Given that obese patients that lose a lot of weight have dramatically lower leptin levels at the lower weights, would not leptin supplementation be helpful in maintaining their weight loss?
Her book on Callas is a disgrace and a disservice to Callas. I’m not the only one to say so. The reviews for her book are ruthless. Her inaccuracies are laughable. The Callas Estate should have it remove from shelves. I mean, she can’t even get Callas year of death right. 😂
Thank you for this. Wondering opinions on the best Estrogen patch? My doctor prescribed Vivelle Dot but my pharmacy handed me the generic Dotti. Would really love to hear feedback. Thank you!
I couldn't stand this video because it's blatant lack of transparency. The stories of women having a tough time at work , feelings if depression, anger , mood suicidal thoughts. The elephant in the room is how this affects women's relationship with their husbands or significant others. The impact of menopausal symptoms does not simply end with the woman. It's impact is felt via their personal relationships. Let's talk about how many divorces menopausal symptoms were responsible for. Let's talk about the poor treatment men have been in the receiving end of these menopausal women. The fact that this vital area was left unspoken but menopause at work was highlighted is self centered and quite frankly a joke and an insult. Why don't we ask the speaker how her husband felt as she carried on with her uncontrolled menopausal behavior. It was made clear that personality changes occured and not for the better. No accountability in this regard when talking about marriage and menopause and the destructive sword that is welded. Menopause , hysterectomy and divorce are all intertwined. Why not speak on that fact instead of talking about having to pee at work or being to tired to get a promotion. Omission of vital truths can be defined as a lie. A lie can be defined as malicious. This woman is a self serving joke and a coward for not speaking on the real impact that can turn lives and families upside down. Men with their problems are to blame for many things that go wrong in relationships. In the case of menopause , women are left to be accountable. Of course like all feminist propaganda , the hard truths that negatively impact an individual woman's value NEVER gets spoken about. This speaker is a coward and a liar by omission of the hard truth.
I'm about quarter way through listening. And whats just struck me thinking about Doctor Louise observation that menopause has a shameful, bad association about it. Is that i think Post Natal Depression has the same negative association about it... 🤔
How can we know if we have to use estrogeni only or both oestrogen and progesterone? (I’m almost 44, my period shifted from 28 to 22 days; very low mood, fatigue, brain fog, pain at joints.. I feel it’s a lack of oestrogen especially in regards to the sex drive and the very low mood) Thank you
So good to watch this I'm 69 I stopped sex with my husband because of my menopause, we are divorce. I have a male doctor whom has not been very good. I've waited a month for this appointment and am sure he wont help me tomorrow. I had 9,1/2 years on duloxetine, mirtazapine, witch made me so over weight and helpless It nearly killed me. Thank you for this post
34:01 tldr: Of course, the reason for the gender gap is social conditioning, the female individuals have no agency, no preferences, no character. Everything is constructed. Gender equality paradox disproved. Case closed.
How does Tibolone compares with a combination transdermal e + micronised progesterone? The goal is for bone health to prevent osteoporosis for a 58 year old without vasomotor symptoms.
There is more to menopause that women know and HRT is not the simple answer for some.i was bad a pubity and it got blamed on something else and now the menopause has nearly taken my life and has not been taken seriously, I was told I was too young for long enough so wasn’t tested and then when they did and tried me with estogen patches that’s when I knew I didn’t need estogen because it seriously affects my mental health, women are seriously suffering out there
Most women absolutely do not need estrogen patches, as we are in an estrogen-dominant environment these days. Sadly this is old-training that doctors are still operating from.
Do you know of any research showing that HRT started later in life( 70+) can reverse bone loss. There is so much side effect from meds to rebuild bones, I am wondering if it would be a more encompassing option. I am not seeing that option given to women who are past menopause and have not received HRT previously.... Joelle Dussuyer Acupuncturist SF and HMB
HRT started later in life sadly has some pretty high-risks associated with it, which is why doctors are usually hesitant. I would look into a Herbal based tea that is known for treating osteoporosis and bone density. MoonMaid Botanicals Herbal Spice has every herb in it chosen to benefit these exact things. Might want to check it out in the meantime until you can find a better alternative if you're preferring Western medicine recommendations.
