One time at work, I called a customer 'Sir' and he said "Callin me sir is like puttin a red carpet before an outhouse. Just dont feel right." I guess some people just don't like it.

Being called sir makes some of us feel old, others might get uncomfortable if they don't feel worthy of the respect being shown.

And I get the impression that a lot of of NCOs don't like being called sir because that's what you call *commissioned* officers. As some sergeants will tell you, "I work for a living."
@TuntematonX

Those are the major reasons, but there are also local cultural reasons, especially in Europe and some of the former colonies or in strict hierachical cultures like Japan, that dictate who is or isn't a sir or equivalent. A historic example: In Finland if you are not the president, a minister, a member of the parliament, an NCO or CO of military personel talking to other members of the military or adressed personally with the highest level of formality, you are NOT a sir or madam. Referring to one's countrymen as Herra (Herr, sir, mister, Lord etc.) is probably the only faux pas that could be considered as a crude joke between friends at best and a deadly insult at worst. Even referring to another in plural is highly unorthodox unless the other party is over three decades older or an exception noted above. This dates back to the Finnish Civil War between the whites (I'll sum them up as the people of the Estates as capitalist is slightly inaccurate) and reds (the landless and the poor). Generally, servitude and serfdom (translated as landslavery) are not taken kindly ever since the Rus, the Moscovites, or just the Russians controlled Eastern Finland. With the landless living on the estates getting kicked out without an enforceable contract and the rural poor flooding the cities the people boiled over. War was waged, people were captured put into concentration camps to starve to death or just shot. Brother killed brother, parents their children, neighbours and cousins. After the whites declared victory and finally emptied their consentration camps, the new goverment and the president enacted broad social reforms to address the red's dissatisfaction. Thus, the USSR expecting the country to split in 1939 was not a complete pipe dream. After the nation was unified again, talking about the war became almost a taboo as no one wanted to revisit it expect to teach their children "that was pointless, dumb and immoral so don't do it ever again". I remember as an eight year old seeing a four panel comic during history class about a girl writing about the conditions of her brother in the camps and how he ate himself to death after being released, so they didn't skimp on carving it into the following generations. Thus, putting oneself or another above others is the only major faux pas in Finland. All the others are varitions of that notion. Foreigners are not expected to understand, so they are addressed with courtesy required by the language and get a "mostly" free pass.

The reason for the Faberge Eggs is likely because there are only so many of them and they are all prized possessions with only 57 eggs known to still exist, as the House of Faberge only made them from 1885 to 1917, likely stopping because the Bolsheviks nationalized the company in 1918.

One good use for the Butler would be to finding blindspots for security cameras or problems with containment facilities/procedures.

ive always enjoyed this one! Edit: About the sir thing, I don't partially enjoy being called sir. But I do agree that it is used mostly as a way of showing high regard and respect to someone. I just don't like it because it makes it seem like the person is elevating my level of importance, or making me out to be better then i am. So i just don't enjoy it, i wont stop someone from using it unless i start really not liking it, even then ill be nice about it

I recommend scp 6001 Avalon by the exploring series. It's a very interesting and wonders scp. A spoiler free description would be this: scp version of Marvel's 'What if' series.

@18:18 - Wrath: "Remember kids, D-Class is not good." One thing that remains consistent with the SCP Foundation...If you are assigned a 'D' then you're really 'F'ed. School's out. @22:25 - Mr. Deeds: "Now I do recommend you step back, as I would hate for my blood to soil your clothing." Now that's what I call *dedication* to one's profession. Either that, or he just didn't want to deal with laundering blood stains out of the clothes later...Apparently, he does seem to have some inkling that they already have janitors for doing the mopping because he doesn't think he'd be around to do it himself. The file *did* mentioned that the thief was acquired & assigned to D-Class. The irony would not escape me if it turned out that the D-Class "tested" with Mr. Deeds just happened to be the same grave robber that stole the hand-bell in the first place. Volgun wants a Pat On The Back Plaque, Wrath wants a Pat On The Back Plaque, there's no telling how many people would want to have a Pat On The Back Plaque. How about designing one to include with website merch?... 😉
@marmyeater

27:10- Unfortunately the Pat On The Back Plaque is a cognito hazard that causes bleeding from the eyes if any other than the owner view it in picture or video form. In person viewing is fine though.
