Another tid-bit about Venus first loss as a professional player has another quote that was interesting. She was asked how losing in this first professional match compared to her "losses" as a junior player. She responded that she couldn't say because she had no match losses while she played juniors. Serena only lost twice while playing juniors... to Venus.
She is a fantastic role model for young women every where of any body size. I honestly believe my career choices would have been different if someone like Serena was around and using her voice when I was a little girl. Unless you could sing or dance there was no one around who looked like me in powerful positions and I thought no one is going to take me seriously so I settled for less. Serena williams has done so many things that make her look extremely guilty. If there's this much controversy about her using peds, and considering how dominant she is, as well as showing many physical traits of someone who is taking peds, and she knows about it, I would want to take a drug test every month just to reassure the people, and I would have absolutely no problem doing it, honestly would be happy to do so. Although it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the drug tests were all bs.
My daughter and met her years ago and it was my daughter who notice her first in admiration. She was coming out of Whole foods in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She had a pink and white Fiat. I went to her respectfully and ask if she would mine if she would take a picture with my daughter she told me no, she was busy. Then a Caucasian man flew across the parking lot with his phone to address her, she acknowledge him and took pictures. She was fine with him doing so. From that day forward she has left a bad taste in my mouth. I always admired and looked up to her as did my daughter. Not anymore. Respect her yes Admiration No and never for right now. I always thought she looked like a man. There are many black women that are stunning with shapely feminine bodies but I don't find her feminine. My husband is black and I valued his opinion. She is a great tennis player and probably a good person.

I love Serena. Yet, The sexism complaint in the Osaka match is BS. If she took the warning and moved on, she would not have been adversely affected. You can't show up a rep and expect to get away with the behavior. Her dad&mom taught her how to cope with those situations as kids. But, apparently, Serena forgot her parent's training. She has been a super tennis USA&international ambassador. Stop the yelling, screaming, distractions and focus on at least one or two more grand slam wins. The Kardashians should be envious of how often Serena puts the spotlight on herself. Remember seeing her on the red carpet at the Academy awards and coming on stage to hand out an Oscar to a category winner a few years ago. I said to myself at the time I would never see Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer being asked to do that by the academy. Seemed really over the top.

I am sure that would be with the sports bra still in place. However many Americans are crazy weird. The went nuts when an Olympic champion Stripped to her sports bra after winning gold at a soccer match. Sports bra covers very well.
