Much more so than P5R's traits. In P5R like 90% of the traits were useless, 9% of the remaining ones were good in niche scenarios or just a straight up damage boost, and then the other 1% was Retaliating Body/Inviolable Beauty. There are also a lot more traits in this game than in P5R lol, and 3 demons with access to them on the field at one time, compared to 1 persona Joker has active.
@@thelog6114 Kind of, that is if you're strictly speaking in terms of how busted it is. But Izanagi-no-Okami Picaro basically had a trait where he got a damage multiplier based on compendium completion and he is able to one shot every superboss in the game except Lavenza, but even then he still trivializes Lavenza. There's no setups required, he's just that strong naturally if you have 100% compendium completion. Also in my experience the only trait you wanted in P5R's campaign was Mighty Gaze or the single target version. It blows up pretty much anything very easily. As much as I love P5R, that game had some serious balancing issues and prefer Vanilla most of the time because of it.
Extremely minor optimization I spotted (that obviously didn't matter in practice), but Gogmagog's 2 filler slots could have been used on Great Life Spring + Life Spring to hit 999 Max HP, boosting the damage gained from Adversity from ~3.395x to ~3.397x (an increase of about 1 point for every 2,347 you actually dealt. Like I said very minor).
I think its really cool this was pulled off, but if anyone tries to replicate it I feel a need to point out that it seems to be highly inconsistent (based on my own testing). The first problem you'll likely see is that the ailments can miss. As you mention in the video, you theoretically have an extra turn, so you can afford to have this happen once. The bigger problem is if you dont miss. Hitting satan with confuse or charm guarantees he won't retaliate, while fog can cause him to retaliate on the wrong target. You need to hit him with poison to break him out of this and then hope you can loop back around to get whoever didn't get hit before to get hit after that. If all of the ailments are applied with no issue, there seems to be some amount of variance to the amount of magatsuhi used by nahobeeho's strategize. Sometimes it seems you'll be just under a full gauge. If you still have that extra turn, and if your loa has an ailment, you can go for it and miss on purpose to make up that little bit extra. If you manage to get passed all that, you then run into actually pulling off the figment slashes. Even with this setup, you need to hit at least 6 in a row. I know there is an ability that makes missing not take an extra press turn, so if you replaced endure with that after getting gog to 1hp, you'd be able to theoretically afford one miss...provided you still have the extra turn from earlier. Ultimately theres about 11 different turns where you need to not miss (and 5 where you need to also not hit satan specifically) to pull this off, and seemingly a luck factor around whether or not you even have the necessary amount of magatsuhi to get adversity up at all. I'm not really sure if anything can be done to actually improve the consistency, this may be the best method there is even with these potential issues.
Yea, it does have a number of RNG elements to it. One thing you could do which I didn't here was put Gogamagog after Xiezhai, to make use of the Helmsmann innate for more accuracy
im remember someone calculate dragon eyes + beast eye should make figment slash reach 80% accuracy in vanilla, now that we have innate ability in this case xiezhai helmsman, im sure it should reach 100% or at least close to it?
I'm literally being stuck in the ailment rng right now ;-; can't afford to have >100 luck on those virus carriers. When i actually did manage to hit enough ailments, nahobeeho failed me ;-; this strat is fun but god too many rngs
@@dave9515I guess Satan has the little niche of being a nice single target dmg dealer on a main boss while you deal with the other enemies with weaknesses, and its innate can deal quite a bit of dmg in situations with many ailments (like the Shiva fight)
@@tequiodio I have mine use megidolaon. Freikugel can work on him extremely well and Satan is extremely flexible so you can use him for support and still deal some damage and yeah the innate has some use for sure. Never experienced shiva fight with him though. I just brought a team of Ice build nahobino for that run of the whole COC route i did, A insanely stacked Fionn Mac Cumhail cause Fionn one of my favorite demons and Figment slash works with any physical demon and than Jatayu cause i had no idea about the crit damage cap at the time that cannot be surpassed unless its an innate like Gog's or is having damage increased thanks to other sources for damage.
