The only thing I didn’t like about Eternal Sailor Moon was the fact that she no longer had her tiara. That to me was one of her signature moves, granted it didn’t destroy monsters like it used to in the first season. Otherwise, I loved it. She was beautiful.
@@mikaNmiyu Yeah, I know she's more powerful with it revealed. I said 'feels' because despite season 5 being my favorite season and the eternal upgrade in general being the most powerful, she comes off a little weak throughout the season unfortunately. It could be because her powers this season is just to heal and restore and when that failed (on galaxia) she's rendered powerless. That's was pretty weird tho because in the first 6 episodes to finish Queen Nehelenia arc when she used the eternal tiare it was shown to be have destructive power eliminating Nehelenia mirror minions. It also could be that she never defected any enemies without help. All this makes the eternal upgrade feels less powerful compared to supers. It's definitely how the show handled it because supers upgrade made her feel powerful. Unpopular opinion the eternal upgrade is my favorite lol just wish it felt more powerful throughout the season as it should have been.
They make a funny reference to it when she shouts "Moon Tiara Action" and shows a flying disc spinning towards the enemy, only for the monster to get hit in the face by a pizza, since she doesn't have her tiara anymore and that was what they where having for dinner.

Chibi moon be like “oh shit guess I’ve to transform alone again” 😂😂😂😂
Dear lord it is HIDEOUS. I hate it so so so incredibly much. The Super costume is way better; I prefer the one with the enormous bow-wings (Crisis Make Up one, where she use the Holy Grail to transform) over the one with the shorter back bow.
Because it would be cheap. They only just got their super transformation this late and there were very little reasons to upgrade them further considering what happened to all of them during the final battle of the season. I actually like how they handled it in the anime, it made Sailor Moon all the more special and that's how a protag should be. Why don't I see people complaining about the rest of the squad not getting their Princess forms animated?
Struggling but Surviving they die in their eternal forms in the manga as well.. I heard that the Anime diverged greatly from the story in the manga. Takeuchi wasn’t happy about it.
I don't mind the general design of her eternal form but there are specific parts that to me make the outfit look ugly and over designed without much visual cohesion (even without the wings). The plastic bulky looking wings and bubblegum shoulder pads. The first three outfits were iconic while the super outfit was really pretty.
I wish they'd use the cosmos outfit instead of eternal because it's a much better visual progression from her super form and in my opinion much nicer to look at. Also it creates a stronger power level connection between Neo Queen Serenity and Sailor Moon in terms of Hotaru's dream in the beginning of the season. I know it would be a big difference from the manga but I feel it would've been a good change since they scrapped the character anyway (which I was happy about due to feeling like a convenience using time travel no less). I would've kept the design and scrapped the eternal outfit too.
As always, I love all of Sailor Moon's outfits, but I always wondered why she could never fly with her wings? Could she actually fly with them or they were just there for decor, similar to Neo Queen Serenity's wings? I also still wonder what the sleeves were made of? Are they glass, transparent or what? I also realized what her skirt colors were for, the blue is one of her main colors, since that was her skirt color before. Red was the color of her bows, and the yellow I'm assuming represents her hair, or the color of the moon. It could've been because yellow was seen on her super form. Pink could've also represented rini in some case. But from what I'm seeing it does look like random colors put together, I also wondered when I first saw her, why were these colors chosen? I think blue, white, gold, maybe a hint of pink, light blues, silver, some of those colors might've worked better! But I still like the original out fit though :)
No hablo inglés pero entendí tu comentario, las alas que tienen es solo decoración y no cumple una función en particular pero me gusta sailor moon clásico
She can fly at end even without wings, she proves in the manga (not gonna spoil here) and in the old anime the sailor stars fly in the universe at really insane speed.
Some fact, all of this supposed to happen in the previous season, right before the final confrontation with queen Nehelenia and in fact Sailor Moon used her new found power to finish her off. This entire section was moved to the final season in the anime and served as a foreshadow for Galaxia coming, in the manga the two were simply unrelated
Okay, right after commenting, I realized something. What's a 9 years old video doing on everyone's recommendation? I see comments posted from days to weeks ago too. That's very recent.
