Certain things are loud in the game because when arcades were more popular, that thing would happen and it would turn some heads to the machine. Giving it some attention and make someone throw a coin at it. Arcades are loud and this was a way to break through the noise and get some possible coins. A lot of old games did that.
@@eduardoserpa1682 Yeah, they made the combo breaker sound so much louder than the rest of the game because it wouldn't come up when the arcade owners were setting up the cabinet, so they'd set the sound level to match the rest of the arcade, but combo breakers were absurdly loud.
@humaneshadowx71 StrIVe is gonna top either way, but this’ll help ArcSys’s sales even more if their GG Holy Trinity (AC+R, Rev2, and StrIVe) all had rollback. They want GG to be bigger than Street Fighter at the moment? Then take that major opportunity.
I've never felt more betrayed than Sajam hovering over Jam, hearing 'ew' and watching him fly by. I could mentally see him flipping her off as he drove by.
kinda funny he doesn't even know who the Gundam is. I get that he doesn't care about the lore, but having somebody basically start up street fighter and be like "who's this military lookin' dude? Whoa, back flip kicks and purple energy? He's alright I guess," is still pretty funny to me.
Sajam's reaction to Sol's sidewinder was my exact same when I saw it years ago. God bless that move even though it does nothing really except extend combos and be really loud.

Also throwing this out, this was a fan project that ASW backed, so its more of the fans implementation of rollback as opposed to ASW in house rollback. But that’s still a good thing, good interaction with the community for sure
There’s rumors of the same thing happening for BlazBlue Central Fiction (hiring mods to create rollback). We’ll have to wait until next year, but it’ll be major if BB came back like that in full force, esp. if it could also work for Cross Tag.
*sees ABA* "Eeeew..." That's probably why she still hasn't come back... you bullies. :( Then later "This character is pretty cool." Thank you! If only more people had this opinion. :x
I'm not too worried, besides tekken and SFV, you can find virtually no big games that have bad implementation of rollback. I mean it is mostly because of GGPO, but MK did well without it too, and if they are working from the start to make the netcode good then I'm pretty sure they will, or at least have a good base that can be perfected as more feedback is given.
FEXL is made by a small company called Arika, but they’ve managed to create their own rollback with little to no problems, _and_ they working on crossplay next.
Oh my god. Sajam made me feel old. I played the HELL out of this game until my friends refused to play me. I had to let people pick Golden characters for them to play me. Gold Sol was absolutely BUSTED. So much so that toddlers could give a run for your money. No cap.
Mansmo have you played against gold Sol? He could walk across the full screen in less than a second, he could get a full super bar in two seconds, his uppercut did close to 50 percent damage, his normals had less push back, and he healed when not taking damage.
My guess is they’re taking these modders they hired and making them work on improving StrIVe’s netcode alongside Zinac, on top of this and the rumored BBCF rollback addition for next year.
Play solo missions and survival and story to unlock gold, shadow and ex versions of every character! It drastically changes the game and the character with how they play!
www.dustloop.com/forums/index.php?/forums/topic/10501-differences-between-regular-and-ex-goldshadow-and-sp-characters-in-the-guilty-gear-xx-series/ yes the characters either gain new moves or have changed properties on moves infinite tension health Regen etc. Read the forum in link for more but example as from this forum gold Sol is always in dragon install with health regen and infinite tension etc, EX Faust changes his insta kill from the nuke going off to it being a dud then he walks to the patient before it explodes and everyone gets an afro!
I was just playing this on the wii, i see the video and think its old, then i saw the date, and i gotta question something... HOW DID THIS GAME BECAME POPULAR AGAI?!?!
How do you tell what your playstyle is? Seriously, people say to just choose a character based on your playstyle but I can't even really say what my playstyle is.
Do you naturally play more aggressively in matches? Rush down close character. Do you like playing technical? Enjoy long difficult tricky set up combos? Try highly technical combo orientated characters. Do you enjoy zoning a player out, making them incredibly frustrated, having an answer to all of their moves to get in? Play a zoner.
@@charlesgray6385 Normally I just play diffrent in every game and situation. I don't really know what I am comfortable with because that changes so often. The only big thing for me is really hard execution I am not a fan of cause I'm bad. Aggro vs defense I usually just play whoever the best (or if they are too hard one of the best) and just go from there. Usually I notice those are defensive characters because defense is usually stronger.
I had similar issues with my stick on this game. Using a Madcatz TE2+ and it would work fine but after about like 8-10 minutes it would randomly disconnect. Doesn't have this issue with other games as far as I can tell.
How do you get that stick to communicate with any game? I had to get some file from the way back machine to get my system to even acknowledge it exists but Killer Instinct remains unconvinced.
honestly I love watching you try out characters! I've never played guilty gear before but picked this one up because of the rollback update and player increase. Seeing you have the same reaction as me about the crazy shit this game has cracked me up so much. Zappa was actually the first characters I randomly went into training mode with and I just couldn't stop laughing. This game is pretty awesome!
At least from what was shown I feel like he barely tried Anji. There were a lot of peculiarities with the character that he missed. But if he just doesn't like the basic moves I guess it's understandable.
