What is the movie where Sean Harris is a prisoner in an orange jumpsuit, and bound to a chair. I saw it in a documentary about the unabomber, but i couldnt find it by the movienames at IMDB
I agree he is one of those actors who makes it look so easy when it is not! Based on this, his Lane in Mission Impossible is even more impressive because he is not like that in real life! He became one of the best bad guys in movie history!
I knew Sean many years ago as a young boy in Lowestoft, which is where he's from! I still have a pic of him and I, with him in his best James Dean pose (he was obsessed with him!) He was very close to my mother and father, he didn't have an easy life but was always so lovely. We have been so thrilled to see his career blossom and I think he is a fantastic actor - not being biased.... Never seeks the limelight and really lives his roles. Well done Sean, well deserved and we're all proud of you!!
Matt Kerry wow lucky that you knew him I want to meet him but the problem is we’re both very shy people 😂Awww I want to see that picture of him and you
I was at high school with Sean, played rugby with him in the school team. He was a troubled individual, it seemed, at school, but a great actor and a credit to him.
I'm here after watching MI5 and stunned by his brilliant acting! I really love the way he acted Solomon Lane which is so badass and charming to me lol! Hope to see his next coming up movie soon. And hope to see him win the award in the future hahah!! BTW this one is soooooo CUTE!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!
Harris often plays weirdos, psychopaths and outcasts, but it's really cool to see how in real life he actually seems to be very funny and easy-going. His comic timing in this speech is so good, in an awkward, dry humor kind of way. It would be great to see him in some comedies in the future.
I've only seen him as Micheletto , in the Borgias --- BUT , he absolutely " stole the show " , in some ways . I've read how hard he prepares for roles and builds up characters --- well , it certainly showed in the Borgias . Micheletto had real characteristics , he had a " real person " feel about him .The way he stood , hand tucked in his doublet ; that voice menacing and mesmerising at the same time . Micheletto had a kind of solid honesty , although life has pushed him to violence and extremes . The spy-lover reading those lines to him and he said " I have felt like that , all my life . " He had no illusions about himself . Such a lot of nuanced expressions and obviously great depths of feeling --- that speech to Lucrezia , about how he would love his children , if he had any ..... the look of comprehending disappointment and hurt , when Vanozza took the baby out of his arms --- that little swallow and the hurt in his eyes ( Lucrezia had trusted him completely , with the child , justifiably so ) and the way he held his hands still , like a kid , as his mother wiped them with a towel ... an unconscious return to childhood ..... In short , he was BRILLIANT , and it was awful when he disappeared the show lost some of its depth , definitely the best " real character " .....
Weirdly enough I just randomly watched that movie seconds before reading this comment, and I didn’t even realise it was Harris in the movie lol. Gotta say as a man from the area his Norfolk accent is really quite good
so clear he hadn't written a speech and therefor had no idea he was going to win. I was actually quite surprised he turned up! he seems to be one of the few actors nowadays who is doing it for the art and not the fame. I've not seen him in anything where he isn't totally electric. well done, mate!
Congratulations to Sean, well deserved win. He's one of the best actors in the UK. Love his speech too, what a sweetheart x Also, nice one to Dominic West who actually looked genuinely pleased to see Sean winning the award.
Always had a lot of time for Sean when I was living in London. So chuffed for him that he has won this, hilarious that he gave a shout out to Bob from the Florist.
Man, this guy is one of the best actors out there. I've first seen him in his role as Micheleto in The Borgias and was really impressed. Then i watched Deliver Us from Evil and i got atonished as how good he interpreted his character. He deserves much more main roles and credit.
I loved this character - personality wise all three seasons. His appearance didn’t do much for me in Season 1, but Seasons 2&3 - with long hair - I found him oddly sexy 😁
@@siobhanofarrell4646 Me too !! Couldn't help seeing that THERE WAS a heart under there ... ref. the scenes with Lucrezia ..... hurt had turned him to violence ...
Best actor around and I LOVE his work. He is brilliant and I NEVER miss anything he's in. I can imagine though this speech was hard as he comes across as such an intensely shy and private man. For people saying they couldn't understand him in Jamaica Inn - I think it was down to the BBC sound department (regardless what the BBC say to the contrary). Sean Harris and the rest of the cast have never 'muttered' and 'mumbled' through their roles so there'd be no reason for them to do it in this. However, I still loved it and, as usual, Sean Harris stole every scene he was in.
