wars which are creeping closer, Being paralysed with fear is not helpful. I haven't watched TV in 5 years and I think I will take a break from YT (though I find your channel doesn't frighten me - you're like a friend). Ive still to finish sorting out my mother's estate after her death.

Amen Toni 🙏💕 I’m wearing my armor in God, every day, every night. Idk about Canada but I’ve heard from sources here that the “new comers” (that’s what Biden & his administration calls them) are being trained. Trained to turn on us & come after We the People. True or not? I choose to not take any chances. All I’m going to say is, we’ve been preparing. Praying so much more. But God.

I’m hearing those things in Canada, too. It’s pretty much illegal for us to defend ourselves, here, too. Criminals have more rights than the average citizen, here.

Hi Toni. Dave and I live in Chatham Ontario. This used to be a safe city. Now we have a lot of homeless . Its not as safe as it used to be. We invested in gard dogs, 2 bouviers . I can tell you I feel safe anyone comes around we know. Stay safe ❤

Seventeen years ago I was in the middle of a home invasion. I was at a friends house in the afternoon when two men came through her front door. Fortunately here in the US we have much more reasonable laws concerning personal weapons and the use thereof. I dissuaded them aggressively and they decided they had somewhere else to be. No one was injured and no police were notified. Unless there are dead and/or wounded the police are often kept out of such things here as they are not needed and only cause more trouble.

We are having lots of rain today and tomorrow too...my beans, arugala, mizuma, parsley..all sprouted...my store bought peppers of all kinds and tomatoes are doing great..still have seeding to do..., lettuce, beans, cucumbers, zucchini this week..still ..3 weeks ahead of last year..I also planted some black salsify for the roots, an old variety from Europe, grown for its root and used as potatoes..it took two week to sprout...need a deep soil as it grows about 1 foot or more long...it is a survival food, and also a perennial.. and camouflaged as a wild weed as the regular salsify that grows, also edible but the black apparently tastes better...The root keeps well through the fall n winter months..you can grow it in a wide deep pot too.., which I will do too...

Tony, I am so glad I live in a community in the middle of nowhere. I am Jewish and have felt at risk at times because of White Christian Nationlism. It even exists where I live in a town of 3400. I sort of fly under the radar and don’t make myself a target.

Christians and Jews alike do have targets on our backs. That’s another reason to recognize who the enemy is (and isn’t) and support each other.

This advice is good for anyone but especially for women..... Don't go anywhere alone if it can be helped. Don't go out at night shopping, getting gas or to the ATM Keep you nose out of your phone and pay attention to your surroundings Keep some kind of personal protection on you at all times and know how to use it. Do not open your door to anyone you dont know, ever. For heavens sake dont go running or to the gym alone.

So good to see you, Toni. We're of the same mindset on your subject matter today. The young man who was shot had walked over to some men to ask if they were about to tow his car, and who were actually thieves in the process of stealing the catalytic converter off his car. When he got closer to them, one of the thieves opened fire, shot, and killed the young man who was just trying find out why his car was being towed. Bless his Soul and bless the hearts of his loved ones. Take good care of yourself, Toni. God bless you and your loved ones.

Hi Toni - excellent advice. I was out I’m my big greenhouse today planting - it is now half done. Haven’t been able to get anywhere near the outside gardens as the rain we had a few days ago made everything soupy- maybe next week.

Rain, rain, rain. Not good for my tomatoes that are "in ground" vs. raised! You reminded me that I somehow forgot peas. My marigolds are up in seed starters. When we put in the new driveway, not only did I lose my boxwood hedge, I lost my lavender. I replanted but somehow can't find it in the back gardens. I started some from seed but they won't be germinated until June 13, fingers crossed. We enjoyed lettuce, radish, green onion and cheese sandwiches with a hot bowl of soup yesterday for lunch. Heavenly vs. store bought vegetables. Today is crafting, some sewing and 2 rhubarb loaves from a recipe I got from the newspaper a few years back. Tried an award winning strawberry rhubarb pie recipe with a store bought pastry. Forget that. I love your pastry recipe the most. Thanks Toni. Enjoy your day as best you can even though we've got a Wet one. If it settles down, we might head out to the nursery to see if my Sedums are in. I need 18 of the same color. It should be a quiet shopping day compared to the weekend. Take care and stay safe everyone.

I agree most of the problems are from insecure borders allowing criminals to pour into ours countries due to poor governance. Crime is becoming alarmingly rampant all over the world. Guns are not the issue, the evil in men’s hearts and minds (mental illness) are the real problems that we are facing. Here in the US, the states that have open carry rights have less gun violence than the states that ban them. The judicial system allows the criminals back out onto the streets which gets us no where. Be safe, remain aware and protect yourself by whatever means necessary.
