I've got the black version and this has me seriously wanting that strapcode bracelet. That looks really good on this watch.

Got the 051, and love mine, a big step up from most Seiko's. The stock bracelet is just amazing, the best Seiko bracelet ever . Thought I'd have a change and put a beautiful handmade leather strap on it, but the next day , I had to put the bracelet back on . It's that good.

The 62mas reinterpretation has got to be my favorite Seiko divers that I own 3 (the black, blue & Padi). The fit and finishing is great.

I really like this particular series of Seiko Diver. The design is very well done. The way the case is finished is the highlight. The Padi version of this is equally nice, as well as the black version.

Very nice .I prefer my Japanese Orient m force but I like a big watch with power reserve indicator and 45 mm too much for most people .Its def quality no doubt and can see why you love it .

Thanks for posting the link for the correct strapcode bracelet for this watch, like you I ordered on with silicon rubber, which is great btw, cheaper to get the strapcode which in my opinion is superior to Seiko's product which has given me nothing but headaches unless I have it done by a jeweler. Not expensive, but $15 here and there ads up, and changing links with screws is far easier.

I own this watch, and I also agree it's the best diver from Seiko. I think this is the best color combination I saw in any watches. 2nd best is SRP 307. These are just my opinions.

I got one at Christmas and do love it as well, mine is not as accurate as yours tho +8 sec day still good for this price point

Why i can't find the stainless steel strap ??

Stunning watch if you get a well aligned one. The Lume is unbelievable, even 8 hours later it is still visible - you so often see lume shots that are meaningless as they are taken seconds after the light source is removed but this watch last forever (well not quite).

Dude you HAVE to get the stock bracelet for this piece. I bought one and it just makes the piece 100X better than it already is... Kinda pricey, but worth it.

Amazing Seiko with fine quality, 50 hour movement and detailing. But how about a 4:30 date window so the face is balanced out?

I like cloth band best. Winter days, wearing a steel watch is really a hell.

It is a beautiful watch, but I don't like it on metal bracelets w/o end links.

Nice review, shame the blue does not show too well in the video, I love the look of this watch, as you know I’m not the biggest Seiko fan but this is something special, I think I would be tempted if I had not just bought a Squale 1521 in azure blue. Might I suggest as an alternative to that bracelet a Staib bracelet or mesh from Long Island Watch, would maybe not quite so heavy. I’m glad I’m not the only one who is anal about index alignment on watches, nothing is worse than when hands don’t line up correctly, bezels too.

I got this watch today. JDM import. At first wasn't impressed. After I unwrapped the plastic. Set the time and date. Hand winded it. My mind changed. I love the rubber strap and wanted it on purpose. One of if not the most comfortable watches I own. Like you if I decide to get a bracelet. Will go with Strapcode. And either will go with Marc at Long Island Watch. Or just go and order direct from Strapcode. Reason is in many cases they make a watch specific band. Price isn't much different and they get it to you in like 3 days. Also have the Alpinist. Oddly I love it. One of the smallest watches I own. Also a JDM version. To me I prefer it to Hamilton and not just because of price. Just replaced the watch band with a nice leather Barton. Have a Strapcode for it but holding off using it. Nice review.

It's a shame to put an unsigned bracelet on that watch, I'd get a tapered bracelet for that watch though, this continuous chord design and its overly thick link-depth just doesn't harmonies with the style look of this watch. Thanks for saying "pierced lugs" and "Zaratsu-Style" instead of just "Zaratsu" like so many people say. :)

The bezel is polished stainless steel not aluminium. If you have a minimum knowledge from school, aluminium is a very soft material…

It never fails to bewilder me when a RU-vidr doing a review on a seiko is thrilled when everything lines up and works properly. I wouldn't by a watch with that kind of history. People still love and buy them, go figure. Seiko, true marketing genius.
