Thanks for this easy recipe!👌 Would love to have/serve it with Salli! I have a few questions though: a) Can I reduce the greasiness by coating or painting the drumsticks in oil/ butter and then baking in the oven at 180deg for 12-16minutes using both upper and lower heating elements, turning it round after 9min and 12min? b) Can i add a bit of ground riceflour to the maida mixture to introduce a bit of crispness to the coating? Also, while marinating the chicken can I use mint and coriander paste? c) The Aatash Masalas are really good in imparting a different taste to the final product.. d) Can Farcha be made with boneless fish too?

Thank you for all the questions, I hope these help - a ) If you just brush the drunksticks with butter or oil and bake it then it is no longer a farcha. It's just baked chicken. You won't be able to bake that egg batter so while yes techincally you can do it, it just won't be chicken farcha anymore it will be regular baked chicken legs. b ) You can technically add anything you like to make a recipe your own. I'm a big believer in customising it to your liking but again it will no longer remain a traditional Parsi style chicken farcha. The coating is not meant to be crisp per say. It's more lacey and frilly because of the egg mixture but again you can add anything to make it your own. c ) Yes absolutely pls add Atash masalas. My mother does it all the time. The base marination can always be mixed up with ingredients or pastes you personally prefer. d ) Yes it can, will just be fish farcha. A lot of people do boneless chicken farcha I don't see why fish isn't possible. You will just have to keep an eye out and cook the fish a little faster so it doesn't over cook. Hope this helps !

When u say ‘flour’ which one? Maida? Or wheat flour

In this instance I've used maida but honestly any will do. Just need it for coating so that the egg mixture sticks on the chicken. If there's no flour it won't stay on and you won't get that lady crispy Farcha covering so use any doesn't matter