I did not take HRT due to aggressive breast cancer in the family genetics. Went through menopause cold turkey. Used to go red as a tomato in some meetings when stressed and I just laughed it off and briefly explained it was hormone fluctuations. The participants in the meetings were very non judgemental so I never worried about hot flushes after that. The hot flushes and night sweats were annoying but I got through it with iced water drinks, humour and front opening garments so that when I overheated I could remove layers quickly. Jumpers had to go. If you have to go through the menopause cold turkey you can do it. If you can take the help of HRT then you will have an easier time but you can do it without the HRT if you have to for medical reasons. Good luck everyone.
Please have a look at what PETA have to say about HRT and the cruelty to the horses, mares, who are used to provide the hormones. I have come through menopause without HRT. It was tough at times. But I was determined to NOT cause suffering in order to ease any of my difficulties while going through a natural process. Thankfully it doesn't last forever. Good luck.
No, I wasn't lucky - I had a really harsh time for more than a decade.@@susanloffhagen7788 When you say 'biogenetical' treatment is natural - is it plant based? Also, women should be aware that no HRT is a miracle cure. I understand from reading medical articles that there are possible health risks associated with any HRT (even though a now infamous research paper from many years ago has since been found to be inaccurate more recent studies have found problems and side effects that should be openly disscussed here) Menopause is a huge challenge and really really rough on many of us. There is alot of encouraging information on alternative ways to ease symptoms naturally - through what we eat, emotional support, moving our bodies, finding joy and peace where we can - I found being outside and walking helped alot. Having said that, there were many many days that were just so tough. Good luck everyone and to you too Susan =) Like I said, it will eventually pass.
I learned a lot Watching your video. Was very Educational . Iam 52 years old my menopuse started wen i was 46 . Iam going try HRT patches. I still can't sleep. And have put on weight. I really need go bk too eat healthy again. Will it help My Arthritis . In time Arthritis The arthritis is a rarity in my family. .
No it doesn’t help with arthritis. Patches are brilliant. Have a cortisone injection for arthritis. It’s wonderful and may just starve off any operation
Try Mediteranian style eating for the arthritis - oily fish, sardines and salmon and good quality extra virgin olive oil can help. For sleep - I find gentle deep breaths, count up to 5 breaths, then start back at 1 to 5 again etc. It calms me down and quite often (not always) I drift off to sleep for at least a while. Not always perfect and not a miracle cure but at least I feel a bit better =) For hot flushes in bed I found wearing a terry toweling dressing gown helped and having dry night clothes and a towel right beside the bed allowed a quick dry off and change with as little disruption as possible. Hope that helps. Good luck =)
I’m 70 years old, celibate for many years and just started having bladder infections, burning raw vagina pain as well. Am I too old for HRT vaginal pills or creams? Love your videos! Desperately need help! Thank you!
I would look into MoonMaid Botanicals Vital V Wild Yam Salve. Many women apply this in their 70's as it's known to help with all-around vaginal discomforts without the risk that is associated with adding hormones / synthetics to the body. (Less risk of reactions.)
I’ve been taking .05 HRT for 8 years. After 7 years my periods came back every 2-4 weeks. I had a clean biopsy and they suggested at first doubling the estoegen then halfing it. Or indeed stopping it. 😅 Only the pharmacist listened when i told her they hadn’t a clue and what I wanted was additional progesterone. Recently all my symptoms came back and I’ve increased the estoegen and doubled the progesterone. Lucky to have got a trainee dr who just did what I asked without the shenanigans
Thank you. Can I use Premerin vaginal cream as adequate hrt replacement. Have and still have all symptoms of patient Laura. Please turn up the sound on this video.
Look up how Premarin made. If you're ok with the cruelty then go for it. IMO it's extremely unethical. The foals are killed off, the mares are kept pregnant as long as their life allows it and they don't get to move so the urine can be extracted. It's horrifying to say the least
