an unbeatable clone army is great until they decide that maybe they, the unbeatable clone army, should be in charge. Or if you make them devoid of free will they are just waiting for someone else to use them. Way more trouble than they're worth, tbh
I like following the Dune series but there’s bits I’m a little fuzzy on. Will the God Emperor of Dune story be a film or is it just gonna focus on Paul? Quite interested to see how they’d do Leto’s story.
Did he really say, "..since he didn't really love Chani.."? WTF man? that's all I can hear listening to it over and over... and that is one of the most insanely wrong thing I've heard in some of these Dune videos.
I tend to think the secret final boss of dune is Princess Irulan. Scytale is definitely more successful in the long term at oppossing the Atredies than any of his more noble counterparts though.
I always thought the tanks were awesome until then...Steel tanks or vats that they spoke "The Language of God" to to make scientific wonders. Not the comatose women of their society whose wombs they manipulated. The idea of Spice coming from there was extra gross.
@@shanenolan5625 the masters didn’t do the dirty work? Are you referring to the face dancers that returned from the scattering? Because the masters were involved with the conspiracy by the fact that Bi’jazz was there to implant Hayte’s order to kill Muad’Dib. And let us not forget the master’s hand in creating the who- I mean honored matres
@tgiacin435 no that's high profile glamour work . Dangerous yes but I mean cleaning sit piles or farming. Or guard duty . Remember in heretics of Dune ? Waff . Gives a description of the hierarchy. And there are more than 3 groups. And the twisted mentats aren't counted .
@@shanenolan5625 I wasn’t counting the twisted mentats. Technically the gholas would be the third. But then again none of the books go into detail about the other classes, but I do remember face dancers being the servant class, but then again, face dancers would be a Jack of all trades for different jobs. I would think they’re strength would increase if they took on a more hulking form like Scytale when he was guarding Edrich
"Alleged Extreme Feminism Chauvinism?" ... Ok two things here: 1. -Word You are looking for is Misandrism 2. -It is hardly alleged in the world of story, though I would argue it is more of a god-complex. Though there is no denying that they considered men as stupid and inferior -> so they did consider women from outside the group or lesser in the group's hierarchy. Same but to somewhat lesser degree goes for Face Dancers.
Who cares about Villanue milk toast Dune version? I only hear radio salience after the trailer of the new movie come out, an initial excitement and then nothing, and if that true Villanue really not cares about the chronology of Dune, the only part where there is a Face Dancer is prior the events of Dune, when Shaddam wanted to create his own version of spice with the help of the Tleilaxu, and he was deceived by one.
For a ghola Duncan Idaho to have been made, someone had to collect his cells or a Tleilaxu would have to receive them to grow in the tanks... I'd easily wager if Scytale is in the next Dune, it would be a small scene to set up Duncan's return in a future "Children of Dune" movie. Dune has actually become popular after all these years&for Momoa to shave off his beard, he must have a contract binding him to a few more films as Duncan.
@@patrickhayden7206 They not even did a proper world building in the last movie and you think that they would care about that small detail? Now they would introduce the Emperor and Irulan, something that they should have done in the previous movie, and now the story would make no sense whatsoever because of it.
@@TheKeyser94 I agree. The world building is lacking and they should've brought The Emperor and Irulan in from the start, along with mention of the Butlerian Jihad...He had to condense&edit it all to make it accessible to the masses. A streaming show with many seasons might've been better, but in no way would've made the same revenue. Like all the different versions, it has it's pros&cons.
@@patrickhayden7206 Is a movie of two hours and half long, the miniseries could do that, even added Shaddam and Irulan subplots in less of two hours in the first episode, and Villanue couldn't in over two hours? No, that is pure laziness, to be honest I really not care about the new Dune Part 2 movie, maybe I would download it, but only to put in my archive, I had the miniseries, and the Lynch version, the theatrical version and the fanmade edit that add the scenes that Lynch wanted in his movie.
@@TheKeyser94 They're all decent in their own ways and the time frames they were released. I was just super hopeful the newer Dune would finally get us a "God Emperor of Dune" film.
