This television is MORE than adequate. All the tests and and technical breakdowns are appreciated. However, settings without professional calibrations make a wonderful picture. Interface is great as well. I bought the qn85a and gave it away to replace it with this one. Rock solid.

Hi GB, I’ve been trying to decide between these two models (QN85B vs Q80B) in the 85” variant. Every reviewer and on paper suggests the 85b is much better and worth the additional cost. Do you feel otherwise? What made you get rid of the qn85b for the q80b?

The 4 hdmi ports on the samsung tvs this year is so good. Also the q70b etc. This year seems a very good year for all brands.

The 70b isn’t available on Samsung US website. We never received the AU7000 or AU9000 last year either

Thank you for the instructions. I discovered my base plate was not drilled for all of the screw holes.. So, gotta get with Samsung for a replacement. I wasn't about to start drilling and tapping my own holes.

I have the Q80B 55 inch tv bought new and get a "Enter service mode and select: type, front color" how do you enter service mode on the Q80B with the smart remote? Or do I need a universal remote to do this. Thanks

Was the review on the TV provided? I just bought one and so far, my minor complaint is the volume. It’s extremely low in my opinion however I do have a sound bar. Is this case with everyone else ? I’m still learning & would like to know more while I’m still in the grace period.

Does anybody know how to enter the Guide for the Live Terrestrial Channels? I had the Q70B and the remote had a dedicated GUIDE button but this Q80B doesn't have that, is it possible to get the Guide Channel on this one? I can't find anywhere, unless Samsung just removed it?

How do you select your external TV for standard broadcast? My old remote had a source choice but this on the sources does not show anything for standard antenna broadcasting just Samsung tv. Thank you for help.

at first I was going to get the toshiba m550 55 inch tv , but I heard a few bad reviews and I am used to samsung,so now I order this on Sunday its more expensive because I wanted 4 hmi ports, so it cost me $1,210.00 after taxes

I don’t use cable it’s the worst picture and kinda old tech. I use apps that are clearer but not as organized. It still has glare day or night. I just received it and haven’t tested anything

Crazy how Samsungs line up is all over the place this year.. qd oled cheeper than the 800b but it’s better.. I’d rather stay with the 80b for the price and you get everything as the flagship.. and a better screen.

@@aceg1557 how is it hard lol the q60,q70 are samsung budget tv without local dimming. the q80,q85,q90 are samsung high end with local dimming and the q95 is oled and the q800 are 8k models
