@@kinjalbhar3296 The whole schmidt thing is all fake confidence, cause he has no real self confidence. That's the comedy side this character has, but the line itself is actually meant to be extremely deep to show that the character itself is not just shallow.
This is why women go for “confident” men. You don’t have to be macho or aggressive or strong, you just can’t hate yourself. Because she is supposed to love you, and your self hatred degrades “her taste” and her sense of self confidence.

I know every time I watch this episode or any episode where he is dating cece its just so very very weird. Its like my favorite shows are coming together.
I had thought that Cece/Hannah's looks had never really changed since the beginning of the show but now watching these scenes again, I'm surprised to see that I was actually wrong lol
For me it’s Jess but sadly I never saw her growth. I feel like she slowly got lost as a character. J loved her more in the beginning than towards the end. Everyone changed but her 🥲

I feel really bad for Schmidt. He's always hated himself, so it's hard for him to trust anybody who likes him. So if someone treats him well, it's suspicious. But if someone is mean to his face, like Benjamin, he accepts his openly as "friendship," because at least they're being honest to him.
