True, way back in the chapters Genos said Garou "My master is beyond any hero you know." Garou isn't just some dumdum antagonist he deduces that Saitama is Genos' master. He only know Saitama by name, until when they fought.

For me saitama isn't really a hero... It may sound selfish because others would say that he has the responsibility to save others because he got strength to do it, but he's just your ordinary guy who just wants a peaceful neighborhood and just wants to chill around at the comfort of his home.

Finally, there is someone who understands the story plot on the manga now... See, actually, One Punch Man is more than just a manga for amazing action, but I am really glad they are bringing out the dark themes lurking in the OPM scenes. OPM is more than what we know actually. I just hope more people will understand the writer's creativity of the story. Anyways, I am so hyped for the next chapter. 😊

when Saitama catch Genos's core, and start remind his past with Genos, is equal to Reigen moment during press conference, ...Genos is the one who persistently barge into his life, keep calling him sensei, following him everywhere, doing house chores, pay rent money, and listen to whatever he said, and still thank Saitama despite Saitama doing almost nothing of Genos progress....it is deep enough to make him actually question about his own hero motivation, and then snaps knowing that Genos reminds him that, with his life

I think you don't understand. Most of heroes are jerk, but they're hero. Snek the snake martial artist he's a jerk but he always fight till everyone ok. Even amai mask doing hero stuff till the end.

How did it go in the webcomic? Is the manga in a no-way-back state of aligning the story again with the webcomic?

@@Arishulmr Blast was never fully revealed in the comic, and Garou did not reach the level of power he has now in the manga. I'm pretty sure the manga is going towards a much more different path as compared to the comic.

@@Arishulmr in the web comic the fight ended with Saitama at a table with gorou before he powered up to this hidden form. Saitama was gonna talk to him about his issues and why he wanted to be a "monster"

Genos probably isn't dead. Not in the regular human way.. but Garou still crossed the line.

@@genlaz1 oh for sure he’s not dead. If he is I would be more shocked. This is just the worst Genos has ever had it as we’ve seen multiple instances where he’s used his core to power an attack or was going to use his core to self detonate in a difficult battle. He’s always been “awake” or “functioning” in any instance he’s been beaten down kind of like Krillin throughout most of his losses in DBZ. This time though, from his core being ripped clean out of his chest, he’s probably completely “shut down”. What I think is going to happen is that Dr. Kuseno installed something of a backup power to keep his brain alive if the core was damaged/removed and ultimately he will survive the ordeal. The core itself isn’t damaged, maybe he could make use of Child Emperor, Dr. Kuseno or someone else to reinstate the core after this is all done. I don’t know if he’s going to keep holding onto it during the fight though - he’s probably going to toss it to Blast after they (potentially) get moved to another dimension and he’s gonna settle this fight with Garou. Meanwhile Blast warps back to those on Earth and gives the core to someone who can revive Genos.

I was scrolling through the comments and its the extended soundtrack legend himself 👏 Yeah on my first read of the chapter I was super confused by it, but after about a minute I managed to put two and two together. Really goes to show Garou can remember a lot of things and that probably contributes to his adaptability. Hopefully Genos has some kind of saving grace here because I would hate to see him die for real.

Yeah the term I've heard is Black Rain. It happened after the Hiroshima nuke went off and a lot of ash went into the atmosphere and when it rained the rain contained radioactive materials. There was a shirt donated in 2012 to a museum that had black stains on it and they tested it and it was radioactive. It was from a girl who was there when the nuke went off in 1945 and the shirt was rained on afterwards

Definitely agree with this! ONE PUNCH MAN is actually really creative and amazing! It is just that people are more enticed by the drawing art style rather than paying attention to the deeper meaning behind the story plot of ONE's story. 😣 But still, I am more thrilled about how OPM has gotten, and they creatively made this chapter that way.

Genos will probably only remember the last time he got upgraded(before he joins the war) if Dr. Kuseno revives him. Getting an upgrade, your memories will be backed up incase something bad happens to the upgrade then that backed up memory will be useful. If Kuseno wants to revive Genos, Kuseno will just use a backed up memory chip from last time he got upgraded 'cuz Genos brain is gone .
