That is precisely why Korea represents the east (to the western world). Foreigners "get" the Korean mentality and culture.

Looks more a mix of Tai Chi "combative moves" + some military combat moves. They learn to "absorb" strikes too. But I wonder how quickly they can call on this ability in a real life situation. There's a video with Sifu Leo Au Yeung visiting 2 Systema schools in Russia. Worth watching to get an idea of Systema. Interesting these Koreans have adapted or learned Systema. Being open to non-Korean MA styles. A good thing in my book. Just a little surprised.

While DK Yoo's Systema is very unique, I reckon this bit of theory was picked up from Vladimir Vasiliev's teachings. Dancing has a lot in common with acrobatics and martial arts when observing body mechanics.

Bryan Speer He's explaining about the relaxation of muscle. Basically, When the opponent tries to push or punch, you should relax the muscle so that you can offset or take less impact of the strike. Relaxing the muscle of potential impact point while the other body parts need to be still. I'm not a good explainer, but I hope this helps. I can barely hear what he says because of the music in the background.

Well doe video and even though not in English very understandable The key is breath work and relaxation if you re breathing properly and are relaxed, then wen pushed or moved or punched or kicked you will absorb the strike and naturally be ready with lots of counters because you will be in the right place. I have spent 35 years studying different forms of martial arts and this is a concept that is very hard to really get and understand in many ways. I have found the only way to understand is just train the system. As a matter of fact I never thought much of Systema in my past, but now that I am older, a lot more mature, and have a lot more experience I can understand more about it and see and understand how it works, and in many ways is superior, but fact is its not the art but the practitioner that makes the art.

@jharju2352
@jharju2352 8 лет назад
тик так I'll try to make sense using the translator. Вы расслабленной и остаться дышать легко. Мышцы напрягаются только тогда, когда ваша удар или удар касаясь противника. Обучение быстрые мышцы занимает много времени и упорного тренировки.
