I really hate the no sugar stuff. It tastes terrible for me. The standard tastes far better in my opinion. If it tastes the same for you, enjoy the benefits!
Yet HSV builds then from everything made to suit the australian conditions ie: all the guts of the imported car is taken out, wiring and seats door trims dash everything and then make it a right hand drive, but leave the center console as is, like you said for the left hand drive version. cheers :) they had the dash moulded for right hand drive, but could not afford the center console re molded to suit the right hand drive units ?
@@Studat your welcome to buy a overpriced shoe box like the camaro, that has no room for your balls to breath. The Fgx has the same motor as the mustang only better. The Zf gearbox is 10 times better that cheap 10 speed. That low tech rubbish will always get you from a to b not like this crappy camaro This is nothing but trying Americanise Australia
How many of the people commenting have actually driven one of the converted Camaros? This review is a joke. He only makes a handful of comments about the car then just repeats them. A very one sided review that in most part is inaccurate.
He didn’t mention You have a switch on the middle console to select the drive setting you want , you can choose touring mode which softens the suspension and steering. Also you can select the sound on the exhaust you can make it louder or put it in stealth mode and keep it very quiet . I use it as a daily driver and have no complaints.
Ford Mustang and even German built Ford Focus’ manage to have the indicator on the right (right) side. Indicators on the Left piss me off in any car because it makes me feel the car isn’t properly engineered. At least Japan builds right hand drive cars.
Ive driven one in hawaii. It was awsome handled great power was plenty. Didnt have any issues with any of the different driving option like track option on the road . I didnt find it was to noisy or had road noise, was super comfortable sitting in too. The tourque felt awsome driving and being an auto i found it had better shifting and was quicker than using the paddle shifting through gears as they felt slightly laggy.
@@STREETMACHINETV i actually work at walkingshaw and do the conversion i do find they are quite rigeded on test drives. the 2019 model is supose to adress this issue though i havn't driven one yet but i will let you know when i do.
camaro or a vf series 2 clubsport roughly the same price which one?. The stiff hard ride is my only concern with the camaro but other than that it looks good.
Scotty, Holden made the mistake of calling the new 'Commodore' a Commodore which was not appropriate. This Camaro is not really a HSV, its a Chevy, so Holden have done the right thing this time around! HSV too lazy to even swap the console over to fix the cupholder issue....... Forget HSV :-(
@Mitch09 Yeah i'm aware of that, i'm more talking about us car enthusiasts then the average person. I also understand that many people do like the auto's especially in XR6 turbo's and F6's because they're "faster" but i feel like it just lacks some of the involvement and fun factor for the street if you get what i mean
Dont mind the 6th gen camaro but I wouldn't have it not because of the poor visibility nor the no manual option nor the fact the rear seats are useless or the impracticality of the cup holders but the deal breaker the indicator stalk is on the wrong side.
@fomocoboy what v6 you muppet. Also in a technician by trade so i know a hell of alot unlike you know absolutely nothing. Ford are a bogan cars even a barra is rubbish needs a turbo because without it those engines are gutless . . And no oil cooler will fix a biult to fail slugamatic transmission . You haven't a clue kid or manchild
It hasn't got HSV badges because it's a Chevrolet, marketed as a Chevrolet and sold as a Chevrolet.HSV are the conversion company. Why would it have Holden Special Vehicle badges when it's not a Holden.
Negatives: No manual option, left hand blinkers, only one trim level offered, interior designed for LHD, not made in Australia, bumpy ride, made from a company that has been bankrupted in recent years, layed off thousands of their employees. Overall reliability status is hit and miss at best. Positives: Powerful RWD V8, Good handling. Hmm.. Should I buy this car?? Hahaha
2018 1ss manual in Usa 37500usd , 2ss auto with exhaust upgrade and sunroof $46,000usd without taxes in Usa . Then its taxed here $18,000 then add Dealer delivery tax $2500 . Its priced with a Bmw m240 in Usa . Not as cheap as people think
The executives at HSV are kidding themselves with their pricing. They naively think they aren't competing with the Mustang when that is exactly what everyone compares them to! And the price of the ZL1 1LE.... what are they thinking?
Well actually no. Before Holden decide to create an acronym they should have done some research. The original acronym stands for H erpes S implex V irus
Come on guys, you need to get it together .. You really need to get a sponsor for this. And get a decent 4wd chase rig and some professional camera gear. If mighty car mods can get supercheap, I'm sure you guys can get someone in the performance aftermarket that will give you what you need. but you've been doing this for too long to have those rookie mistakes man
i just bought one of these a few months ago, great car by Chevrolet, but a shitty conversion by Holden, and as far as the suspension goes, i just upgraded from a BRZ, the Camaro is like being on a cloud in comparison.
these are just the test bed to see if the Australian market will buy em, if they do well then we'll get factory rhd and manual option :D 90k price tag will hurt em more than these few little issues will , other good thing is price will drop on the factory rhd ones dramatically.
HSV have the guts to try something new ,just to remind everyone this is not a family sedan but a capable sport's coupe.Ihope all the best to HSV and it's future since our gutless politicians allowed the closure of our car industry in Australia.
So to recap, - Cup holders are shit - Banging on about the suspension stiffness - V8 is fast but only auto - Useless comment about the steering wheel I understand this was only meant to be a video to accompany what is probably a magazine review, but it really didn't need to be 6 minutes long. It could have been a much better video for 6 minutes showing a lot more stuff.
It's not an HSV, it's a Chevy Camaro with a RH drive conversion done by HSV. Clearly suspension tuning is still as per US. Definitely not worth the $30K premium unfortunately.
You have to remember it is not a HSV it is only a Chevy Camaro that has been converted across to the right hand side, HSV are not even doing the conversion on them, they might be sold as a HSV but they are not, what did HSV do to build this car, hmm nothing.
@@wobblysauce Can't compare from a video but my old skyline use to pick up a wheel going up driveways on an angle, on that road it was just a matter of wait to see what direction the bumps point you, not great suspension for the road.
Im glad they havent fucked with it by putting stupid hsv or holden badges all over it. It makes it into a car that i would actually buy. Previously on the Commodore they were just making the badge bigger n bolder for a look at me type scenario.. fuck that
That money for the Old generation camaro and a baseline one at that, this is the SV6 Commodore of America and if they found out what you paid for it you would be Crucified
There is a reason it doesn’t say HSV anywhere on it. Yeah if you wanna buy a HSV you want the badge but you are not buying a HSV. Come on street machine, you would expect you would have done your research first, or that you would know what you are talking about. It is a Chev Camaro. Not HSV! The HSV badge is only under the bonnet as they are the importers and do the conversion. That’s it. Chev’s mandate is that it would not be called anything else. I can tell you first hand that any HSV dealership that sells it must also display the Chev logo somewhere as well. Don’t do that no selling the Camaro. HSV are not permitted to put their badges anywhere because it is not their car. Ford were able to do the manual because they are the importer. HSV could not import any manuals at this stage. Have said there is potential in the future.
The centre console issue is just pure laziness. It's setup for Left hand drive only. Why did they not swap the centre console around for the right hand drive market? GM being as lazy as possible. Get your act together GM.
