After roughly 10 years and 50k miles driven, I am saying goodbye to my 2004 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6, which has been my trusted daily driver and the second vehicle I ever owned.
Join me for one last look as we review the backstory of purchasing my 4Runner, my maintenance history, modification overview, and my favorite features. I'll be taking delivery of a new car soon, but before I do, I wanted to provide a final send off to my 4Runner.

I just got rid of a very similar 4runner, a 2005 SR5 They really are superb vehicles. If it wasn't for the rust issues these things would be lasting 30+ years easily.

It you take care of them from day one and rust proof them, they will.

@@Shawn-ky2tw That isn't "easy" though. And besides most people can't afford brand new 4runners, never mind affording a couple hundred to coat them annually.

@@PocketsandOutlaw Agree. I do it myself on my GX 460 using Woolwax. Put her on 4 ramps, take the skids off and spray away. You only need to do every 2 years, however I plan to go under in the 'in-between' years to spot spray. I agree, if you can't purchase new, but do it as soon as you get it. Myself, I don't trust anyone to work on my truck unless it's really complicated work. It took me 5 hours to rustproof and REALLY concentrated on the frame (inside and out)! Yes, I have a '23 and guess I am fortunate enough. Plan to keep her a long ass time.

Paint looks sick on a truck of this age. Good job taking care of her. Sure it wasn't easy to get rid of her, but the next owner will be really happy. Assume you got a good price for her!

Yes very soon! I just took delivery of my new car and am getting it registered and ready for action, but once that is done, the 4Runner will be listed!
