SCP-079 Is Extremely Overpowered, And Here's Why ( SCP Secret Laboratory, Scopophobia Update ) 

Let’s be real here he is the most dangerous Scp but he needs his team to reach his full potential

079 is the only SCP that has any kind of learning curve in the game. Literally EVERY other playable SCP has one or two gimmicks that need only a round or two to get used to. Whereas truly getting a hang of the mechanics of computer takes a fair amount longer than that. 079 is also the only SCP that is totally dependent on his team to win. You cannot directly kill anyone as computer, except through tesla gates, and you're never going to win a round with those alone. You are nothing without your team. Therefore, coordinating with and assisting your team is of critical importance. Having that kind of communication is itself a special skill no other SCP needs to have. You cannot solo as computer. To be a truly fearsome computer, you have to be good at both the mechanics of computer itself AND communicating to your team. Particularly, being able to use the map to quickly and precisely direct teammates to specific rooms from the room they're in, while they're moving without you, is a skill that takes a long time to master. *TL;DR:* Being good at 079 takes a while and requires close, clear, and concise communication, which not everybody is great at.

Once there were 12 (or so) MTF trapped in nuke room and chaos spawned. I opened the nuke room door and instantly got lvl 4 from lvl 2

Oh, I noticed you haven’t used computer to his fullest potential, you can cut a few seconds by clicking space, it lets you turn faster and it follows your mouse instead of following the sides, it’s quite helpful.

When the pc sees you and you hear an scp nearby, you pretty much know that you're done for.

Honestly, I've never thought that he was weak until this recent version where he can get the white noise glitch that completely cripples him. I've understanded how important he is for awhile now. But , unlike most people I do it because screwing up peoples day is the funniest part about him!

I used to hate playing 079 but after having a really good game with him I finally realized how much fun he was, he is now one of my favorite scps to play.

I love playing Computer, and pretty master it, so I give u a good strat: 1st: Find out what your mates are, this affects everything, because depending on ehat and where they are, your actions at the beginning can vary, such as freeing 173 instantly, killimg all Guards with dogs/ making them all to Zombies! You name it! 2nd when you got all the basic info, check the Map, send your mates on the way, and follow quick! Getting Kills and XP fast is KEY! 3rd: Make sure to trap as many people in one place ( SCP 914), and keep it locked, and refresh the Locking, since the XP gain only works when you recently Interacted with a close door! Then, just get your team to go ham! Shy guy is best for sweeping, next is doc then Dog! Peanut is shit, and requires darkness to get kills fast, and Larry gives 50% XP, and a chance that people escape, probably even with an 05 and killing Larry! As soon as the First Sweep is done, admire the LV. 2 or 3 Status, and then go on a Hunt! Clean up the Pesky humans, as fast as possible! Of everyone Notices a lag Spike, Check the Map, if Chaos have spawned! If so, set your team on high alert, Chaos often want to and will kill the SCP's simply because they were killed by them... but if they show no ill intentions, you can ignore them (unless you want XP badly), but keep an eye on them, if they try to smuggle someone out,since 1 D-boy escape makes it a win for them (which personally is Bullshit, win Conditions really need a rework)! If NTF happen to Spawn, try setting up an ambush! Since MP2, PC can aldo darken entrance Zone, so use that to your advantage! 2 People behing a Locked door with your mates is enough, 2 people killed and more XP, dont try and be greedy, the more they are, the more are likely to have grenades, and destroy your doors! A few last Tips: 106's Chamber: You need to be Lv.2 to open his Chambet, because it needs at least 110 Power to open, and also it cant be Locked, or grenaded at least... but what you can do is make a Blackout, since it blocks all doors, it actually affects Larrys Containment, blocking it from people coming in! Entrance Zone: There are 3 Types of Office Rooms in EZ: The Shelve room (also Locker room, it can Spawn 2), the Computer Office, and the Looping Room Office! Always bring 2 SCP's (not including PC) if people are trying to loop there! SCP's cannot catch up there, and bmocking doors is irelevant if they run i circles!

079 is the most team-oriented scp. You will do almost nothing without some form of communication. With every other scp you can go on your own and do perfectly fine if you play smart, which is why 079 is probably at this stage of power.

The first time I played 079 I was pretty confused, but liked it. I love to play him since then, it's my favourite thing in the game.

ALSO with some generators on, your power returns quicker, meaning even if people are trying to kill you, its making you stronger- even to the point that you can just have a tesla gate continuously on

As a person who uses scp079 this is sorta true as if you have a bad team coordination it will be difficult for 079 but when you have a team with good coordination it’s really strong

I agree. My second time playing as him ever (I stopped playing and watched vids on how to play as a big brain) The D-class, scientists and facility guards were all in light first minutes and went to 914. After some coordination with 106, 096, and 939 the server finished as an SCP victor in 5 minutes 35 seconds and literally two seconds right after the last D boi in nuke room died MTF spawned. It was my quickest round ever, so far.

079 my my favorite class when at least two other scps to team with, and when 096 doesn't break all my doors

I always loved playing as scp 079. And now that i know about some stuff i didn't know before like MTF and Chaos can give tons of EXP.

Theres a reason they added a auxiliary power which takes forever to refill But they can make the cameras vulnerable to damage/bullets and it would like temporarily disable

This video is a really nice overview of the potential of 079, the only thing i dislike is the use of the word 'overpowered', which would be to say 079 is too powerful at too low a skill and needs a nerf, while I think you were only trying to showcase his strengths. Great video, please don't nerf 079.

