Yeeeeeeessssss Edit: So yeah, the name of the SCP is a reference to the Aristocrats joke. The "joke", or at least the common framework of it, basically goes as such. Alice has an idea for a play. She goes to Bob to pitch the idea to him. She describes a list of acts that begin somewhat innocuous, but quickly become increasingly disturbing and revolting, covering every sin and crime imaginable. By the end of it, Bob is horrified and sickened, but manages to ask her what she'd call such a play. Alice's answer? "The Aristocrats!"

Btw, that lady that taught Leopold that occult stuff with which he made this SCP species, is heavily implied to be a Sarkic. In other words, these malformed monstrosities are the result of Leopold the first dabbling in Sarkic flesh magic. The biggest clue is when Leopold uses the words "The Way of All Flesh". A term the Sarkics use for their religion/practices.

The Foundation is trying to destroy these beings. But the list they have of hives is only partial. I think the reason the Foundation keeps some of them alive is hope that they will tell where the rest of the hives are.

Whoever makes those models is either working thru some horrific trauma, needs therapy, or gets off on freaking people out.

You know what? I've never heard the joke surrounding the aristocrats, either. All I know is that Dad once told me it was an extremely dirty joke. "Life Undeserving of Life" is something of a special trigger to me. Dad and I have a shared interest in history and Grandpa was in the navy during WWII. Most of my family would have eventually qualified as "Life Undeserving of Life" thanks to physical and/or mental disabilities, being Catholic, being *poor,* or some combination of the above. Hell, the German side of the family is even the wrong *sort* of German.

Much of this is based from actual historical records about the Hapsburgs. For instance, they had married into noble bloodlines across much of Europe & eventually got to a point where severe inbreeding was taking its toll on royal & noble families across the region. Where that journal by Leopold the First described the inbred conditions of Charles the Second of Spain were historically correct, the autopsy on Charles revealed those conditions (heart the size of a peppercorn, etc) as confirmed by history. There's not much scarier than the possibility of a particular kind of horror that originates from known, recorded history...The "backstory" is already established in facts. It seems that, for this one, you not only need a copious supply of Brain Bleach™, but also multiple cases of Pepto Bismol™...
