Your BMS has no active balancing even with your new update.Its near 2023 and still you didn't include on board as JK BMS which supports active balance.Its important for large battery to have this feature.

So older BMS's cannot be firmware updated for some of the new features? I have 7 of your BMS's, and would love it if they all communicated wirh each other(100amp and 200amp versions).

The active balancer technology is not mature currently. We recommend getting an extra balancer for non-cosistency cells.

Buy a Neey Balancer, you can turn off and on via bluetooth also, if your cells have problem over 3,45 V

@@derfreiemensch yeah I don't get why they say it's not mature yet when neey has a very good product why not use that technology and integrated into the BMS itself? Even something with half the current that the neey offers would be fine even a 2amp current would be good

can we now combine CAN and RS485 bms in the same stack ? does CAN et RS485 version share the same inter communication protocole now ? can you add an option to set internal or external balancer and have a digital pin available to activate an external balancer. Thank ;-)

1. yes, integrated on one board. 2. different protocols, but all protocols pre-programmed. 3. will achieve maybe V17 generation.

Serial connection ? I want replace rack UPS 192V (max 215V, 30A) Battery into 52s1p LFP and I need connect 4 BMS in series - no any can/485 communication bcs UPS not use any. Serial connection is possible ?

rs485 IS serial, I assume you mean RS232 .

@@patrickmaartense7772 No, I not say about communication - I no any RJ45/RS232/RS485. I say about a HighVoltage, means serial connection of all cells and BMSs when V is adding to each other. In car you have often 96serial - one string - one chain know as serial connection (not parallel). UPDATE: Seplos on YT have video thay create a HV Battery... but not as DIY version... we wait for that bcs all big power 3phase inverters use only HighVoltage Battery

The voltage measurements should really be done with a multimeter with 4 wire probes, not 2 wire as shown. Also you could safe a lot of time and money by using a calibrated high quality IR camera instead of wiring up the probes manually.

Is the V16 (or future V17) BMS compatible with previous version BMS? I currently have two previous version CAN bms, but my inverter is RS485.

according to their answer , we can"t have CAN bms toconnected with RS485 bms . bcoz internal communication is still different when inverter port is configured as CAN or RS485. But yes we need to know if this new bms are compatible with the previous one. I can't see why it would not be.

The lack of a reply from Seplos regarding the question above most likely means the answer is "No", the V-16 won't play well with the 10D or 20D boards, so if you bought the wrong version board (Seplos never said there were 2 different versions in their advertisement) you're out of luck.

@@danh.6610 I agree with your comment. I think the changes are not just software/firmware, but also hardware, which means having to buy new. They should at least have a trade in program for previous customers. I think I have about 20k already invested in Seplos components.

@@SeplosTechnology Thank you so much! I would recommend a technician who has experiance in this field. A normal translator, who does not know what high and low voltage is, will not do the trick in this case.