When 079 was just released, I was able to hold MTF off for 30 minutes. It was either my superior intellect, or their absolute inaptitude.

Ideas: Make a room in heavy containment that contains scp-079 BUT must be accessed by a high level keycard. Shoot or grenade 79 to 'contain' it. And cameras and speakers can be destroyed. In turn: Add a room in heavy containment that spawns drones. Drones cannot attack and are fragile with 200 hp but are OK fast. Also they can run out of battery after 2 mins. They must be hand controlled. You can lock doors and do everything you can do in camera mode. You can press a button to self destruct. Add teslas that zap everything. 79 can turn then off and on. Teslas can can be destroyed. Zaps everything, including scps. Insta kills. Always in a T intersection or cross. Add turrets. Two varieties. Both 400 hp. A grenade launcher and a machine gun. Shoots at scps, CI and D bois in default. Can hack to attack all but scps. Can be hand controlled. Grenade launcher has 4 Ammo and machine gun has 40 Ammo. And hand control DRAINS your energy.

Something alot of people miss with 079 is you can bait people into intercom/nuke control/106 containment (if you dont have a 106),lock them in and the other scps can just come kill them at their leisure.

I got 079 two games in a row and it was a perfect example of how 079 can be great with a team. Game 1 we had a doc, dog, and penut and we were orginised. I was telling everyone the map layouts and who was left were and got them into 914, etc. We destroyed that game. Game 2 we had a penut and a doc without a mic and the penut was just getting trolled while the Ds escaped. Game went terribly bad even when we worked together to try and black out rooms. So essentialy, 079 is like medic from TF2, incredibly useful and powerful, but if you have a bad team, you're useless.

079 is not overpowered and here’s why: It does it’s job. There’s no reason for it to be nerfed. You have to actually know how to play 079 properly and unless you have someone that knows what their doing. For the blackout part, they added an update where if you have a flashlight anywhere you are able to stop 173 from moving. Some people also yes are stupid and don’t use the generators, but in almost every single game I moderate in the generators are turned on. People aren’t as stupid as you think. 079 obviously is a computer and shouldn’t have any status effects such as blinded or concussion (but they should change the way you can still see people with their hat on). Personally I prefer when the server has the mod where the computer can use console commands to like memetic kill or flash bang I wish that mod was used more it makes people like pc more and it makes the learning curb much smoother

but technicly he is the only scp that cant survive the nuke, yes he can help others turn off the nuke more effectively, but he cant survive it going off. and he dies from being the only scp. Which depends on which server his method of dying is different from each server. (But most of the time servers don’t mess with it.)

And when you are an experienced computer player and want to do some good teamwork with your teammates they don’t even listen to you and later they ask “do we have a computer? “

It’s difficult to get used to him due to the rng system, but once I did, I was consistently hitting tiers 4-5 pretty early in the game, easily one of my favourite characters.* Edit: Correction, he IS my favourite character.*

I think nothwood must add a skill like echolocation - create a high pitched sound which will make you see where is everyone at where ever you want on your map but it will only be effective at one zone

one thing that i think makes computer balanced is that he is a team scp he needs good teammates to be useful if you have god teammates you have won but if not that is what makes it fair

Plot twist: we are a security guard from fnaf and we using scp-079 to troll people

2 Things: Generators: If people search out and activate generators really depends on the server you play on. On my regular, the majority of people do go after generators when possible, and out of human computer kills, the nuke only makes up about 20% of kills while overcharges fill the other 80%. SCP Teamkilling (or ‘teamkilling’ as described here): Do you hear one of your scp buddies in trouble and have no way to help them? Are they screaming in agony as their health percentage drops to the single digits? Just toggle a door near them and enjoy some free experience off of their agonizing death!

Only things that didn't age well was the Tesla gate because it doesn't insta kill anymore and the gaining exp from humans killing each other. So now 079 is a more teamwork oriented SCP who is also my favorite to play as. And also his cameras can now temporarily be disabled by the ghost light

Almost everytime i try to be a good Computer i get shitty teammates that don't talk at all. Other times I only have 939 who dies on a Tesla. Hubert pls delet 939 till rework

If I could play this game, I would love to play as SCP - 079

SCP 0-79 has the potential to be the most lethal SCP. He's limited by a high skill curve and the fact that your team has to be competent. Experienced 79's can shut a whole match down while newbies can be absolutely worthless. You also have to understand the layers of the game with just comes with experience.

My first ever game on scp lab i got 079 I feel so bad for my team but luckily they were all understanding and the 939 helped me a lot thankfully

Fun fact Scp 079 has hp It depends on how many scps are in play,cause he wont die till either nuke is set off or all scps die So he has a hp of the total team

I had an insanely good game as computer with some good scp friends. I got to level 3 in 5 minutes from kills alone

i know 079 is powerful, but i don’t find him fun early on. late game he’s pretty fun due to his insane xp gain. also i wouldn’t day he’s “op”.

The one thing that would make computer almost unstoppable would be knowing the orientation of other SCPs on the map. Because then you could just tell the where to go without having to tell them to stop, or seeing them in the cameras

I think this is why Scp-079 doesn't effect with flash grenade is Bug I think. And also if player has hat and still see him as scp-079 I think it's also bug.
