Saltbox Stitcher [Episode 36] "Year End Wrap Up and a Glimpse of Christmas" 

You have such a spectacular home. Your husband did such a wonderful job on the home presentation at the end. Prolific, that’s the one word that describes all your beautiful handwork. I hope someday, I have such beauties to leave my children. Just gorgeous. Thank you Carol for sharing your work and heart with us!

The boxes your husband made you are really gorgeous. He is very talented. I love your videos, your stitching is gorgeous and your stitching walls are too beautiful for words. Loved the home tour! Your husband did a wonderful job editing the video and on this beautiful shaker boxes!!!! We were so thankful as well to be able to attend our Christmas Eve service in person. When I sat and thought about it, it did not take long to see so many of the blessings the Lord has graciously blessed my family with this year! I’m thankful always for His goodness and mercies. Loved seeing all your want to stitch charts! I’ve collected quite a few pieces of Fox and Rabbit too and look forward to stitching on it! I pray you and your family have a safe and blessed New Year as well❤️

When you are showing the camera what you are working on I have noticed from other tubers tilt the item forward and down and you not have the glare. Love you Carol and happy new year..

Oh, Carol, All your stitching is so beautiful. I would keep that husband, if I were you. He sure has been gifted with a special talent just like you. You make a great pair!! Your decorations are so beautiful. You can tell your home is full of love and looks so cozy. I know you must be exhausted after all the coordinating, cooking and getting everything ready to celebrate the birth of our Savior. I am glad you were able to spend time with your family. Now to take it all down and put away! Whew! After that is all done, you will be able to get back to some quilting, some relaxing stitching and hopefully some good restful sleep. Thank you for sharing your stitching, your gifts and haul. I have enjoyed watching you this year. I appreciate all the hard work you put into each and every Flosstube. I just back into cross stitching this year after giving it up to quilt. To my surprise, I finally figured out I could do both. Who would have “thunk” such a thing? LOL. Thanks again. I am convinced that only through the grace of God and all the prayers got through it all.

Now I know why you love the Country Sampler in Spring Green WI, as I viewed your house tour I thought I was walking through Country Sampler. Quilts and cross stitch samplers on display everywhere. I am so glad you do display them and just don't hide them in cupboards or drawers. Talking about Thimbleberry, I just completed the BOM that was birdhouses (2003) for a cousin who had never started it and decided she did like it. I had to come up with fabric for background and borders and when it was done I asked her if she was sure she still did not like it. She loved it so I returned it to her but told her she had to get it quilted. I had not started quilting at the time Thimbleberry was the go to, but I have picked up a couple of the quilt books. I sub Kansas Trouble for the Thimbleberry fabric. Happy 2021 and may we all have hours of stitching and quilting, and go quilt shop/needlework shop hopping.

Carol, I so enjoy your videos. You are quite an inspiration and an enabler. I do have the pattern for Merry Christmas Ella Vaughn and after seeing it in your videos, I have started stitching it. My maternal grandmother's name was Ella, so it is an easy choice of who to remember in this piece. Also, I recognized your Thimbleberry quilt. When I pulled out mine, I found that more than half the blocks were done. So, it is going to be finished this year. It reminds me of the wonderful group that stitched together at that time. It is the 2nd Thimbleberry BOM that we did as learning pieces. The first one had a monthly theme and I love it. During this lock down time, I have pulled out some of my oldest stitching projects and it has been rewarding to finally complete them. Happy New Year to year.

I made that Thimbleberry quilt. As I am from Minnesota it was everywhere. Yes she is retired now and I have used all of my fabric. Still quilting but getting back into cross stitching, very slow. Love all of your framed pieces.

Thank you, Carol, for another lovely video. I made a quilt 18 years ago with Thimbleberries fabric for my son and his wife when they got married...it was predominantly green. My cousin was a sales rep for them for many years.. she is now a Moda rep. I just wish I could sit across the table from you for about a week at a retreat and just chat and chat...I'd bring my sisters as well. One predominantly quilts, the other lives in the Tampa area and she stitches...but can quilt, etc. We come from quilting and stitching stock many generations back. Your husband is so talented in his box making. What a gem! Again, thank you for the lovely video. I watched it more than once! Have a very Happy New Year! ❣

Lovely home and decorations Carol! Snuggling with the pup looks like me! I stitch better with my furries around me. Lynette Jensen of Thimbleberries retired a long time ago but I love her fabrics. Jan Patek also likes big chunky blocks. Takes a lot of quilting to finish them off! I joined the sampler club at Country Sampler this year! Looking forward to that!

10/18/2021. Just watched this video and it was wonderful. Especially enjoyed the music " O Holy Night" with the pic collage at the end. We have very similar tastes in designers and patterns. What a wonderful way to start the new year off! You are such an inspiration Carol! I just want to quit working and stitch all day, everyday! But then I wonder how will I buy more and more to stitch! Lol I bought the BBD Moon Garden off of ebay sometime last year all kitted up. But my fabric says that it's 32 count Rook. And its one of many BBD charts that I have kitted and ready to go, now if I can just find the time. I will get some stitching time here soon as I have to have a hysterectomy, if they will ever just schedule the dang surgery, because I'm just plumb miserable. But stitching again all day is all I can think about. Funny how our priorities are sometimes! LOL I'm not completely done watching the video, but wanted to comment, as I forget about alot of what you show, as I do not take notes. If I took notes I would be homeless, but would have plenty to stitch on my little street corner!! LOL Happy New Year to you and your family Carol!! Take care, Ruth. P.S.