I really dislike all these cheese strategies but doing the fight legit is just impossible and I think developers wanted people to beat these encounters no matter how. Still pretty impressive the amount of Big brain strategy people have shown, it just makes me feel bad that I can't come up with a strategy like this, and doing the normal way is like hitting a wall with my head.

Is not that they are impossible, is that doing them the intended way requires a certain amount of damage threeshold and surviability, the demi fiend for example, you can't reflect physical or block physical, because if you do, he'll go chaotic will and you risk dying, he is scripted to go for that only 1 time in the fight unless you do the affore mention, satan is similar, you can't repel or block stuff because he will inmediately go for megido ark and one shot somebody, but if you let the fight for for long enough and dont kill his goons, he would absord a fairy demon and the next turn he would do fairy banquet, essentially resetting the whole fight, if you want to beat him normally, but not to the point of cheesing him, the best way of doing so, is to have a demon capable of taking down his goons, while with the nahobino, you want to stack omnipotent succession with another magatsuhi skill when the bar goes up, like critical, adversary, savage or charge, then slowly cheap away at satan health while using an evasion nahobino set that allows you to exploit light weaknesses. It takes a while, but it can be done, as far as other things go, I wouldnt even call it cheese because at the end of the day, its turn base combat, strategy isnt exactly cheesing, that is just taking advantage of your best options, I can call it cheese if it was an action rpg like kh or the new final fantasy games, and there was a move you can just spam to bypass the whole thing, here is different, its all strategy.
I watch a lot of cheese strat vdo vs satan and thought I was goin to do it after a few NG+ but I just wanted to try it a normal way once. 20-30 min later I beat satan 😅 after that lv 150 miracle just trivialized the game for me. Just buff team + debuff his team, If any demon die just revival chant and sakuya magatsuhi for buff and mp, repeat. The mc + team do aoe magic build only left low hp demon alive for satan to heal.
Just to add, you didn't make use of Xiezhai's innate ability, helmsman, which greatly increases the accuracy of the ally that moves actions after him. It didn't matter in the end as none of the figment slashes missed, but just wanted to throw it in as a thing for extra consistency.
Wait. Belial is limited to Chaos route? Is it the same place as it was in CoC, where you have to walk to a certain place in the Empyrean and you'll get told to slay Michael? I thought it was a CoC exclusive demon that you HAD to NG+ to get to.
How many times have you repeated this til you succeed? I started doing this around 6am and it's already 2pm now and still can't do it. I'm stuck at the virus carriers. At some point one of them would miss and I lose a turn point or one of them would make Satan not parry because they made him sleep or something. 😢 Please send help.
I tried to use Dakini also, switching her for Aharabaki, but I lost Strategize ability and with it the turn. I suppose this is because it's also linked to Aharabaki's ability while he is present? You think Dakini would make at least a difference in the place of Xhiezai, or is the precision upgrade so important?
Is the refill of magatsuhi kinda random ? Some time i have less and i didn't manage to charge it back yet for the adversity I need to use a turn with my nahobino but then satan will be still standing and i would need one more attack So do i just need to try to get a high amount of magatsuhi refill or or should i deal with a 2nd turn to finish him ?
I swear I've tried this 50 times and I get 1 or two ailments at MOST to land on my best runs. Yes, sutras used, yes, luck incense used, yes, level 99 guys I was excited and built all of this, but this seems impossible to land the ailments and actually keep the turns needed
one question: how do you have those stats on gogmagog? did you already unlock godborn mode? i’m on my first playtrought (i beat lucifer and then reload to get access to the boss fight) and i’m really struggling to even get to half hp, i tried more or less everything i could but i still end up losing because i just cant deal the damage i need. i’ve already maxed every demon to 99 but my stats are still too low compared to satan, and i can’t find a consistent way to farm incense without the godborn shop. any suggestions?
