Parsi Sev or Sagan Nu Sev is a wonderful dish made with Vermicelli and eaten often for breakfast or sometimes as a dessert.
Ingredients For The Sev
1 Packet Roasted Vermicelli
2 - 3 Teaspoons Ghee
1-2 Cups of Sugar
10 Sliced Almonds
10 -12 Raisins
10-12 Chinronji
1 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
1 Teaspoon Nutmeg Powder ( optional )
2 Teaspoons Rose Water ( Optional )

Thanks Roxanne, great recipe. In spite of being careful with the addition of water, I think I made an error with the quantity. The result was very a slightly clumpy sev. Taste was exquisite, though. Next time I will be more careful. Keep up the good work.

Don't worry at all, most cooking is a bit of trial and error. It is a bit tricky some times but now when you make it next you'll know exactly what to do. I"m so glad you enjoyed this recipe :) thank you so much :)

Good luck ! Just keep cooking till it softens adding very little water at a time. Excess water makes it stodgy and clumpy

Very interesting... I am in love with your dinner Ware and crockery and the enamel Ware in your other videos .. It looks very Parisian chic... Could you some day do a video on your table Ware, crockery and enamel Ware...Where do you buy it from .. ? I find good quality enamel Ware very difficult to find in India...? Do you go antique hunting for crockery? If yes where to? Spill your secrets please.😊

Hahah thank you so much. I honestly would love to but the truth is all my crockery and cutlery is stuff that I have at home that my grandmother and great grandmother collected. I haven't really bought anything recent but I do plan to. Hopefully will have enough info one day to make a video 🙏

Try Moti Masala shop at grant road or tardeo, It should be fairly easily available at any kirana store. I know the government run Aapna Bazar shops also keep it.

The sugar quantity you have mentioned 1-2 cups......do you mean 1/2 cup or....

No I mean either 1 cup or 2 depending on how sweet you like it. For me I don't like my dessert too sweet so I find 1 cup more than enough but my family likes it sweeter so I've written 1- 2 cups
