I’m also hoping that Serena will win another grand slam, but seeing her movement now I just really do not see how she can defeat Osaka or Halep if they play their best.

I can't even begin to imagine how challenging it must be for Serena and Venus to be playing at this age. Incredible stuff to win these tough draws. Serena needs to get fitter to close a win in the finals of a grand slam especially for when she's having her challenging days!.
Serena will need a cakewalk draw to get to win a slam. Didn't face a top 20 player to get to the finals of 2019 Wimbledon. 2018 Wimbledon played qualifiers and unseeded players till the quarterfinals and didn't face a top 10 player.
Jeffrey Kaufmann how about the top 20 players who get easily destroyed by the new players. Its not her problem if she’s not able to face top 20 players , its a organisation and tournament creator problem. And against all odds she’s consistent to be at the finals though she only win runners up.

I was really impressed with Serena she is on the road to her goal of being top shape again . She still has the power, shot but serve needs to be consistent it’s still killer and she needs to move more . She moved a lot better in this match then the last so she’s getting there. I think this tournament is legit training!
They're great highlights. Siegmund came up with some stunning shots and those got highlighted. You want 8 minutes of return winners or unreturned serves? That would be boring.
@@zweigackroyd7301 well we wouldn't know since it was 8 minutes of mostly Seigemund hitting droppers and clear winners...yet...she LOST the match. Hence from the original comment: "You'd think Laura won the match from these highlights." Which is why AGAIN the highlights were terrible. If you enjoyed Seigemunds play that is fine...but WTA should make better highlights from the player that ACTUALLY won.
@@Justlooney Highlights were great, the fact that you would rather watch 8 minutes of unforced errors and standard shots is your issue. Or are you finding yourself confused as to who won despite the fact that you know who won? The WTA obviously wants to highlight the best shots, which is what people who know and play the game like to see.

I keep telling people stop counting this Champion out🤫🤫. She is so not done yet!! I feel sorry for next year because she will definitely be much faster🏃🏃. Every year since her child's birth, she is getting back in shape🏋️, thiner and faster👣. Don't worry Serena Squad, Serena has a crazy ability to pick up her form mid-tournament. AO 2017 (rusty against Strycova but crushed Konta) and Wimbledon 2019 (crap against Juvan, sharp against Goerges) come to mind :)

Siegemund is getting back to herself before the injury . well said am surprised by people who are quick to hate the loser yet she did not give it to Serena on a plate same as Mchale. I am a big Serena fan and most people tend to not acknowledge her opponents when they give her hard work. It does not take away Serenas win or Goatness just complementing!!!!!
I don't want to be pessimistic, but any other result than winning this title is not gonna be a good sign for Serena. Obviously she's gotten older and is not at her prime, but she really needs to win something before getting into a Grand Slam. Rooting for her!
