LSU has talent on defense. I love the moves at safety. Ryan, Gilbert and McBride will be a huge upgrades from last year. The egde is talented as well, and should do great now that they have a coach. This coaching staff going to make great strides.

@@Saph_AdamsGood point, we do need that young talent on the D to step up if we are going to improve, Kylin Jackson, McBride, Toviano, Stamps and Wallace Foster are going to have to play well for us to turn it around

As you mentioned LSUs % went down when the transfers were added to the equation. They actually moved up in the ranking though. Went to #6 and sooners dropped and fell below both LSU and texass. How long you been hooked up with Locked on LSU? Have watched it some in the past. Not so much recently. The woman that did it when I watch just couldn't hold my inerest. Thanks and those bama burning pieces were GOLD.

Matt House defenses are 1 hit wonders! Kentucky had a great D 1 year and the next they sucked. I have saw many break downs of the House led defense against the 23 Bama offense, and all rave about how House confused the hell out of Brice. He played all of the different coverage groups and it had Brice in a blender. With that being said he had vet DBs that understood how to play all the diffent coverages effectively. Heck most NFL teams only play 3 coverages a game , imaging a college team playing 8 diffent coverages and 5 diffrent fronts , that is mentally expensive to an underclassman with 1 yr of college exp.! House is a good coordinator but not a good teacher , and with younger rosters you need skilled teachers that can really the info/& data to 19yr old kids

I think bk is the problem more so, when he talks about the defense he says what we want to do that zone ish has bk all over it, his defenses had that same style at nd

Are you saying that a more complicated NFL type defensive scheme was beyond the ability of this seemingly decent coach [House] to get thru to a this [or any] SEC school level squad or are you suggesting that it was a poorer than usual squad at that time such that the scheme was above their ability to absorb and implement it. Would an experienced and previously successful SEC coach not know to taper his scheme to the level of his playing talent?
