I love Google Voice! I ported my US number and use it for 2FA, though some websites can tell it's a voip and it doesn't work :( Ally Bank, or example. But overall, I love Google voice.
It's true, some companies don't like the Voip. For some reason we've found that Jedd's Google Voice number almost always works even when Michelle's doesn't, not sure why except that it's older.
