The SCAR does have a very unique feel. The recoil is really soft and smooth. For some reason I always think of it as walking on sand, whereas other guns are usually like normal pavement.

The Scar didn't pick up the next round "malfunction", because it was on the suppressed gas setting. That's also why it was shooting so soft. I'm actually surprised it was feeding so consistently! When my Scar is on the suppressed setting, it almost never picks up the next round.

He talks about the recoil being so tame on a 5.56.. Well yea when you compare 5.56 with 7.62x39 of course it seems like that. But it would be a much more fair comparison with the 5.56 scar and a ak74 chambered in 5.45x39

The AK was never meant to be precise and ergonomic. It was meant to be mass produced by low wage factory workers and fired by peasants, and to keep firing until the last human being on the planet has expired. And to be fair it does all of those things excellently

A rather modern rifle like the SCAR should be compared to a modern AK. You should get your hands on a Krebs Custom AC-15 or get some Circle 10 AK upgrades for your old companion!

I think this is Yugoslavian/Serbian "Zastava M70".. It is kinda modified.

Best thing is there is still no match for the AK-47 even though it's a pre cold war weapon. Maybe others are sexy, got some nice comfort feature but when it comes to damage and durability both hands down to AK 👏👏👏

Both are ultimate but go to legendary AK If you go with modern AK it has upgraded much and its much dangerous than previous and also accurate and modern AK have all this qualities go for AK ALFA AK 400 AK 12 AK 15 AK 208 AK 308 AK 105 and even more are there now the problems are solved including heavieness recoil accuracy

Why compare a 5.56 to a 7.62?

In my case the AKs are my favourite weapons. 1°--- AK-107 2°--- SCAR-H 3°--- M4A1

No point to Scar 16 better comparison would be Scar 17.

The SCAR was designed with SOCOM in mind, the 7.62 model also has little to no recoil as well (The AR type platform was modular but lacked reliability and why not make ergonomics better?). It's also very durable and able to handle rough conditions. I want to buy one, but it's a little outside of my pay grade XD (If I were to buy one, I'd get the SCAR 17; love the hard hitting 7.62x51 round)

From what I can see, you were shooting the SCAR in the suppressed gas setting. This may have been the reason for the feeding issue - not enough gas to cycle the action properly.

AK : I have been watching opponent's propaganda since my birth.

I’m glad you like it 🙂 it has been a massive succes for us. Not as much as our machineguns or the FAL but the SCAR are well liked by many nations. Our entire army is replacing their FNC’s (wich are also excellent rifles) they are based on the AK and M16, taking the advantages of both systems and put into one. Being the reliable operating system of the AK and the 5.56 round and magazine comptability with the M16. The SCAR is basically a 21st century application of our FNC. Our Army uses them in tan and the special police units get the black variants. A friend of mine completed infantry training and will be sent to Libanon in september with his brand new SCAR, he said the H variant shoots nice as well. But he has the L variant with the std barrel. He prefers the FNC for longer range shooting, it feels more stable. But the SCAR is more comfortable and allows for a lot of customization. But they are expensive yes, in the US they might go from 3000-5000 USD. But the parts are finished to fine tolerances and the engineering that went into the rifle is top notch. They are quite reliable as well, maybe not as much as the AK or FNC but it came very close second to the HK416 during tests conducted by SOCOM for their next rifle. Firing well over a million rounds in all kinds of circumstances.

Why AK-47 is popular in India, Pakistan and China and also Africa, its because they have terrain with big forest and ups and down, small hills. They mostly engage at 300-400 meters and AK-47 delivers the bullet effectively at this distance. Plus 5.56 bullet start tumbling if it even hit a branch of a tree but AK-47 bullets ignores every small object. Pakistan also made PK-18 which is way effective and way lighter than AK-47. it uses 7.62 x 51mm rounds and it is just basically an AR-15 with 7.62 x 51 mm. This gun is awesome.

Brother ! You said you liked the AK better but your eyes can't lie!!! I own a 17 also AKs ARs and the new Rock River PDS pistol here is how they line up.. In a combat situation SCARheavy then RRA PDS SBR suppressed then AR15 Noveske.. Last AK the AK is only as good as the mag. You hear a lot about how they run but here to say I see them fail to fire many time because of different problems.. But Great video..

AK wins because 1: Has larger round (means more punch) 2: can survive any terrain and torture test. 3:almost impossible to jam.