Both Gog and Arioch get 5% per stack of their innate, but Gog's is a lot easier to set-up. You only need weaknesses on the team, and in this run, there were 23 (Gog 5, Ara 4, Xiezhai 7, MC 7). To get the same with Arioch, you'd need to kill every teammate which wouldn't work here. and limits you generally
What would be a working strat with Arioch? I pumped all my incenses into him. My Gogmagog has only ahout 70 strength. Is it still possible to win with a low Gogmagog?
I am guessing if you can refill magatsuhi once per turn you can do it unlimited times so really you probably could use every omagatoki attack available for n your team in a single turn? You would need eternal prayer to revive everyone to keep cheesing the Satan counterattack? Also can you combine this with abusing the fusion that restores your press turns (Dana’s wisdom?).
If you try to apply the same ailment multiple times in Vengeance, enemies gain resistance to that type. So I don't think you could abuse the ailment set-up multiple times. There is a Magatsuhi Dekajaon that resets opponents ailment resistance, but that's really not worth to use
I cannot reliably get any of the debuffs to hit when trying this out even with beast eye and dragon eye on all party members, how many resets did it take for you to get this run?
as an aside, I always seem to end up with like one pip of magatsuhi missing even when following this setup exactly, I'm guessing unless all the ailments hit then it's a dead run. EDIT: ailment hits don't actually have any effect on the amount of magatsuhi recovered by vengeance, is it entirely based off of the difficulty you're in or the total HP of the demon that gets nuked?
Dragon/Beast Eye only affect damage move accuracy, not ailments. This did take a number of tries, but should be doable with Loa and same ailment potential/luck as here. One thing is, Nahobeeho's innate gives back a variable amount of Magatsuhi each time (something like between 10-20%), so that may effect the run. You only gain Magatsuhi when a Demon dies, not when applying the ailment
Any chance you make a macca farming guide? All of the online guides are horrible and no one is explaining how to stack consecutive encounters for massive Bonuses. The encounter system sucks and i hate it. Farming macca is a pain even with DLC since its never explained the consecutive encounter system and how to trigger as many as possible so you can farm macca fast. No guide online explains how to chain mitamas either and riberama/attract pipes make them run away and scatter from you super fast. its infuriating farming for stat boosters on Godborn.
Not to promote my own stuff but, I have a guide for that specificly, but if you're talking about the mitamas, then that means you have the mitama dance, in which case, go to options, there's a part where you can choose what mitamas you want to spawn, just pick the money ones and let the others to not appear, then go to taito, there's a place in the map where there's a bunch of fenrirs, take an attract pipe and fight, the consecutive encounters are completely base luck, you cannot just secure them, but they are more likely to happen if a lot of enemies are present at the same time, so if you exploit that fact, the taito part with a bunch of fenrirs would up your chances of getting a chain encounter, if you want to farm them at level 150, you can either user a demon like abaddon, or matador, which have their passives to instakill if they land a weakness of critical hit, up their luck as much as possible and just spam yabusame shot, you can also that bird that I dont remember the name, the one that gives you the Ra feather, you can use megido flame that pierce and hits everyone. My guide is more for the people that dont have the mitama dance, but with the what im telling you, if you do it correctly, you should get around 500k or 2kk macca per fight.

Its just frustrating cause i have seen clips and pics of people getting over 9 million macca from one encounter and i remember seeing one korean guide where the dude consistently chained 4 mitama encounters. I also use abaddon with loa for instant ko synergy. Luck based consecutive encounters was not a good decision. Do you know how long it can take to even grind 20 million macca which only nets 188 balms for the protag or about 4-8 sets of incenses for your demons? The stat prices is exorbant in the worst ways. Also thanks for the taito location tip. I genuinely thought taito was the worst for macca grinding since its so large and scattered the enemy placements for a large portion of the map.