I wish Sailor Moon was stronger on her own and didn't have to constantly merge powers with the other Sailors. For a concept of planetary powers of warriors, i feel like they should have received a greater range of attacks and powers.
If I remember correctly, at some point Luna or Artemis mentioned that due to reincarnation, they lose their original power and the crystal also no longer as powerful as before. The senshis’ power is just to awake her internal power kind of thing.
@@mikaNmiyu Yeah basically her "eternal power" is her true form said in both the Manga and Anime. So the Silver Crystal in it's "original state" is what Eternal Sailor Moon uses. But when she received it from Queen Serenity, most of it's power was gone and she had to reacquire the energy through *her friends* and *loved ones.*
Sailor Moon's final form (Eternal) is her true form. This is the form of what the Silver Crystal once was before she was reincarnated. When she gave up her life, she also gave up the power she once had and had to regain it back through constant battle, teamwork, and love. There is a rumor that the Holy Grail ie the chalice Sailor Moon uses to become Super Sailor Moon and then Eternal (Manga) belonged to *Princess Serenity* as she was one with the purest heart. This explains why when Sailor Moon uses it, she becomes both her Super and True Form. Because it belongs to her, it's her *long lost power.*
90s anime made her weak-1:45 how she couldn’t handle Eternal form at start. Sailor Moon is very powerful character in manga and Crystal, 90s anime made her weaker each season/arc.
Hey remember during the Sailor Moon R series whenever she transformed by saying 'Moon Crystal Power Make Up' remember when that transformation starts the wings were already there and remember at the end of the last episode of the Super S series when Usagi and Chibiusa were falling from the sky at dizzying heights that would have killed both of them if Pegasus hadn't arrived and spiritually slammed into both of them and saving they're lives by giving them wings and after that they both slowly landed on a bridge so inspite of you thinking they were tacky if it wasn't for those wings Usagi and Chibiusa would have been killed at the end of the Super S series.
I love how sailor moon questions what Saturn is saying. If I was Saturn, I would be like " BITCH i HAVE BEEN REBORN ON THIS EARTH LIKE 10 TIMES! DON'T ASK ME IF i KNOW WHAT i AM TALKING ABOUT! " XD
My biggest issue with the anime is not the outfits, it's the fact that they get powerups and there's no explanation as to how they just magically know the names of the attacks or incantations to make them happen.
@@ang3lk1sses It's both a *form* and *outfit.* The outfit comes part of the form. But she doesn't need the outfit but it's part of the Transformation and I believe the Outfit provides Defense Protection. Without it, she will just be Offensive with no Defense. Kinda like how she was at the end of Stars when she was Naked as Eternal Sailor Moon.
If the DiC production did anything right, it was the score (well, the voice actresses for the Inner Senshi were alright; their voices really matched the characters, but their performances were kinda stiff and awkward at times). Great, memorable music; the “Moon Crystal Power” transformation music will always hold a special place in my heart. However, I also sorta take issue with the idea of completely changing the score of an existing piece of media unless it’s something like a silent film.
OK the Eternal sailor moon is really cool, I think they could've done the wings a little bit better and the bubblegum pink shoulder pads, not my favourite but come on let's be real yellow skirts really I think it was just too much yellow with her hair I wish they would've made it similar to the normal colours blue red white or even done like a white outfit with like the rainbow colours to represent the scouts or just like sailor cosmos outfit am I right. I wonder if maybe since they're redoing the sailor Moon series if they're going to redo some of the outfits like redo the eternal sailor moon outfit maybe change the colour palette or something that would be cool
Well i don't think they would stray from the original design, but for the Eternal Sailor Moon outfit in Sailor Moon Eternal should make the shoulder puffs smaller but everything else is fine, in my opinion
I've just been thinking on how starlight honeymoon therapy kiss was an ofensive attack at first (as we see here) and then it just turned into a healing one for no reason other than weird plot decisions in the 5th season.
