The cross section was great & the illustrations of the air & gas flow! But the stock sizes for jets isn't the same as in another video you have about tuning--in this you say 35 & 108 or 110, but another video you list 32 & 75 as stock.... Also would be great to clarify it this is a slide carb or CV type (2 or 4 stroke engine)!

I really enjoyed your explanation of how the carburetor works. I have a question. I've replaced the carburetor and auto enricher but I have a problem. To get my motor to idle at startup, I have to adjust the idle screw to increase the rpm's. After the motor warms up, around 2 minutes, the rpm's increase and the idle is too fast. I thought the idle is supposed to go down after the auto enricher is fully extended. I have the exact opposite happening with my motor. Can you help me please? I have all of the different sizes for the main jets as well as the idle jets. Could changing them fix my problem?

Hello Rick Yes you completely right idle is supposed to go down after the auto enricher is fully extended but did you take the enricher out and test that to make sure is working properly you need to get a reading of 11 to 23 ohms on a multimeter that is the first thing that comes to my mind second I will check the voltage that goes to the enricher should be from 11.5 to 12.3 volts from the alternator your main jet should not be a problem but I will keep a 107 to maximum of 115 main jet just for testing but that I don't think is the problem, check if the pilot jet inside the carburator is clean spray some carburetor cleaner everywhere in all the jets also in the all of the enricher and last make sure that the vacuum line that goes to the top of your carburator is connected and the rubber is not broken. I hope this can help you but don't give up until you find the problem. Thank you for watching my video

Hello to set gas and air mixture you need to tight the little screw that is on the left side of your carburetor all the way in and them back up the screw 3 quarter turn Thank you for watching my video

Can the smaller idle jet be poked through with one of those motorcycle needle tools to clean the passages or is the hole too small on the jet to use that tool?

What cause the carb to flood engine over rough terrain? On pavement my gy6 kart runs excellent except if i slam a curve real hard or hit rough terrain. If i shake the carb side to side by hand fast it will cut out too so i know its not wiring issue

Hi, the part mentioned at 2:30 that connects to the vacuum line to the manifold with a small diaphragm inside, on mine I took that part off when cleaning out the carb and I was unable to blow through the elbow of the tube that comes off (the whole metal cap part with the L bend on it). I was unsure what this part was supposed to be doing, hence why I found and watched your video. My question is, how tight is the gap here, should I be able to blow through it myself (human breath strength) or is it so tight that only the engine forces would affect it. The reason I was cleaning out my carb is because I have been having issues with a cold start and staying on idle. To start I have to really throttle it and then keep the revs up or it will die on idle. I'm no mechanic but have fixed a few things on my bike now. Thanks

Is the carburetor need 12v direct power supply? I have a bike with old carburetor but I want to replace that with gy6 carburetor but don't know how to deal with the automatic choke power. So is there any solution?

Hello. My carburetor for my GY6 Scooter has a Dummy vacuum port on the Right side of the carburetor. The tube for the vacuum hose is sealed and under the plate there is no holes for for a vacuum. I have changed the petcock to an On and Off switch and do not see a need for the vacuum hose. Do you have any advice on this situation? Thanks! Clint

Hello Clint in the port on the top right you should have a little diaphragm that help the carburetor but if you do not have anything look like your scooter works better without that so plug the nipple at the manifold and test your scooter after you place a new fuel line. Hi I just changed my carb out since the stock one was sealed. I put in 115/38 jets. Tried to start it and it started but then died. I changed the jets to 110/35 and it started up. Rode it around for a few mins, turned it off. But then it had difficulty starting again. Any ideas what could be wrong? 169cc, live at sea level

Hello my friend if you do not connected the enricher your scooter always be at higher rpm but if you connect the enricher the plunger will close the extra flow of fiuel but you can always buy a chocker conversion kit for 24 mm carburetor

virberello GY6 Scooter Tips I believe it is. It’s of a Chinese dune buggy but it almost exactly I denticle but it has a few more inlets on the side and I was trying to see which are vaccine and which are just open. Thank you !

Hello MK On most 150cc scooters, idle speed should be around 1500rpm when the engine is fully warmed up. Don't make adjustments when the engine is cold. Take a 5 or 10 minute ride first but more or less is 3.5 turns in but sometime in some carburetors that can change. Thank you for watching my video

@@texxmex266 Hello Rudy it does not take to long to fill up the carburetor bowl around 1 to 2 minutes did you do a fuel valve petcock test ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wxPrBO9qRVg.html to make sure your fuel flow free from the tank to the carburetor did you check the vacuum line and make sure is connected with the manifold

Hello Tom not to familiar with 107cc but should be a 95-110 main jet if you live at higher altitude you go down in size. Thank you for watching my video