Sean plays MacDuff in the upcoming Macbeth 2015 and was the father to my three children in the movie, he was absolutely lovely with them on set and played Crossbows with my youngest son, shooting Elizabeth Debicki trailer door with sticky darts. She was just as nice with the children
Actually whilst I don't like the phrase "one of the greatest" , Sean Harris can stand amongst the best. He is a true character actor if even the phrsse actually meant something. Give him a good role and he will absolutely nail it. i would absolutely put him on the same level as Philip Seymour Hoffman, Daniel Day-Lewsi or any of the other well celebrated actors of his generation and below.

Tim Hole There are many good actors, that's why i said it. I agree, he would play any difficult role because he is awesome
Tim Hole He is a fantastic actor. I've watched just about everything he has done and he blows me away. He is absolutely up there with a Philip Seymour Hoffman, I agree. I cant wait to see more from him in the future.
Absolutely adorable. I'm in love. Goes to show you what a fine actor he is: the transformation from this lovely, bashful, sweet man to the sociopath, Micheletto Corella in The Borgias, is amazing. The satisfied look in his eyes as Micheletto when killing somebody was like a drug-induced physical rush. His eyes betrayed a cold, soulless shell with no conscience. What a fine actor.
Yes , he WAS amazing in the Borgias , but I saw Micheletto differently --- not soulless , not a shell . He had terrific passion , usually reined in --- he was like a taut spring a lot of the time . But look at the scenes with Lucrezia and her little boy . That speech about how he would love his children , if he had any .... his hurt , when Vanozza lifted the child out of his arms , as though he were not to be trusted ..... Sean Harris made Micheletto a very nuanced character ...... the really despicable , revolting , repulsive character was Juan Borgia --- even his mother didn;t like HIM !!!
Sean Harris is such a great actor. I enjoy watching anything what he is in. I first saw him playing Ian Curtis in 24 hour party people and thought there was something about him then.
Damn, I had no idea this guy had won a BAFTA - he so deserves it, one of my favourite actors. I've been a fan of his for a long time, and let's hope he starts to get the recognition he so truly deserves. And to top it off, he is clearly a very humble man, which is always nice to see in a world of assholes who think they are better than they really are. Brilliant, and I loved the "YES SEAN" at the beginning... :o)
The best acceptance speech I have ever seen, from the heart, brilliant. Comes across as the nicest guy alive yet seems to have been typecast into the dark, often unhinged spectrum of roles.
how crushing is it for him to win and be celebrated for his success? well once he gets used to the idea, he really relaxes and we get to see just how great he is. Well Deserved Award.!
congratulations sean !!! lovely man, great actor ... happy for you!! still dont understand why you didnt get it for your micheletto... anyway, its never too late! love you!
I can't understand that either --- he REALLY deserved an accolade for that part ! Micheletto stole every scene he appeared in ..... I found myself kind of waiting , looking forward to him turning up in every scene that played .... He was such a " complete character " , a real person .
I rewatched MI:Rogue Nation and is still blown up (and scared) by the portrayal of the villain, watching this really gives me whiplash of how precious this guy is. Amazing act!
I have first seen him in Possum and it was one of the best actings i have seen. I must say he is really an underrated talent. We should see him in leading roles more often.
I certainly think these award bits should be aired on BBC AMERICA! Would have been most pleasurable. Also, would enjoy the earlier one aired on tv during winter. Would love to see it again as well. The humor & comments are absolutely fabulous:)
Ah he IS BABY!!!! I love! He def deserves so much more recognition! His work is so intense and he really IS the characters he plays. I love him. Pure boi
What a joy to hear Sean Harris accept this well deserved award. His dry humor and self-effacing manner is so refreshing compared to Hollywood pomposity. His characters stay with me forever; he is that good an actor.
Just watched Possum. I want to simultaneously hug the hell out of him and punch him all at the same time. I cannot imagine what it took, as an actor, for him to pull me into the unrelenting terror of a childhood where bad things happen and no one is coming to save you. Just going to call a therapist now and talk about Possum. Thanks. Also, Harry Brown. The things Sean can do with just an expression, a micro-expression and lighting is just unbelievable. Michael Caine, who starred in the movie, Harry Brown was very impressed with Harris. I am guessing I'm the only one here who hasn't seen the Mission Impossible movies with Sean, but I'm a total fan now, so, I suppose I can force myself to watch it for his sake.
Discovered him in LONELY PLACE TO DIE opposite another brilliant actor, Karel Roden, and was blown away by his performance and been following him ever since!
Thank you for your reply Carolyn . He was totally brilliant in that role . The whole performance came from within the depth of a very "real" character . It didn't seem like an actor " being " Micheletto , it was Micheletto " being" himself . Really TERRIFIC and so memorable .
