@@velkylev4217 The word :"vodka" was borrowed from the polish language. Where the polish word :"wodka" actually the loan translation of latin - "aqua vitae".
+Charlene Alyssa Ingram go watch redlettermedia's interview with the actor. Apparently after so many reshoots and rewrites he was so pissed off he stopped trying altogether.
+FanboyFlicks Hi Mark. Same here - (introducing Samurai Cop .. watched it months ago)... Following your channel all the way from NZ. You are a funny bugger! Thanks
I saw an interview with the Samurai Cop actor a few years ago. He has barely aged. He looks the same and he is such a down to earth guy. It was a really nice interview.
Watch Karate Girl. It's a shitty Turkish film that was lost in history, until the internet learned that it had the worst, longest, and most drawn-out death scene ever. I swear, it's worse than Samurai Cop.
2 years later. Please tell me you've seen it. It's one hell of an experience. If you haven't watch it with friends and if you smoke weed make sure you're stocked up. You'll have a great time 😂
The scene in the car, where he kept saying "shoot him!" over and over? I bet that was multiple takes to get the best one, but then the director used them all for run time.
@@PurooRoy from my understanding, in Japanese, "Katana" is just their word for sword. So a western longsword would be a kind of Katana. In the West it refers to a sword patterned after a traditional Japanese typing, with a two handed grip and slightly curved single edge blade of medium length. To someone with knowledge of Japanese, speaking to their blue collar Westerner coworker who just asked a simple question that only needed a simple answer,, simply saying 'Japanese Sword' is a perfectly reasonable explanation that covers both bases well enough without over explaining. All that aside, 'Katana' certainly doesn't refer to a specific sword, I the way Tokyo refers to a specific city. Excalibur refers to a specific sword. Longsword does not refer to a specific sword. Katana does not refer to a specific sword. Durandal does refer to a specific sword. Etc.
@@stuflames4769 sword is called nihonto in Japanese. There are many different types of Japanese swords - katana, odachi, tachi, ninjato, wakizashi, tanto etc.
My whole life, I felt empty. There are something important that I was suppose to do. Something that would change the world. I was suppose to watch Samurai Cop. I did that in Feb of 2020. Since then, everything has been perfect. 2020 will go down as the best year ever.
Well it's a japanese word for single edged curved sword, the transliteration of the kanji character 刀 otherwise pronounced as ''tou'', it's not limited to samurai swords because French sabers and Persian scimitar and Chinese Dao and any other single edged curve swords are ''katana'' as well. But it's sword in Japanese nonetheless, so it's not really not that much bullshit.
+Joseph Wallaby Knowing lots of Japanese culture and/or being interested in it does not make one a weeaboo. The person has to reject his/her own culture and try to be Japanese from the little information they got only to get it wrong. The OP didn't say or even imply anything about rejecting his own culture.
19:16 Actually, that is pretty much spot on the Yakuza: they kill people, they sell drugs, they abuse and pimp women but... THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT HONOR. That part about honor is actually true in real life lol
Councilor, before your law suit even gets off the court clerk's desk, I'll have their stinking bodies in garbage bags and shipem back to Japan for fertilizer.
Thing is, they don’t make movies “so bad that they’re good” anymore. They’re all just movies so bad that they’re... BAD. Aw, I miss the 90s/early 2000s.
19:15 Well...soldiers in the imperial japanese army did much worse in WW2 and that didn't stop them from being concerned about honour. It's just that their definition of honour was total bullshit.
What a stirring cinematic treasure. There are no words to describe just how much this movies has touched my life, I named my daughter samurai. Thank you film gods.
The 3rd "Hey wait a minute!" Gets me everytime, Idk if it's, because it's the 3rd time we hear it or if it's, because it's from a distance, but there's something magical happening during that sequence!!! Love you Stuckman, been a fan since the early days. Stuckman, Jahns, and Schmoes Original!!
