This video came out awesome. This is easily the deepest dive into my story, my 86, and my shop set up on the internet and it was so much fun to film. Thanks guys.
Man wtf!? This is absolutely epic. At 21, this dude is going to go seriously far in this game. So awesome to see what young people are capable of and are doing. Best of luck man.
he probably gets all the money for it from his rich dad. no way a 21 yo with maybe 3 years of job experience is going to be able to afford this. dude isn't even collage graduate age.
@@ARCbirdman Darkshadow is right tho he started saving for it at 16 and by 17 he had saved up enough average cost is 21k what 16 year old you know can save up 21k for a car and lets not forget the massive amount of tools and parts he had to buy for his build and the show he got when he was 19..... there is no way dont get me wrong its a beautiful build but he defiantly got the money from his rich family
@@Cryptonationxyz debt is somewhat likely. And seeing as I'm working part time as a recent high school and I make 23k a year part time...I kinda find it hard to believe that someone who has been saving since they were 16 and now 21 wouldn't have enough money 🤷
Most of us don't have tens and tens and tens of thousands of dollars, property, tow trucks etc lol. Kid is talented but so was I and all my friends, one of his wheels cost more than most of our entire builds in the 2000's. Videos like these need to make clear that none of this would be possible without being born into money. He's lucky as hell.
Incredibly inspiring story man. This kinda shit takes tremendous willpower and determination. I'm not even a huge car guy myself but I couldn't turn this video off. Being totally self-taught in every aspect of developing, prototyping, and building an entire car so robustly and clean says things words simply could never express. Generation-defining guy right there.
i wouldnt really say is inspiring he has all the money and time in the world to learn every skill and all the tools to make his wants and need for his car to become reality.,
@@Cryptonationxyzfr, people really have no idea how much money helps...along with the internet. Anything you could EVER want to learn is at your finger tips, all you need is time and to get more time you need more money.
@@MrSirGiuseppeou still have to plan it out, you can't just put time and money without having a plan or structure. Knowledge, experience, and motivation is still required for it to work. Think of businesses, just because you bought it doesn't mean it'll succeed even in the long term and throwing money into, you still have to run the business for it to function, you also still have to make a structure, a plan for it to actually succeed. People fail, they give up, it doesn't need to be just money alone, can be a mental thing regrets etc.
@@MrSirGiuseppeyou might have a point if he won the lottery and funded a team to build it, but he didn't. He built it himself. Making it real takes a staggering amount of willpower and dedication, in addition to the actual money to purchase tools, supplies, materials, parts, _the car itself..._
@@EnhancedTrashBin all of that is included 'time'. Typically if you have enough money to start a business, you have enough to succeed..its ultimately up to you whether you do or not. Most people I've ever known personally or heard about who owned businesses and lost everything, had plenty of chances and warning to get out or fix their issues.
@@grqfeshe saved over a lot more than a year to buy the car. The guy was building skate ramps and decks for neighborhood kids when he was a kid himself. That takes grit.
He’s not. That’s daddies money lol. 0% chance he didn’t have help. You don’t buy a $20K car at age 17 unless you have significant help yet alone a freaking SHOP.
@@zane812 you don't really cut up a car you have a down payment on. He saved up enough and his grandpa was proud of him and bought the car for him, I believe was the original story. Not sure how he afforded the shop. Rent?
@@MajesticHF 20-30k/yr who is getting this money at 17-21. My country is famous for its relatively cheap work hand. I make 20400 country currency when you convert it to dollars is 11212. Inflation didn't help, many prices are x2 for some food and other supplies. The only way to make money here is to offer some service and work a second job. The good paying jobs are mostly occupied by people put there by others like ( close friend or boss that work in the same company) there are always exceptions of course.
I've wanted a full feature on this car for a really long time I have the video that Larry Chen did a while ago on my favorites playlist and actually watch it quite frequently this is literally the ultimate project car for me I hope someday I can create something half as cool as this
@@blackpanda7612 If you happened to watch the video the guy worked his ass off to buy the car to begin with. And when he hit that point where the money was obscene he shifted his focus to writing sponsor proposals. If you work hard enough anything is possible
Super inspiring, Always enjoy seeing someone confident in their ideas and willing to try and fail! Dudes gonna be doing great stuff in the future if he keeps it going
The coolest bit to me is these cars are normally Form > Function but once Cam started talking about all the stuff underneath you can really tell that it is all about the Function and the From just comes naturally from Cams style. Super sick car.
Amazing story and personal character glad you made this video with TRC. Personally I Completely understand the situation of commitment and having doubting parents..... mine kinda did the next step of communication doubting to attacking the person's value till they give in or failure then commence to kick when down for months and years. Any new project to rebuild personal growth.... repeat. It's encouraging to hear your life experience, insight and vision throughout the build. Thank you 👍
I praise this young man, it's not everyday you see a person who wants to learn, fabricate, and take chances all because they absolutely love their automobile. "Enthusiast" doesn't do any justice for this man. Keep pushing, I can't wait to see what you come up with in the future.
Amazing build by an incredibly inteligent and talented young man. His enthusiasm, creativity, ability to learn and decisiveness in his build is so impressive for anyone, let alone someone his age! I look forward to seeing his future projects...
