Awesome tour of many growing up areas of interest. Assumption Church (Dufferin Row), Maple Row a route to my fav childhood store at Champlain St, St Patrick's school ... nine years of trucking over City Line Hill, the ferry terminal for a family final move from Nova Scotia to my parents in your hood to Ottawa, ON. Thank you Les & Wendy I love, love, love your tours so rich 8n lovely commentaries. 🙂🤗🤗🤗🙂😘❤
Perhaps you don't have the history but it is obvious that you do love Saint John... that is what keeps me following your videos. The love and appreciation of the city is/will be your drawing card. 😊🤗😘
Mike here. I was searching videos of NB because it has been many years since living in the province. I was a wee lad at the time and it is interesting to see what I can recall many years later. Thanks for posting! Now I'm in beautiful Vancouver. Cheers!
Hi Mike. Thank you for watching our videos. Coming from the west coast ourselves, we think of Saint John very much like a mini Vancouver with a little bit of Quebec City sprinkled on top.
Just up from Seaside School used to be a school called Havelock School. I went there for two years in Grade 1. They tore down Havelock to make room for the new school.
Beautiful areas!! We ended up buying in the north end as there was not much left to buy back in late November. We live off Sandy Point Rd near Rockwood Park, so it's very quiet up here.
Your area is beautiful too. I think if I couldn't live on the west side I would want to live near the public gardens. And I think there's even fewer homes to choose from now than there were in November, so good for you that you got one in a nice spot.
Yes, spring, summer and autumn are so pretty here. Actually, so is early winter when the snow is fresh. When the sun is shining and the breeze comes in from the Bay, we couldn't be happier.
Hi! Your videos are a great thing for those looking at NB which my husband and I want to do (similar stories only we r from Massachusetts) we are interested in St John and Fredricton and really want to find a mini/mobile home and are looking to sell and use proceeds the same way. We have the added challenge of not being Canadian but are willing to put in the necessary work on that. Everything on hold from covid times. I am trying to find parks or realtors that could help us with that. We plan on a trip up after the borders open
Mini home parks are plentiful in the Saint John area, not sure about Fredericton but likely there too. First thing would be to decide which city you like better because you would not use the same realtor for both cities. In the meantime, search mls.ca for an idea of pricing. Good luck and thanks for watching.
The areas are mainly residential. There is a cafe/bar/restaurant at reversing falls which is a 15-20 minute walk from most parts of Fundy Heights/Lower West and there was a coffee shop/restaurant along with a butcher 10-15 minutes but not sure if it's still open. There are several restaurants within a 5 minute drive.
Hello, My girlfriend and I just rented an apartment in your area and we wondering if there is a way to contact you guys before we head out there in a week. If you have a fb page or anything please let me know. Email works as well thank you.
