I agree with the high lift blades. My mulching blades come off as soon as the leaves start falling.. Now I live on a farm and have about 25 Big hardwood trees in my yard and no intention of bagging leaves. I mow around the house always throwing the leaves to the discharge side and it is amazing how few leaves I have left when I get to the edge of the yard. But this is not in an urban setting like you have to deal with. Tried a mulching kit once no more of that.

If we have the room in some of the big yards we like to mulch them up by pushing them out the way you are doing them also.

This is a late post, but I had the fuse issue and ended up replacing the PTO clutch. It fixed the problem

appreciate the video. Not sure about the scags but you are a better judge than m .I like you am getting ready for snow season. One question: Do you like the reliability of the snow ex tailgate spreader? good luck this snow season.

The spreader has not let me down so far. I have been running it 3 years. The Scags are OK as far as a mower goes. I am very limited on the brands and quality dealerships in my area.

Not sure about the belt bouncing but a thought might be the tensioner spring has lost some of its strength. I know guys with wheelhorse tractors have had that be an issue with tensioner springs. Makes sense to me anyway. Long day and for a second I thought you were sitting in your living room at the end that tractor looks comfortable and I agree the belt looks like fun to replace.

Flipping the belt over took away the vibration. The belt tensioner would have been my next thing to look at.

good news. you would think the tensioner would also be the thing the dealers would go after when people have belt issues or slipping of the belt. You should be a Scag mechanic

Do any of your idler pulleys have a belt guide rod? Replacing a 36" Zcat belt.

We found the same issues with the gator blades. Seems like you're always working on that SCAG. Don't you get ANY support from your dealer?

That mower is always got something wrong with it. I do most all of the repairs myself because I don't have time to take it to the dealer every week to fix stupid stuff. The Tiger Cat was not a good purchase it just can't handle the amount of work that we put it through. We should have bought the Turf Tiger

The belt on my Cheetah does the same thing. 61 velocity FX921.... That’s the reason I’m looking up vids. It Doesn’t appear to affect the mowing. I’m mystified.
