I've been watching your videos to practice on how to play effectively and i can barely pull half of what you do on most bosses, you've been a massive inspiration to go through Sekiro and play as hard as possible. Godspeed, you magnificent bastard.
so funny to hear this opinion. i think owl father flow is way better and overall way easier. maybe i’m too much of a spaz but i have such a hard time with this fight. feels like it takes me forever even w tons of attack power.
He is destroying me on NG+ with constant flow and no breaks like on 2:30, and i dont have any solution but to parry perfect, its insane hard i cant reach 100% perfection Rekt
Currently working on this rn but with charm and no demon bell. It’s so hard with no upgrades. I’m not that good at parrying him. He does whatever he wants sometimes. I managed to take 70% of the phase 2 only one time. I’m getting better.
For those fast back to back hits, are you supposed to double tap L1 in quick succession or just hold L1 since they come together so fast? Sorry for the scrub question...
Late reply, but you can't block two consecutive attacks with only one katana parry. It is possible, however, to block multiple attack if you tap parry button while under umbrella prosthetic (opening the umbrella itself does now allow multiple parry).
I find it rather funny that people call it a "perfect" deflect even though there's only one type of deflect: deflect. If you don't deflect, you either block or you get hit. But, I can't control what people say, so this is basically meaningless. I just like to say things that I find funny.
Geez, give the guy a break... The boss is too old for this abuse. XD I still wonder why kusabimaru still doesnt break after all that parries from a huge sword..
First of all: unreal. I'm officially hanging up the gloves after watching this :-) Second: how come your posture goes up to like 98% over and over but not once it fills up? How is that possible?
Your posture will never break as long as you keep getting perfect deflects, if you mistime it and block the attack instead of deflecting it then it would break his guard and stagger him
I've been attempting to learn this strategy but one thing I can't get down is attacking 3 times after Owl's shuriken+jump attack. He always staggers so that he's facing me and can block the 3rd attack. Have you got any advice for it?
You're generally safe to thrust if he's still in the recovery animation of another move. He can't cancel recovery animations to counter, so you're only at risk of mikiri counter if you thrust while he's just standing there walking/doing nothing (i.e., his AI is free to respond to your thrust), or if he's in the start-up frames of an attack (unsure about this one, but it's not a wise time to attack anyway).
The animation where he throws the Lloyd's Talisman is super long, so it's very safe to thrust in. I would've though it'd be more efficient to use that time to get 2-3 normal hits in, but I'm not the one beating Owl at 1 attack power without getting hit.
@@MrBellsprout I wouldn't actually head on attack him when he's throwing Lloyd's Talisman cuz I need my heals. but I was referring to thrusts right after deflects such as at 0:03, I feel like the animation isn't too long for me to safely land a thrust. if I wanted to thrust attack him, I'd usually do it after that sommersault sword slam.
