Yum! These look so good! And getting the salmon off the skin was ingenious...lol! I would definitely add coconut aminos to the salmon and the sauce. I cook with it all the time (I put it in practically everything...lol) and anything Asian HAS to have coconut aminos for me, whether the recipe calls for it or not...lol! Thanks for sharing!
I made them with a mixture of canned tuna, canned and fresh salmon. Thank you so much!!! Watching you cook ensures that I am full. It seems that I am always hungry because our diet is so restrictive. Thank you again. You are awesome
Thank you! I love your channel. Could you make more videos with seafood in general. Besides salmon, canned tuna, and shrimp, I am having a hard time adding seafood to my diet. I am on day 27 since I started AIP and I am feeling great!
How did you know I needed a idea for salmon today! I bet these will also be good with the Stacey Slaw I just made! do you freeze these after you make them? Or how long would you think they were ok in the fridge? Thank you, -as allways! :-)
Yes, they would be great with that slaw! :) I do freeze them and they are great reheated in the toaster oven. I would probably eat them within 24 hours if I left them in fridge. I hope you like them!!
That can be an issue, especially with farmed fish! Not as much of an issue with wild caught. The reason I remove the skin is because the texture would not be good in a salmon cake. Sometimes if I bake my salmon and the skin gets all crispy I'll eat it that way.
I haven't tried freezing and then thawing and cooking these. I think it would work- but if the first one falls apart in the pan they would still be great baked so it's worth a shot!
You can buy it online! :) Alaska Gold has wild caught salmon burger meat in a 20 lb box for only $10.75/lb which is pretty cheap for wild Alaskan. shrsl.com/xn72 If you get a 30 lb box of Coho filets it's $12.83/lb which isn't too bad either. shrsl.com/xn75 I like the burger meat because it's cheaper and you can make all kinds of things with it- burgers, casseroles, soup, tacos, shepherd's pie....
RealWorldAIP wow that’s cheap for salmon! I am just not in love with the grass fed beef. But I’m not a beef fan. I love chicken. I doubt that’s got as much good stuff in it as beef. I saw some beef bone powder. I wonder if I’d get nutrients if I sprinkled it on my chicken, haha. I’m still trying to figure out how to find healthy veggies. I pretty much don’t like anything green, this diet is gonna be so hard for me
RealWorldAIP ok wait when you say burger meat are you saying the salmon is like ground? Like ground salmon. Cuz I was thinking ya meant cow burger. Lol... I’m so confused
Cathy Mango I have seen organic veggies at Wal-Mart! Salads can be so good with creamy homemade avocado dressing. I hide veggies in stir-fries, stews...you could grind up a bunch of arugula and hide it in turkey burgers :)
