Hi Karena, your videos are really helpfull, thank you very much. It's a little confusing when you talk about the hip protusion. I think is better to refer about the concavity or convexity of the lumbar or thoracic area. When standing my right hip is lower so my lumbar convexity goes to the right on L2,L3 and my left hip protudes. When I lay on my right side, I set a pillow between my right hip and ribs in the area of the convexity, letting the hip and the thoracic area to hang stretching the left lumbar and right thoracic. I think it is very important to know which section is curved becaus every case is different.

Yes Karena, I got it and thank you so very much! I really do feel your work is quite brilliant. Have ordered your webinars and props. You will receive a note from me on your website as well, giving you a little bit of background as to my 21 year history and plight with pain and imbalances. I've always felt I needed asymmetric rehab. Gratitude! Robyn

Thank you for such wonderful video education. If I may ask, you mention in the second half that some have a right thoracic scoliosis, and yet on the lumbar they might also have convexity to the right (is that correct)? So it would be a right rib bump - and also a protruding hip to the right? How common is this curve pattern I wonder? Also, are your scoliowedges available for sale at this time? Appreciate your excellent program and am awaiting your book!!

I have an indentation on my right side, above my right hip, and a bump in rib above. S-Curve The lower left side of my spine has the sand dune. However, my right hip protrudes and comes forward. I always thought that I should lie on left side, but with the protruding hip, on the right, should I lie on my right side?

Hi Karena, thank you for your videos they have been really helpful so far. I have one question though, I know I have an double curve Scoliosis, and like you my upper spine convexity is to the right and my lumbar is to the left. What is confusing me is when I look at my hips in the mirror, it seems it is my right hip that is protruding. This seems strange and is making understanding which side to do the exercises on quite confusing! Which side does it sound like I should be lying on? I do my side planks etc on my right side. Thank you!

Layna Duggan HI, Layna! You are perfectly describing a 4-curve scoliosis. It just means you have a "bonus" curve. Our bodies so perfectly balance any changes and curves. That balance sometimes results in 3 curves and sometimes that results in 4 or even more. It's certainly nothing to worry about, though. You just need to thank your body for so perfectly balancing you out. Because without the compensatory curves you would end up standing on your head. ;-) Please check out the videos for 4-curve scoliosis. And please accept my apologies for taking so long to get back to you. We have been traveling-teaching and generally trying to keep our heads above water for the last 3.5 weeks. Sending you my best, K

Dear Karena, the curvature my spine is doing normally is: a big bump in right chest outwards, a curve in the left waist, a curve in the neck to the left and my left hip goes forewards. How can I wedge in sidelaying, in laying on my back and on my body front face? Would love your guidence - your scolio wedges have arrieved and i am redy to get to know how to use them, Simone

Hello, Simone. Message me directly via Messenger and we can chat more. Also, I know you are working with one of our practitioners in Germany. I will need to have her send me the assessment of your spine to answer your question. However, I believe she will easily be able to answer your questions. But definitely let me know how I can help!

These videos have been really helpful but sometimes I'm worried I assume I have the wrong side. How do I know which number of scoliosis I have? The docs just said 'scoliosis' no further info. I have not been able to figure out which hip protrudes but it's my left rib that goes forward.

+Lydia Crumpacker Hi, Lydia. It's not easy to figure out which direction your curve goes. Definitely not something that can be figured out via our online chat. In general, if the left rib goes forward, then the right goes back. Xrays are really the best way to find out where everything is going. I'm glad the exercises have been helpful!
