Scrubs and sexism: where are the women leaders in Medicine?
This discussion was part of the Women in STEM Festival at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge: a national conference exploring the barriers and opportunities facing women in science studies and careers.
This fantastic session highlighted the extent of sexual harassment being endured by women in medical careers - over 90% of female doctors report having experienced it - yet only 10% of NHS trusts have policies around sexual harassment in the workplace. Panellists call for workplace equality training to break patterns of discrimination and urge women to remember that they are not the problem.

Co-founder of Women in Retina network and currently running Women in Retina Clinical Trials incubator to put more women on the path to becoming principal investigators, podium speakers, first authors and professors