IKR? I'm disappointed that they didn't keep Moon Healing Escalation. I felt like that was Sailor Moon's signature move. I mean, how can Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss be introduced as an attack, then a healing move? Not to mention that the Eternal Tiare is a crappy looking magic wand. I really miss the Moon Stick.
From what I am guessing, Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss destroys "Evil energy" so when she used it on Nehelenia Mirror Clones, it obliterate it because it's made out of pure hatred and malice. She also used it on Nehelenia at full power and it purified all of the evil from her body. It's unknown if that send her back in time or *killed her* in a "Dream like sequence"...... With the Phages, since they were once Human. The attack just destroys their evil corrupted form and preserves the Human Form since it's not evil.
Seeing this episode of where the Sailor Senshi lend they're power to Sailor Moon for her to become Eternal Sailor Moon reminds me of the episodes of another anime called Ronin Warriors where Rowan,Sage,Cye and Kento give they're power to Ryo to use the Armor of the Inferno.
If only the animation for this scene wasn't so cheap!! The transformation and attack are beautifully animated, but for the rest of the scene you can tell they were rushing through it
@@shizukagozen777 I like that music, it's similar to the *sound effect* of Rainbow Moon Heart Ache "Da Da dada Da Da - Da Da dada Da Da" What I didn't like was Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss end sound effect! >...< The beginning however was magnificent (could'vebeenhoweternalsailormoonshouldvebeenwhentransforming) XD
Their bows in this scene are WAY TOO SMALL compared to the rest of the series, I hate continuity errors like that, whoever was the character designer for this episode got their bows all wrong! It bothers me so much, totally triggered.
They purposely made their bows smaller for animation time. This is why they made Super Sailor Moon and Super Sailor Chibi Moon bows small in comparison to the 3rd Season where her bow was *longer* and *lengthier.* In the 3rd Season, she didn't become Super Sailor Moon until Mid-way and it was only at the very end of the episode since it was a Double Transformation. So the Animators didn't have to worry about sketching so many scenes of Super Sailor Moon in comparison to the 4th Season and 5th Season. To *save time* and *management,* they made their bows smaller so it would be easier to animate and not time consuming to do each scene. Apparently, Eternal Sailor Moon and Super Sailor Moon of Sailor Moon S was the hardest to animate and draw and a lot of the Animators even quit mid way of the Final Season!
The story is from the manga though so if you don't want to watch the show, you should at least read the manga to know what the show's about. It's the same major events but different and has a very different tone.
There were never any differences to begin with. They simply operated separately, but it's not like they had something against each other for there to be "aren't exactly on the best terms"
They had a "misunderstanding" in Sailor Moon S due to them trying to kill Hotaru/Sailor Saturn. But after Sailor Moon S, they are completely loyal to their future Queen, Sailor Moon/Usagi/Serena. Also, they respect the Inners (as they always have because they put up a front as if the Inner aren't shit when they know they are) Sailor Uranus, and Neptune really do like them though. We see this in Stars where both of them showed up to Usagi's House for a Card Game with the Inners and Usagi/Serena. They enjoy them and see them as their own family!
I wouldn’t say bad terms they just have stronger powers then the inner senshi do and their technically older ( besides Hotaru/ Sailor Saturn ) in Sailor Moon S Neptune and Uranus priority was finding the talisman that’s why they were “ Awaken “ where as Sailor moon and the inner senshi were trying to figure out who the new enemy was and Chibiusa meeting Hotaru in the second half of the season I personally think Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon Sailor Stars is one of the best seasons out of them all both of those seasons had more of a mature feel to it
Naoko Takeuchi, at one of the events dedicated to this franchise, said that Mamoru receives strength from the Earth, and Galaxia mentioned that his star seed is the seed of this planet (in German version - star crystal), but since he is a man, a sailor soldier cannot be