I’m so envious of this kids determination. I’m affected by adhd & it is very hard for me to stay committed to something. This truly makes me feel inspired to try more
Get some dopaminergic stimulants in you and focus away. I have Asperger's which comes with ADHD and other free sides that I wouldn't wish on ANYONE. Making things even harder than having ADHD alone, though some days I only have ADHD symptoms that chewing coca leaf while on 7.5-12.5mg dextro amphetamine 5-6hrly makes me hyper focus on what I need to do (I often have no problem hyper focusing on what I don't need to do without supplements 😂) . I feel your pain, but also know countless people with ADHD who can focus and stay on track with the use of dopaminergic stimulants, namely various amphetamines. Some run businesses, let alone do trades such as fab and mechanical work with deadlines for paying customers. I believe in you mate. Wishing you all the best. Have a great day or night wherever you are. Neuro divergence is the new neuro typical. Psilocybin is great for the neuroplasticity it causes, leading to rewiring and a hyper connected brain. It's done wonders for me and millions of other people at flood down to microdoses worldwide for millenia. G'day and goodnight from Australia. 🤟
Trulia mad scientist torn everything that you did and create a vehicle like that. I can't imagine how much work you put into getting sponsors getting money and being able to do what you did congrats and thank you for sharing it with us and I can't wait to see what the future brings for you.
I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for him, if this is what his 1st build looks like, I can’t imagine his skill set in 5 years or so. He’s the next Chip Foose, Ring Brothers, Kindig-It. I’ve been waiting to see this car on the road, great video!!!.
Amazing car and guy, met him the other weekend. Also so proud to see how far Charles has came as a videographer and following his dreams to cover crazy shit like this!
No this is definitely a little more the pure talent. I’m 25 and I do a lot of custom fab and have done many engine swaps but even I will admit it would never be possible without my dad…he help me out like crazy and just looking at this guys shop and tools…he got way more help the even I did. This guy obviously has all the support from his parents. Can’t knock the guy for it but at the same time it should be stated and recognized.
His passion & drive are thru the roof for a young fella. Such a badass car. Im genuinely excited to follow his journey. His level of talent is just insane.
respect, he did a lot work spend into that car and absolutely did great even without following the usual rules of calculateing and engineering. he defnitly have a passion and you can see how much time hes investing into it. great work, hope you keep up the good work, and your selfmade parts wont fail ❤
I absolutely love the look of those headers as a pipe welder. it looks absolutely bat shit crazy and the welds also look really good! well done to the guy who made that idea into reality!
Great advice at the end! Now get the beast tuned and do a part 2 of this hitting the track. Following the IG to keep up with future updates on the ride, killer build Cameron!
I was a few years later than him. Did it in my early 20s. Bought my first car with paper route money. The main help from parents was living at home cheap, NOT FREE. didn't do suspension but i did buy welder and teach myself and installed roll bar. A lot is possible on your own.
I followed this build for some time already and for the reason, that cam is as old as me, he is a true inspiration. I have some dreams for all the cars i have, but i will have to pretty much reorganize myself. I will have to get to every one of my 6 cars that i own at this point, but as you showed us, this is very much possible
@@douglasgreninger110 He mentioned he had help/ sponsors but I more meant the enthusiastic type 🤷♂️🤣 was a Rich guy hater too until I figured out they are the ones keeping the wheel turning give guys 9-5 jobs.
Many ppl here calling out his rich background, but that makes it even more awesome. Rich kids always get what they want by buying it ready. This guy has crazy motivation and enthusiasm to work up his skills even tho he could just stack cash for some1 else to make the build for him. How many ppl are willing to cut out the front end from a 1000usd car just to rebuild it better? Mad respects for the guy!
I see a lot of negativity, claiming he’s a spoiled rich kid, which is how this dream build for him, came to fruition. Honestly, where are the funding came from, is irrelevant. Who cares if he earned and saved, had financial aid from the family, provided parts from sponsors, credit card, debt, all of the above, etc. The commitment, knowledge/experience gains, ingenuity, hard, work, passion, etc., deserves nothing but absolute praise. There’s a unbelievable amount of kids with financial privilege, that aren’t even scratching the surface of their potential, and are wasting their lives away, partying, and playing video games. I’m not a fan of this particular car scene, but I have nothing but respect and admiration, for this dude 🙌
I’m glad you made this video telling his story. As much as I love social media because I get the chance to see amazing people do amazing things, I hate the downside. Horrible people talking down on people being negative. People were saying that he got Wealthy parents dumping money on you. Or that he was faking it and didn’t do it himself and couldn’t have the knowledge and skills to do it. I love his story and passion. He’s very talented and I can’t wait to see his next project 🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Great video! The amount of dedication to his craft and the extremity of this art piece is utterly inspiring. What a machine. It needs to be suspended with walkways around it for people to look at it from every angle lol
MASTERPIECE! its tru they say LESS IS MORE... so clean. The Kid DESERVES MAD RESPECT - the drive - the dedication - the vision - the finished product -------------- what a story ! inspiring!
Man keep on it ! Make a check list of all your little issues that hamper drivability and knock it out 1 by 1. I have worked on countless vehicles. Getting things totally fine tuned is fulfilling !
Awesome video, I'm impressed with his god damn welds let alone anything else! Instead of hating on this guy for having an awesome build, why don't you draw inspiration and make your own reality better? I probably won't ever have anything like that equipment let alone ability, even just a hoist is a dream for me, but still it doesn't stop me from making my own project build to the best of my situation. Way to go young man, shows what time and focus can do.
This guy has crazy a natural aptitude for mechanical inclination paired w work ethic and dedication, but Self taught doesn’t mean the same thing it did when i was a kid. RU-vid info is more comprehensive than any class i ever took, and it offers way more techniques and opinions than any one master could ever teach. Better described as an unconventional, purposely directed education.
The haters just wish it didn’t run. Crazy amount of respect for tackling this build alone. I do all my work transmission and engine swaps, but this fabricating is on another level. Keep killing it!
Video doesnt do it justice at how immaculate this car is, in person its a whole different world, amount of attention to detail that is in this car is amazing
14: I feel like walking us through what you said and how you went about getting sponsors would help a LOT of people out. That seems like such a huge and luck driven step but you got it and knowing how would be amazing.
