And that one game against the Indiana Pacers where he discarded two free throws And if he had done this, the Bulls would have led 3 to 1 in the series and then would have gone to Chicago. And then probably would have ended the series. So it turned into a barely 7 game series that the Bulls almost lost. And there were a number of other games where he didn't perform, in the outgoing game or in the crucial phase of the series.

probably you are correct, but that hypothetic victory would only be possible in a match-up from 96 onwards, any fictitious duel prior to that would lack both Pippen and Harper from the Bulls core. (according to a comment I just saw around here haha -- reference: Mo Betta).

Harper didn't join the Bulls until 94-95, and even with him the Rockets backcourt depth probably would make him less effective than usual. The Bulls would've also had to worry about Cassell and Elie not just Smith and Maxwell. Plus Horry would probably have a pretty big defensive impact guarding Pippen who did a lot of the ball handling, Horry was an off ball offensive player so he was less likely to be fatigued down the stretch compared to Pippen.

The thing is Harper and rodman weren't with the bulls in 94-95. The bulls had Jordan, Paxton and Armstrong while the rockets has Maxwell, Smith and Cassell

@Jason Allen in his defense he explained that side of the argument as well. However you approached this reactively, which is attention with preconceived bias. It's not the worst kind of attention, but difficult to reason with.

MJ is gonna score no matter what, however Maxwell and Elie could at least make him work hard getting them. Horry was also a great defensive player himself he's 17th in playoff blocks and 13th in steals overall, people are so used to his clutch shooting reputation they forget his defensive ability. The center matchup on the other hand is a big time mismatch the Bulls were usually pretty good at handling power players in the post, entirely different story playing against a skilled post player.

Yea the biggest issue in all of this is the absence of Rodman. It all boils down to the speculation that Hakeem would have beaten the bulls virtually by himself. The Bulls back court would put the Rockets back court in a grave, if you think other wise your'e just delusional. Would have came down to who performed better, Jordan or Hakeem, because both of them were far better than the players on the other team in those positions

Shaq had not reached his prime yet in his 3rd season and Penny never reached his prime due to injuries. They were really good in their 2nd and 3rd year but not good enough, mainly cause they didn't have the experience.

Here's the thing. After 1993 jordan never scored 60 points in a game again. So right off the bat youre wrong. As well, in 1993 the bulls lost both times to the rockets. AS WELL jordan did play in 1995 and got swept by the magic who got swept by the rockets in the finals. Jordan is the GOAT and the best player by far. That being said, I think the Rockets take it in 1994. Hakeem was DPOY, MVP, and eventual FMVP. Nobody has ever had a year as good as that.

Yes I agree with you however the finals are an entirely different animal. Whenever the finals are concerned Michael turns into a completely different person. They couldn't stop Hakeem but they certainly couldn't stop jordan because he would go off.