@@bainz I understand what you are saying but the videos out there don't really explain in full detail how everything works and even searching online for the info is as unhelpful as looking for datamine info on stats and formulas well at least some people have datamined the dmg calcs and formulas for stats and such but no one is going into the nitty gritty of the encounter systems and that to me is as valuable as understanding stats and formulas since you are required to do some stat grinding for godborn and then if you ever want to dig into the bonus content you need 999 everything demon and protag teams which costs over 300 million macca to do.
@@dave9515 to be fair, the only real content that demands 999 stats on everything is challenge mode lvl 999 on hard, that thing is just really unfair, I don't think there's a consistent way to chain mitamas other than stacking passives, attract pipe, ribeame and I don't remember if there's a demon with a passive that has similar properties, but yeah, it really is luck base, the best you can do is just getting lucky, the best of luck to you homie, on my end I would be farming the old fashion way, although who knows, maybe I'll grow sick of it and buy the mitamas dance since it easily cuts around 20 no hours of grind.
So yeah, this build is good and etc. but let me help you if you too, like me, fail over and over again even with all this strat. To know the common issues watch comment of @Namingway248 here. If you don't feel like invest stat boost to random debuff demons, just use our boy Masakado! Obviously, when you fail strat more or less near the end (no magatsuhi so one Gog's shot without it OR not enough dmg of Gog's hits). So next issue to survive your buff anthena demon, because you can do the trick again but with Nohoobihoo's just 3 shiny press turns. The idea is to summon him, skip till he can pull Strategize, and do 3 demon's debuff circle with Amanazako at end, and then - Masakado. Masa pull one aoe and then you do same thing as you do with a Gog. Keep in mind, it's not a 2 turn strategy, you still have to survive and repeat the thing. I'm personaly faill even this part, but the caos route exlusive demon so happens to have pierce attack for me to finish off last portion of Satan's health.
I was trying to use nahobeeho first instead of Horus to save a press turn on switching in arahabaki but it kept deleting my strategize. As soon as i switched it to how you do it started working properly. I have no idea why horus needs to be first.
Horus has a innate skill that allows the Demon coming in to gain Impaler's Animus, that 1/2 press turn is the fastest way to get it onto Arahabaki. Arahabaki needs to be on the field when Strategize is activated to get the Magatsuhi square and pass it on to switched in allies
A lot, I kept all the Strength Incences I got during my playthrough and used them all for this run, prob 30+. There were also stat ups from Demon Haunt. Though there was 1 turn left here, so lower Str is prob doable
I am truly disgusted. But rather by myself. You see, I defeated Demi Fiend on hard *TWICE* to get his essence for essence fusion and skill inheritance. I switched to "safety" difficulty for the Satan fight because I just wanted to be done with this fight after I failed for hours. I want to get to experience the other ending on godborne and it's just taking so much time so I decided to take the "easy route" Because I'd never have gotten through it with my demi fiend build anyways...and then there's people like you who one turn Satan...I just...am I truly this bad at gaming..?
Don't feel bad. Most of these speedkill strat is just a combination of datamining, theorycrafting and lots of errors. I will always advocate for people to do superbosses normally at least once without resorting to these kind of speedkill.
Don't beat yourself up also i don't think you should call yourself bad at the game when the game sometimes straight up lies to you about stuff like Huang Long innate description isn't true at all. Also before datamines and such not really anyone understood much about how stuff ticked and worked and a lot of advancements in this stuff is a result of community efforts to push the game more.
These super-bosses are also extremely intense, when people talk about difficulty in games they don't point to bosses that give you turn limits against statted out strong demons or the chance of ailments derailing momentum. ATLUS want's to make these bosses feel like walls for a reason they know how much there fans love to look at insurmountable odds and not just decide to climb but shatter it and rejoice when we do. I know PLENTY of people who can't get thru demi fiend on normal if they tried, hoist those two wins with pride gamer.

Shiva Tandava can work if you have an spare turn available. Uh if you're on casual, I don't think you need to try this type of set-up, could just beat him in more turns
I'd say that figuring out these kinds of strategies is way harder than doing it normally. Granted, it would be cheesy if you copied it after knowing it works.
