We know our mama loves to give back to the people.. Schools in Jamaica she help built and donate to, the recreation center in their community in Compton, business in helping women’s rights and this.. Go Serena
This is the fittest Serena has been in a long time and it showed!!!. This win will give her the confidence she needs to go all out at the Australian Open. The Road to #24 begins.
Did anyone see how Serena said YES!! YES!! at the end... What some people may not understand is: sometimes, there are chains in one's life that need to be broken before the rising of the new Sun. She has broken that chain, full of the passion of when she was born to be free!! and now the sun shall rise, because yesterday's chains have broken in two!! And she believes again. This match was SO SIGNIFICANT in ways that are immensely factorial. Ways that unlock the soul, and "set a new stumbling block for all who wish to take some more from her powerhouse".
Serena our queen, you make us proud. Go gurl we are strongly behind you. We hope and pray you win a grand slam title if not grand slam titles this year.
This is a great win for her and I am a huge huge fan of hers however even though she’s moving well I think she is going to have to move even better and her shots as powerful as they are the top girls are beginning to match her Power except for the service which I think Serena still has the best in the women’s game.I think she has a shot at getting one more grand slam before hanging it up. Just being honest.
It can prove to be a really really important final win for Serena. Tho she seemed nervous at start but played fine tennis later on. Btw guys, I have an international tennis WhatsApp group (ATP+WTA combined) for tennis fans. We discuss tennis related stuffs and also normal fun chit chat. Interested people can ping me up on this number. +91 8638525631. Thanks.
It depends tho. I have already mentioned is some other comment that Serena did not face any top player in Auckland. It's a good week for her definitely. But just look at the semifinals of Brisbane. Keys vs Petra. A tough 3 setter. Then Naomi vs Pliskova, a GS final level match. Btw guys, I have an international tennis WhatsApp group (ATP+WTA combined) for tennis fans. Jouc12 _ Maybe she continues to play and as long as that is the case, she has theoretically the chance to win another slam. When Serena retires, then you can tell that she can‘t win more slams.
@@jeffreykaufmann2867 I'd also like to see her playing Pliskova, Osaka, Keys, Bertens, Kvitova, etc.. Rather than some noname Pegula.. to easy for anyone to win this tournament
People take c-section births for granted. It is a MAJOR surgery that completely compromises "the core" muscles which are so important, especially to tennis athletes. That 9 weeks timeline is total BS! It takes at least a year to totally heal and evaluate where they are.....
So true, also she had surgery twice! She is a walking miracle and to be playing at highest level is a blessing. As much I would like her to win 25-30slams before she retires, I was happy she got pregnant, had a family when she did, there are more important things in life than trophies. I will be contented to see her healthy, happy and live to enjoy her fruit of labour for decades to come.
The perfect warm-up to AO. I hope she uses this to find out what she needs to work on, and improve her cardio as the other top players are bigger hitters than most of the people she played here. Here's hoping for 24!!
She looked kinda sad out there. Like an old hen that needed to retire. I don’t know. Just looked weird but clearly was the better player this time. Her grunting has become so desperate. I wonder if she has noticed how awful some of her grunting sounds.
Out of all her wins so far this is the most special. It was a long road but she showed motherhood doesn’t have to be the end. Happy for Serena and hoping this gives her back her confidence in finals. Here’s to her getting the Golden Slam in 2020.
Motherhood is nothing new, folks. Serena did not invent it! Many women, in all sports, have had children. Plus, I seriously doubt if Serena has even changed a diaper. She has a whole entourage to do her bidding. I cannot believe how dumb some people are when they act as if she did something that nobody else has! Duh!
