Satellite and microwave dish mounts often don't allow smooth and precise azimuth rotation. This is my attempt to machine sturdy and precise rotary microwave and satellite antenna dish mount with taper roller bearings, accurate degree scale and pointer, using a desktop laser engraver, multi-color 3D printer and a manual lathe and mill.
This video covers the machining, fixture-making and testing of the mount, plus an overview of making the scales and pointer. I've made a separate deep dive video into how I used Lightburn and the Creality Falcon2 desktop laser to design and make five different types of engraved and laser-marked metal degree rings.
