I take my hat off to you Shaun. I planned a full renovation last weekend, front on Saturday, back on Sunday. Spent 6.5 hours on the front on Saturday and I was done in. There was so much moss I was having to rake as I went so the scarifier could get through, filled the garden bin and 5 compost bags (50 litre) with the waste. Manually aerated with a hollow tine fork, over seeded and top dressed with a soil/compost mix. It's only a 25ft x 15ft lawn but I had to sack the back garden off for next weekend.😂😂 I don't know how you do it mate but cheers for giving me the motivation to get started.👍

This is exactly what I've been wondering. I have a fairly large lawn (400m2) and can't afford to overseed and topdress so have held off scarifying. But now I feel confident I won't destroy the grass! I just hope it doesn't invite weeds to fill the gaps! Thanks for the great explanation! Last question. Can you do scarifying like this anytime of year or best in spring and autumn?

Hi Shawn, always Make it look easy mate👍🏻 Renovated my lawn 5 weeks ago and it's now had 2 cuts , few small areas grass is going yellow ( freah blades) think it needs some nitrogen and first feed...what's you professional opinion?

Curious not to good with lawns , silly question , will the new seed patches grow to a different light hue green color compared to original existing grass sometimes a see two tones lawns or do they just general all blend together evenly over time ,

Only just now finding your videos so forgive me if im repeating questions. Are there general tests to see if you need to scarify or dethatch? Ive been here 9 years (ny) I always wanted to dethatch bc i almost never bagged . Got a bagger but my yard is so large. Only just now hearing the term scarify. Now i dont know what to aim for first 😅 I never seeded or fertilized bc of cost. Roofers left ruts. Yard is getting bummpy and extra weedy over the years. Not sure what to start with on a low budget 🫠