Smh Well I seriously see that ur showing urself as a Fool for just thinking so because she is RICH! GO AND LOOK AT HER VIDEOS ON UTUBE AND ELSEWHERE 🙄🙄 There may have more mother's like her but Not many were there doing what she does and how she does it! What the hell is Wrong with you people mentality? STOP JUDGING OR INSINUATING STARS because they are Rich, especially when ur Unsure of their lifestyle. SERENA MAKES TIME TO COOK, PLAY, PLAIT HER KIDS HAIR AND TES CHANGE HER DIAPERS N NOW PULLUPS TOO! 😡😡
Well done Serena! You played a brilliant game. Go do it again in Australia! Also what a lovely gesture donating your prize money to the wild fires in Australia. A truly remarkable and beautiful woman. God bless you!
Serena started off sloppy and I thought “Oh no. Here we go again” but she picked up her game, remembered who she was and got the job done. I couldn’t be more proud of Serena and I hope this gives her the confidence needed at the Australian Open ❤️
Lets hope she does not choke again in the future!! She has a habit taking finals too seriously and end up choking!! Another issue is: Serena lacks self-esteem!! And that's why she chokes!! In her Twenties she loved her-self and won almost all finals. Now she hates her-self and has no self-esteem!! She even choked in Aukland several times!! (The Woman is mentally unstable) Yet her team Keeps ignoring the psychological/mental part of Tennis!!
Queen officially got the confidence she needed and removed the spine of previous finals. Let haters boil. Here’s to an incredible 2020 to keep showing why she’s the GOAT.
Still the one! When Serena Williams 'twirled' in that cape, with ASB trophy, she looked like the Queen of tennis (she is). The twirl gave me life. What an inspiration is Serena Williams! Hard work, never give up...has paid off! Way to go GOAT.
I don’t understand why she feels so much pressure in finals, she has won so many in the past. In the past when she got to finals she’d very rarely lose, her problem was more getting through the first rounds, anyway today she overcame early jitters and lifted a long overdue title :) best of luck for the upcoming AO
i think its coming with age and pressure to deliver. Everyone is just applauding the win without mentioning that she was under pressure. During the first break she seemed to have cried. i always say if she chooses to receive i think it helps her get into the groove of the match and would have calmed her nerves.. We must not rely on her comeback thats how she lost Wimby Simona kept tightening the and holding on, same as Bianca at US open
and everyone seems to overlook that fake people, lol, clapping for Serenas win without appreciating how hard she had to work to get there.... If we coach our kids like that they will fail.By the way I am a Serena fan.
@@iceman0187 but it has been difficult lately she should choose to receive actually to get into the groove. I noticed even at Wimby and US open thats what her opponents were taking advantage of. She started bad to be honest, nerves nerves considering the match she played yesterday. Most players have noticed that and choose to receive knowing very well she has nerves, they break and hold. We must not rely on her come back always because everyone comes to win. Our only request is Mama Olympia to master her nerves or she will pay dearly for that. Am a Serena fan but at her age we must not count on that. Even her aces have become few in final matches......
The most important part of this final was Serena serve for the title! and serves it out that the key heading into the austrailian open if it comes down to her to serve for her 24th GS title Congratulations again serena and well done!
I think it was smart making her play this tournament, she usually loses to these types of players in the GS but always plays on a whole other level when she's playing a top player.
Richard Cole I agree Also the scare she had in the first 2 games of this match and how she managed to overcome that will be beneficial in reminding herself why she is a champion in the pressures of future finals
Agree with you both. I really think she was lacking match play( outside of the GS's). Yes, she played the minimum slate of Premieres last yr but she hadn't been playing these types of tourneys for a while. I hope this is a sign of soon-to-come fortunes. Regardless, she's added another title to her name.
That's built confidence for grand slam! I never doubt of you! I always knew that you can win a final again! Never and ever doubt of serena. It's was just mental and the nervorsity that get her the last finals. I hope that she learns and she ready to become the goat at AO. I can't wait to see you win that 24th title. Love you so much my queen
As we all know her main issue was performing her best in finals since her comeback... but now that she got that winning feeling again this should give her a big boost for the Australian Open! Can't believe this is her first title since 2017! She never gives up! I think we are going to see great things this year!!
