That’s because Yuzu requires a lot of inputs. You know Naoto in BlazBlue: CentralFiction? With the 1 frame dash cancels? I don’t think Yuzu’s quite that bad, but she’s damn near close, so I’m told.
I like how so much of the first impressions is just marveling at how ridiculous this game seems at times, like when he's just looking at the hitboxes on Phonon.
Eltnum's theme is still my favorite...even when I didn't own the game nor watch matches the last 5 years... I literally just bought the game... Eltnum's UNIEL theme has been on my playlist since like... Forever
Do it. It's on sale for PSN for $20 (was when I checked yesterday), so there's an option too. PC you can find it cheaper on sites like GreenmanGaming as well.
Love all the in depth study of each of the characters, people recommending specific characters based off their abilities and place on the tiers and classes… …all culminating in Sajam just picking byakuya because his music sounded good. That’s so based.
Yuzu is great, you just have to accept the arthritis that comes with her execution that's all, become one with the rheumatism and she actually whoops ass.
tho Yuzu is not a weak character if youve invested time with her and memorized all of her follow ups shes up there with Seth en cough Wagner(fuck those buttons they hella fast as fuck)
She's not really the same kind of pressure monster that Johnny is due to not having an equivalent to coin, and how she can't just Zwei YRC whenever she has meter. She's a lot more of a spacing character, but just with really oppressive spacing tools. She also has pretty decent movement which Johnny lacks.
Sajam, so a hypothetical for you: You are told you can be made eternal but there's a catch. You have to move to a deserted island, (because that's just how that always happens) live with Xi, and you can only have BBTAG, UNIST, or DoA6. Which game do you pick? Once your done laughing/sobbing etc.... :3
0:45 Oh that is *it!* That's almost a dead ringer for Naoto! Man, they ain't even tryin' to *hide* it. No respect at all. @ 1:47 I can just see the "creative" departments strokey beard meeting for this one: "Oh! Hey guys, brain drizzle! What if she had *both* arms!! Huh? Huh! ^^" Jesus...... @ 7:42 Okay, so far one original character. (I think.) That's who I think I would pick, or the one that looks like Aigis's kid sister or Platinum if she stole that big red demon cyborg thingy guy's hands. :3
mikejonesnoreally 1. Eltnum, both the character and the series that she is from (which is a fighting game mind you) came out in 2002, and Persona 4 came out in 2008, with P4A coming out in 2012. So if you _really_ want to be like that Naoto should be putting respect on *Eltnum’s* name, not the other way around. So that’s strike 1 2. _laughs nervously_ No, just, no. On a design, character, and Gameplay standpoint Baiken and Yuzu are *astronomically* different, with the only similarity being a stance and a parry (even then the purposes of those moves are completely different). But as for absentmindedly making her? Well; “When the producer went through the list of planned characters, he noticed that wasn't any character with revealing clothes or any character with truly cheerful personality.” That’s from an interview with the developers behind Unist and Melty, French Bread. And well her design is just a blending of past and present clothing styles, nothing else to see there. So that’s Strike 2. 3. Byakuya’s pretty fun, I’d recommend him if you like setplay. Still 2 Strikes 4. *Ooooooh*, it all makes sense now! You’re thinking of becoming a Mika player 😮. No wonder your entire comment seems dumb as hell. Much of a meme that Mika is I can’t let headassery like this slide. 3 Strikes Now if you were genuinely interested in the game and asked a question like “Does x character play like y character?” Then I’d be happy to oblige you and answer you in a nice way. But instead you made yourself look like a dumbass and I have to play the part of attempting to set you straight. So if you have read all the way through this, congrats. Now hopefully you can understand that what you said was factually incorrect, and now you are _somewhat_ more knowledgable on where one of the characters in the game comes from. If you ask a legitimate question I’ll do what I can to answer, but if you say something stupid again then I’ll just ignore it. Have a good day/whatever time you’re reading this.
*ahem* 1. 0.0 *ATLUUUUUUS!!!!* C'mere girl you got some 'splainin' to do......yes, *again!* Don't even make me start about "My world my way!" I'm not mad just......disappointed. No go to your room and think up another sequel to Etrian Odyssey. :3 *An' no Catherine remakes!!* 0.0 Aw Damnit! >.
mikejonesnoreally A month late, since you didn’t even bother to write my name in to mention me but here’s my response. *All and any problems you had with people calling you out could have been avoided if you asked normally* You could of asked if the game’s community was any good or if it was to be avoid if you really wanted to know. But instead you decided to say what can easily be interpreted as something along the lines of: “This game’s characters are just ripoffs of another game, looks stupid.” You see where the problem lies with saying something like that? It’d be foolish to think that you can poke at a bee’s nest and not expect to get stung. As for the “inane sub-references mini game” That’s because there is a history to the game and the genre as a whole. The same can be said about *any* activity, competitive or otherwise. On the note of playing the “joke” character, there is nothing at all wrong with playing them, but as the character is a “joke” among the community, being considered a goofball because you play said character will 9/10 times come in tandem with each other. And just because you mentioned that these things are “your opinion” it does not at all mean that you have the _carte blanche_ to say something that’s easily seen as an attack on a game that has a passionate community without any kind of scrutiny whatsoever. Along with the fact that this is the year 2019 where the vast majority of people on the internet have a chip on their shoulder and what surprises me more is how you weren’t expecting some kind of response the ones you’ve received (from me and the other two commenters). All in all, I can at least respect playing who you want to play and “taking the temperature” of a community that your unfamiliar with, but the problem was your method of doing so. No one likes it when someone tries to stir things up in a way that causes more detriments than benefits. So next time, maybe try a reasonable approach to interacting with a new group? I still want my Etrian Odyssey though. That we can both agree on.
